    Jayda, don't apologize for a totally fair question you asked and Brian did not answer! Stick to your guns. I love Brian and this team, but THEY earned scrutiny of the second half because it is a pattern THEY have established this season. Brian is a big boy and should have tackled the question rather than deflecting by keeping his "opening comments" in his pocket in order to use as a counter for what was obviously going to be a question about the second half. You got played and then weakly berated your original question.

      Agreed! That was a completely fair question. Brian was being difficult.

    Couple thoughts I had in watching the game; little bit sloppy for teams who are supposed to be among the league's best, but hen you see McGlynn, Sullivan, Vargas, and Atencio in this game and you have to say those young American players are showing up. I was impressed, especially with Sullivan, but certainly with Josh and Obed, who are doing the yeoman's work for the team. Also, I am starting to think we will score more goals if Jordan Morris plays less minutes.

    Great match, amazing work by the young CMs.
    One thing though, WTF happened with Jordan Morris on that second half hand ball in the box, off a corner kick? Maybe I couldn't tell from watching on my cracked smartphone, but how did he let that happen?🤷

    Good win, but it feels like it was just a bandaid fix to a more serious problem and is just delaying the inevitable … I hope the team continues winning and I’m wrong :)

    Anyone going to ask about the lack of subs? And now Brian is hinting at playing Atencio, Vargas, and Cristian another full 90 against the galaxy. You could tell we were gassed in the second half, use the subs or get rid of them. What use is a bench if you won’t play them.

  • @DxD93

    Love Jordan but he needs to see the bench from close range

    Does Morris have contractual agreement on how many minutes he gets to play? He had one good pass all game. Blocked a goal for philly.

    • @amanpicksix
      @amanpicksix Před měsícem +1

      He regularly contributes in multiple ways. He has not been sharp with the final finish, which is frustrating. He’s not a perfect player but he’s actually played well on the right wing the last two matches.

    • @mrbrooksgatz
      @mrbrooksgatz Před měsícem +2

      He can cover more ground than Rui, simple as that. Covering space is a higher value than goal scoring when protecting the lead.

      @@mrbrooksgatz stop with the insults. If you have a point, say it. When did you think Morris was effective in that game?

    • @mrbrooksgatz
      @mrbrooksgatz Před měsícem

      @@jrokur551 don’t think he was effective, but his defensive presence, physical stature and positional flexibility make him better than Raul when defending a lead. Think of all the pressure the Sounders were under in the second half, is Rui really gonna help defending corners and set pieces, holding the ball up, taking aggressive challenges?

    Brian: i dont want to make any opening statements
    *Jayda with a good direct question*

    love ya brian but please dont dodge those questions

    Schmetzer damage control after his last interview saying Raul isnt Raul anymore - now he answers the ever-inarticulate Jayda Evans, "congratulations on the win" ...but you almost lost question, with hey, Raul was amazing in the first half. Amateur hour on both sides.

    Couldn't help but laugh. They ask Schmetzer if he wants to do any opening statements. He declines.
    1st question is about protecting a 3-0 lead.
    Brian: Lemme start by saying Raul's 1st goal.
    Got me chuckling 😂
    Good to see the team winning. And Congrats to Vargas.
