Looking at the shoulder spikes, position of the fins on his knees, and how the cockpit moves, I think the screen model was actually based on the Warrior class design rather than the DX. I'd also say that the two-piece cannon and slightly less hollowness is the only thing the DX has over it, with the WR being better in the arms and robot mode in general.
I dig the 1980s-esque intro music! This figure looks good. I passed on it because I recently spent a lot of money on Rise of the Beasts and other Transformers figures.
Something strange has happened. Now there are two Earthspark Megatrons.
In all seriousness, I can't decide which figure I like more, the deluxe or the Warrior. Each has their own pros and cons, though in my opinion both are too small to be Megatron. I reckon Cyberverse's Ultra Class would have been a nice fit if it were carried over.

If they had combined parts of the voyager and deluxe together like the shoulder spikes, arm propellers folding mechanics, and chest cockpit flipping mechanics, Megatron could have been the best deluxe because he would be more accurate, have posable rotors, and just less kibble. Maybe someday a third party can figure it out.
They should have only made one of these and just put whatever pennies that was put into the 2nd into the first
How is the warrior class so much better than the deluxe class? And it’s cheaper. Good thing I held off on the deluxe figure

The warrior class optimus prime is a good substitute for the deluxe optimus prime in my collection next to my deluxe megatron. BTW, the rotb voyager class optimus prime gun works well with the warrior class optimus prime.
