During the pandemic Disneyland Paris changed all the all-you-can eat buffets into "Plates to share" and "Table Served dishes".
After more than one year the all-you-can eat buffets are back in the parks and in the hotel restaurants.
We visited Plaza Gardens Restaurant to see what's new, and to welcome back the buffets. :-)

I really prefer this concept of the self-serve all-you-can eat buffet for Disney family dining to the "big plate sharing" available in the US parks, which I don't think are as good value or as varied, and everyone has to have the same.
True! During the pandemic Disneyland Paris also used the “Plates to Share” concept in the buffetrestaurants, which was indeed a big disappointment

I think they are back to stay as you can have them also on NYE 😉.. Plaza Gardens is really one of my fav’s because you don’t have to leave to park.. Don’t forget to make a reservation a few weeks before you go.. It’s always full and you can’t get in without a reservation. Reservation is possible in the Disneyland Paris App.

Thanks for the advice, I will be on the app as soon as dates open up for when we are going and making reservations at a few places in advance as I know they can get very busy. The Hunters grill is supposed to be a very good one I’ve seen so that’s another we will try. We Look forward to your next food review and hope your having a wonderful time in DLP 👍🏻

I hope you don't mind if I ask: Was everything warm/hot when you ate there? We had Character Dining there in june and especially the chicken and veal was cold, really cold. Althought they cut the veal in front of me and I was back at the table very quick. Hope it was just a bad day as I wish to come back with my mum (a first timer) in november.
Hey Malakina! Thanks for watching my video! When I visited Plaza Garden (lunch) everything was warm and the cooking was perfect (chicken, salmon and veal). Despite this gppd experience, there’s also a bad one, and guess, that was during the character dining.. it was extremely crowded and some dishes were cold.. so probably this problem only occurs when it is extremely crowded and at dinner time.. I normally do character dining again end of august.. don’t hesitate to ask me again! And if you want, feel free to subscribe
We're going next year with a group of young children, some of which are picky eaters. Does Plaza Gardens at least also offer fries (frites), just in case they won't go for any of the more fancy buffet-options?
Hi Erik! There are no fries on the buffet, but they have Mickey Shaped Crunchy potatoes which is a very good alternative.. you can compare it with croquettes.. and it’s Mickey Shaped witch will make it tast better 😉
Hi, do you know when Plaza Gardens have characters back? Or when they'll start doing breakfast again?
At this time there still is no official timeframe given nu Disneyland Paris concerning Character Dining/breakfasts.
There’s a a rumour saying march, but that’s not confirmed and probably depending on the covid situation at that time
Going at the end of March / start of April and Disney have said no characters in the restaurants yet.
When they do come back book an early one.
When we went before we had a 9.am and most of the characters had been and gone
We've managed to book character dining dinner for this August.
Is the buffet formula back in all restaurants?
Yes! Every resto that has a buffet before covid (hotel or park) is offering all-you-can eat again
