Streamlining kit and removing excess has many field advantages. The more you know, the less you carry. This requires an individual to be honest with their self, knowing your strengths and weaknesses.
Thanks brother! Yes, I’m back to the grind tomorrow for a week. Glad my back is on the mend. I yanked on a snowmobile to get it put back for summer and threw my back out. Dumb move. So I was glad to finally get out rucking yesterday.
Looks great 👍🏻 well done and I appreciate the fact that you didn’t spend 10k on gear you didn’t need. One reccomendation though, if you can’t open or get into your pockets or use your gear with your gloves on, you may need different gloves or a different size, you can’t take those gloves off when it’s game time and you need to get to something.
That’s a very good point on the gloves. I do have some Mechanic brand gloves in Multicam and Tan that I do use often when I wear other camouflage patterns. Unfortunately the only CADPAT gloves out there are these surplus ones. Thanks for the tip my friend!
Nice kit set up, the only downfall, would be thr battle belt attached to the pack, if you needed to drop pack, and haul ass, you never want to be without primary gear, that can be stored on that battle belt
That’s true but every situation is a give and take. For backcountry scouting it works but if it was war time a quick snip with side cutters or with my Leatherman on the plastic holders and this system is modified as a battle belt and those clips removed. Good point! Got my brain thinking how I could rectify it for war time scenario. Thanks brother!
@@NorthwestScout this was what I was going to point out. Also with you bladder being in your ruck vs on a battle belt or H harness, if you need to quickly dump weight, dropping your ruck will remove you hydration. This is not desirable. But I like the vid. What works for you is the key!
I found the main part of the chest rig on eBay. The bungee mag pouches I got from hero outdoors. Hero Outdoors has a huge selection of aftermarket CADPAT kit. Here’s the link www.herooutdoors.com/shop/?search=cadpat Take care Nate!
Very cool, another little trick. If you ever had medicine bottles in ur kit, put toilet paper in them, it will stay dry for fire starter if needed and it will keep the medicine from making noise edit: question, is that medkit waterproof? Id hate for that stuff to get wet.
CADPAT (Canadian Disruptive Pattern). Glad you enjoyed it. I would have like to get a few more videos done but my back was in the mend. Pulled a muscle a few weeks back yanking on a snowmobile lol
@@NorthwestScoutany recommendation on sourcing? I’ve found a Russian tailor who uses cadpat clone fabric of very high quality but I can’t find any backpacks or pouches. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
@@ark2741 www.herooutdoors.com/shop/?search=cadpat cpgear.com/ These two places should get you everything you need to get kit. CP Gear makes kit for the Canadian Forces and Hero Outdoors has lots of aftermarket gear. I got my bungee mag pouches from them. Now I don’t know if it’s IRR but for bush fun it’s great.
The carrying of a hatchet for many centuries was a symbol of fashion. I prefer to limb dead branches with it and do various tasks. It has kind of become an iconic trademark symbol on my channel, breaking away from normal perceptions on load outs. Have a great day brother! Thanks for watching!
Nice
Thanks brother! Hope all is well!
awesome I enjoy hearing about trials... successes , errors, and experiments to gear.. and seeing you out trying it is simply awesome
Thank you brother!
Great video! I like Your kit - nothing superfluous! However I'm sure spare socks are absolutely necessary.
Haha yes, I probably should of raided my sock drawer. Thanks brother! 👍
Nice load out video Scout. Ya I think everyone likes those. And in cadpat. Wooo. Thank you for the vid bro. Have a great week. Cheers 🍻

The med kit isn’t waterproof, but the med supplies are sealed. So it should be ok…I hope
Thanks brother!
