Correct! AI is man made, whereas the 1st Amendment is a right recognized as “endowed by our creator”. Giving AI ‘personhood’ would imply man can reach ‘godhood’ and that AI can kill man to self preserve itself under self defense arguments.

I've never encountered an AI that advised me to commit suicide or to end my relationship. There are plenty of websites and books that discuss these sorts of topics. Why single out AI? Why should the federal government police it? Some states already criminalize the act of convincing people to commit suicide.
