The guitar player is grammy award winner HER aka H.E.R, she also features in Usher’s new album. You need dive into HER music, she’s incredibly talented, has an amazing voice, and a skillful musician too. She’s also such a humble and intelligent young woman too.

FACTS
Yes, that was the band from a Black College , Jackson State in Mississippi. They did a tribute to all Usher's songs during their 2023 season.
You were definitely feeling the vibes when you said he was getting into some Prince vibes. HER is Prince’s prodigy. They rocked the purple lights in salute to him as well. The glove was for MJ and the lite asile for the stage was a salute to Beyonce. Usher started the show appreciating Las Vegas , showcasing all the street talent and show vibes. He then took us to the “A” Atlanta!! On the way he gave tribute to our African American culture, HBCUs!!! Divine 9 Greek Organizations, Marching Bands….soo much!!! He had the club scene with the strippers, the skating rink, and he even gave the church testimony giving God some praise! He blessed our brothers and sisters around the world with that Afro-dance move and made us all feel soo proud in like 12 mins.

The camera Man/Woman needed to show the full whole production every angle highlight on the back flips splits holding upside position pose roller skating cool move didn't do a good job showing the Jackson State University Band SONIC BOOM They were DANCING & PLAYING there INSTRUMENT from beginning to end nor did we see the Vegas dancer acrobats ect all the special dance movements Then the band spell out his name too It was AWESOME THE SONG DANCE SPECIAL GUESTS HE GAVE EVERYTHING TO ME ❤❤❤❤IT
Jackson State University's Sonic Boom of The South is the marching band accompanying him!!! They are known for having great halftime performances, musicality, and dancing!!! They have performed many regular halftime games for NFL teams...and played for President Biden's inauguration. They will play next for Allstate's HBCU Legacy Bowl halftime 2/24/24. They also will play in Tournament of Roses Parade in 2025.
Check out their Nov'23 ESPN HBCU Battle Of The Band competition in which they performed an all-Usher show. They had found out in November that Usher/NFL wanted them to play at the Superbowl. Jermaine Dupri & Dallas Austin had been in the audience taping.
From what I have found out the artist on the guitar is none other than H.E.R❕❗

Great show as usual. Usher was in great form. Alicia absolutely gorgeous, unfortunately her first note was shocking bad. However, many singers face challenges when singing live. Nice set design and choreography. loved her

How do y'all not know H.E.R. Anyway, glad to see you reacting right away bc USHER THA RAYMOND ate. The 2 plus year residency in Vegas is the number 1 selling residency in Vegas which ended in Dec 2023 & this is the end result with this concert for the Superbowl. Usher is USHER & nobody but MJ will top him. We loved all the MJ nods with the screams, the choreo, the glove on one hand etc. It's USHER BABY & the audience was so lit singing, vibing❤🔥

I don't understand why half time show are free performances and singers ,rapper does not get paid even 1 penny. They work hard to show case their performance
It’s free advertising for them to over 160 million viewers. It’s one of the few platforms that allows you to reach so many people. Most of the else artists have tours planned around this performance to boost their ticket and merch sales.
Yeah it’s the biggest promotion ever and you’re on their platform, they don’t need the artist so they shouldn’t pay artists but the NFL does pay for everything they need for the performance so the artist and everyone aren’t coming outta pocket for anything. So it’s a fair trade off honestly

I am a concert video camera man and I did a visual breakdown of this performance but as I try to uploaded I keep getting blocked. Any advice? I am happy to give the video to you. it is great inspiration for artist and amateur camera operators. I have never done a reaction video.
Its definitely a struggle. This video itself was blocked I just had to trim it down to the level that it could be posted. There are many ways it can be done. I recommend watching CZcams videos on how to deal with this.
