    Do you feel like your beard stopped growing/getting longer? Let's discuss...

      What gave me peace is that I've looked at James Harden he has been growing out that bad boy for years.... it's very thick and dense but when you look at it from the side it's not long because it's coiled up..... that's why I'm saying a black man's beard is very underestimated..... i believe it always grows just difficult to see.....

    • @lumpvision5746
      @lumpvision5746  Před rokem

      @blainkenny3851 of course, I know about the curls and coils. I know that my beard is longer than it appears, but it stays that same length, lol. I'm not really upset about it or anything. This video is more about answering the question. If a dude comes to me and says that his beard has been the same length for 3 years, I can no longer tell him to wait it out. Maybe his beard did reach terminal length. It sucks because who can actually answer this question? Is there some sort of doctor or specialist? It just seems like it's a big mystery...

      @blainkenny3851 I ain't mad at that. Don't let me stop you from your own brainwashing 😂. You did make an excellent point overall. I know that maintenance is extremely important, but how much do we really NEED to do? I've used a ton of stuff to see how it works and presented it to everyone. I've come to realize that I, me, don't NEED a ton of products to grow a healthy beard. Someone else might NEED it, but I don't. That's why I keep it simple these days.

      My beard has been the exact same size for 6 years. I don’t cut it or shape it up, I never put any type of clippers to it. Same exact size. Never goes past the length it is. I cut it in 2017 and it grew back to the same exact length it was before I cut it and it never gets longer. Haven’t put any clippers or scissors to it other than to shape up the mustache area.

    Some things to consider about hair and nail growth.. Nutrition or the lack there of has an impact and also medications you take can effect growth as well. A few years back I started taking blood thinners and my hair and nails grow like crazy it's like miracle grow lol.. So scrutinize your diet, nutrition and supplements.. Good luck beard brothers!!

    • @lumpvision5746
      @lumpvision5746  Před rokem

      I partially agree with nutrition being a possible factor. What do you say about the dude who is 5'10", 280lbs with a massive beard and a full head of hair? What do you say about LeBron James being one of the best conditioned athletes out there having a decent beard but not a beast of a beard and going bald? I'm not trying to sound condescending, I'm truly want to hear your thoughts.

      @@lumpvision5746 all valid points Lump not saying that it's the only or main factor involving beard growth or health just a thought to consider. It's like going to a muscle building expert who says did you try supplements. Some people respond amazingly other have no effect at all. So maybe a daily vitamin or more healthy fats in a diet might give you a beard bump, maybe not. One has to determine if it's for them to try. The prescription medicine is a whole other factor because those side effects can be clearly determined by cycling on and off meds for a period of time.. Love ya my friend!!

    Terminal length is a real thing. However, my terminal length ended up being a lot longer than what I originally thought several times. My beard is dense at the bottom and filled in near my mouth like yours. The type 4 coil pattern varies on different parts of my face, but not as drastically as yours. Under my chin is basically the same 4A/4B as the front. But my beard stops right at the Adam's Apple. I used to think that I didn't have sideburns until I stopped shaving the sparse hairs there. My sideburns never get any longer than two inches at the top to six inches going down. I thought at first that the terminal length of the main, lower part of my beard was 7 or nine inches. Then I learned how to comb and brush much more gently and stopped using a hair dryer and it grew to eleven. Then I learned how to safely do two strand twists or braids and rely on finger detangling more, and it grew to thirteen. Because of the Covid pandemic, I figured out how to put my beard away so that I could wear those masks. I made one loose braid that I wore tucked under my chin without clips or bands and also wear this at night on satin pillowcases, and it is now 17 to 18 inches. This was over a ten year period with me lightly trimming just the ends at the bottom, trimming the stache so that I can eat, and then creating a deliberate fade at the top where the sideburns meet the hairline. The tucked away look keeps my beard safe from wear and tear, and I only fully unleash it maybe once or twice a week.

      @@lumpvision5746Believe it or not, maintaining it very long and elongated is actually easier than maintaining a nice neat looking afro beard. If your girl has natural afro hair, it is just a modified/simplified version of what she would do.

    Toward the end of last year it seemed like mine had stopped getting longer. For a while in fact it stayed around the same length. After that I stopped paying attention to it, throw some oil in sticking to my routine. After a few months I noticed it had gotten longer, maybe around an inch to an inch and a half. But thinly thing I did any different was cleaned up my diet and went crazy with hydration. Each person might have different points where their beard slows down for a bit then starts going again. But I don’t really know for sure, that’s just my experience.
