      ***** Based on the movie screenshots shown this week with the villain in front of an ancient egyptian tablet, I'd say he uses that to bring Atem back. I just hope the movie is no less than 2 hours long considering this may be the final time we see the original characters. I also hope Yugi is on a real date with Anzu at the beginning of the movie or at least they plan one. lol

    Used to duel with my brother and childhood friends when I was a kid. It was my thing and I would spend hours and hours just to create the best deck. However as time grows by my brother left the house for college and my friends slowly quit the game. I was the one who was left over in the duel game but would still watch the anime while playing against myself, just to relive the memories. Time flies by now that I have quit the game and living alone at overseas as an adult. Like Atem, maybe we just have to put something behind and keep moving forward.

    It doesn't get any easier knowing he's gone. Bought my first starter deck when I was like 3, the Joey Wheeler one because I loved the Red-Eyes. Mr. Takahashi was a legend for his work. I hope he rests in glory, not just peace.

  • @JustSomeMexicanwithaMustache

    My Dad passed away in April of 2015, he was a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh. He introduced me to everything that I'm into now, but one thing I just couldn't get into was Yu-Gi-Oh. Maybe it was because I was too young to understand how the game works, or that I didn't have any interest to play the game. Some stuff happens and he couldn't collect Yu-Gi-Oh for a bit, but he had plans to play/collect the game again. He bought me and my sister a starter deck and promised to teach us how to play the game, but he never got around to teaching us.
    Sometime later, I saw a trailer for Jump Force that reveal that Yugi was in the game. I was surprised that Yu-Gi-Oh was an anime, and that it took me this long to realize that (especially since I was into anime). This kinda sparked an interest in me and my sister to learn how to play the game, and even watch the anime. It felt nice to be able to finally enjoy this series that our Dad loved, just wished we could play with him now.
    Now that Kazuki Takahashi has passed, it just reminds me how short life is. I wished I could tell him how thankful I am for creating this series, and for creating many happy memories for everyone that enjoyed his series in their life. Hopefully, every fan that has passed can now thank him for creating this beautiful series.

It's crazy how one well developed fictional character can have such an effect on us when something happens to them.... as kids we related or admired him, like a TV Pop-Star, seeing him go hurt, because emotional attachments do not know the bounds of fiction and reality....

    Rest In Peace, Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! Thank you for giving us a cool franchise since the 2000s during my childhood era I wish I met you in person at New York Comic-Con, but I'll never get the chance now. You were an amazing artist and storyteller, there was no one before or after who was known as the King of Games, A story about Life, Friendship, Adventures, Chances, and games covert it all into a story that was memorable even through adulthood. It's really hard to see you gone but you'll never be forgotten, enjoy the Afterlife with Atem and always believe in the Heart Of The Cards, like they said "It's Your Move" one Last Final Time

    Atem was the best Yu-gi-oh Protagonist in my opinion. Plus that guy was brutal lol. Though seeing his development throughout the story made that final scene so hard to watch. It's like leaving behind family that actually cares about ya,or something along those lines. The series will never be the same. Yusei is my second favorite protagonist of the series,the rest were horrible in my opinion. Well GX was okay,but Zexal was horrible.

    • @edgevalmond6173
      @edgevalmond6173 Před 7 lety +6

      Yeah I already figured that out. Season 0 made him much more brutal. Hell guy was a psychopath. Though he acted as Anubis to weigh their sins and deliver a punishment in accordance. If they were honest, the punishment would be less severe, if they were not honest, the punishment was death or some times another way to punishment even worse. One instance he took away some guy's luck, let him live out his life in misery for abusing his gift. That teacher, took away her beauty for using it to deceive others to get her away and abuse her power standing. So he's punishing them one way or another. Some times Death isn't the best option for them to learns some times it was living a cursed life. Though I still like 4kids version. Though they did a bad job of covering up how truly dark the game is. I just wish they'd continue Season 0 then leading up to Atem's farewell would have been very impactful.

    The ending hits a bit different now that the creator is gone. He made everything for us to always cherish since childhood like the cards and the dub anime so that we wouldn't be left out. The Manga was for more of an older teen/adult as well as a bit of the sub anime. If it weren't for him we wouldn't have had such an amazing masterpiece with a perfect sad/happy ending. Atem wasn't really "leaving" in a way. He'd always stay with them in their hearts even if he's in the afterlife. I think the creator was also trying to tell us that the true moral of friendship! No matter how far they are, no matter how much it hurts, you'll always remain friends! The message really stook out to me because I moved away from my childhood friends when I was a teen. I had dropped the show for years even though I only finished two seasons. My friends weren't onto Yu-Gi-Oh. I dropped it because a certain friend of mine showed it to me and we bonded over it. I even stopped collecting the cards. (Even though I didn't have very many) It's been years, but over time only three of us found each other on social media. We never talk much anymore like we used to. Thier busy in their own lives now as adults. And here I am, about to turn 20 in spring, still the same, a huge Otaku, and still loving Yu-Gi-Oh because a part of it never left. Ever since the creator died I've gotten back into Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm almost done with the original juggling with video games and all nighters. I almost cry every time I watch the ending on CZcams.
