- The entire Paddington to Reading run, in mid December 1990, on the 12::00 Paddington - Swansea (43021 at the rear). Look out for things that have changed since such as: no Heathrow link line - so no overhead lines and no Stockley flyover, between Hayes & Harlington and West Drayton. Westbourne Park mainline station - it closed in 1992 (under the Westway flyover, after Royal Oak underground). Class 47's (including 47 715 "Haymarket") and old DMU's on Network SouthEast runs and one Class 47 with Mk2 stock on an Inter-City, near Maidenhead. A40(M) motorway - Westway - it has since been downgraded and lost the '(M)'.

I worked at Paddington station between 1988 and 1995. I remember how I used to think the departure board was really high tech. Another memory about something I had forgotten, seeing the departure board with the Hayes service via South Greenford.

Hi mate. I was using a shoulder-mounted VHS camera. I've since transferred the film onto digital imagery files (wmv).
It was quite funny actually as a lot of people thought it was a TV camera and started waving at it - until they saw that it was a 17-year-old (as I was at the time) behind the camera !

Something doesnt add up bout the "1153 Hayes" it says "Calling at South Greenford change for Greenford, Castle Bar Park, Drayton Green, Hanwell, Southall and Hayes so this means it ran non stop to South Greenford then reversed?! surely an error?
This was before the days of digital recording and smart phones with hd video, how on earth did you film these!
