Nathan - Good morning. Glad to see Wood-Mizer finally recognized the value in your quality videos for advertising as noted at 04:43. Did they give you the wall banner or did you buy it? Anyway, congrats on the new mill. I'm looking forward to more instructive videos in the future. Stay safe in TN.

WOW, I need one of those beer coolers on my tractor!
Rumor has it, there will be a cooler and cooler attachment coming soon for that system!
The first video you made with this thing I was like “Dang that thing is wicked fast”
Its a monster for sure..!
Hey buddy appreciate you
Nice to see you putting a lunchbox on the tractor that's what the farmer call them here in Ireland
You don't own a cat - it owns you!😃
Glad that you are back on regularly, my coffee was getting cold.
Getting the 20 year old walnut boards out of the barn. Well dried. Hoping to find your product at Lumber and Craft soon👍 thanks
The tuff part with cats is figuring out the difference between trust and indifference.
Now that’s a handy machine!
Congrats on your new mechanical assistant …
Fun times ahead.
ty
Your like a kid in the toy store, love it!!
@3:50 - nice, a mail box for the tractor
I finally did it I had a lt50 ordered and today I changed it to a lt70 just like yours I can’t wait to get it I’ve had my order put n back n November of last year and it’s still a good wait but I know it will be worth it thank you for all your videos I’ve been with u all the way back when u had the 35 thank you for your time and hard work
If you were closer to Texas I would come clean out your cutoff pile...I see lots of bee hives with all that material! :)
First, congrats on the impressive machine. The 70 is quite the investment and I am curious about the business side of your mill. I believe you a full time sawyer and if true, would you mind speaking sometime regarding your clientele, how much board feet you sell, and things of that nature please?
Wow. That's fast even at idle. Enjoy your new toy Nathan!!!
congrats on your new Cat !!!!!
Thanks
Thanks for sharing with us Nathan, that is an awesome machine. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
Hey, that's a nice tool box. I hope it doubles as a cooler for those hot days in the South. Great video again, thanks for sharing.
I was thinking that too SAM, hoping it has a little drain hole in the bottom for melting ice.
I read they will be releasing a cooler and attachment to hook to that same mount, as well as a bunch of other accessories
Thank you for sharing
Like a kid with a new toy. Looks as if you made things a lot easier on yourself. Hydraulics is a wonderful thing.
Good looking mill and who can't use more power.
Take care.
Awesome new saw!
Boy, you weren't kidding about the hydrolic's speed! Looked like you were fast forwarding. Glad to see your efforts are paying off. Keep up the good work!
I'm so happy for you Nathan!!! Great saw!!!
Congradulations on the new cat. Best grads on your new sawmill. I came in from a full day of work, and got to wind down enjoying your video. Good way to end the day….your video and a good coffee. Thanks for another good one…..enjoy the time!
Thanks for watching
Thanks for the run through
No problem 👍
Thank you for tour of the new mill. Impressive machine!
Looking Great
What WoodMiser needs to do on the hydros is put a pressure regulator so that when the engine is at high RPMs the hydros perform like it is at idle so that their actions are constant. Much easier to control.
Good point!
I was wondering if they normally have one and it didn't get installed on this machine.
@@bushmaster2936 that would be a good question to ask and if they don't they should install it so that the hydro's that handle the wood (lifting arms, log flipper, etc) all move at a predictable pace. the traverse speed of the saw should always be variable but you should have a dial you can set with a digital readout to show inches per second/minute) - like having cruise control. you can set it and it feeds at a constant speed but you have manual override to either slow it down /stop or speed it up a bit. This could be an option you turn on / off if needed
Congratulations on the new machine!
Thanks
Congratulations on upgrading to Your new 70!
I don't have a sawmill, nor have I ever run one, but even a layman, like me, can see that this is a superior machine! Nice one! May it always run smoothly and safely for you.
Was so used to the other saw. This will take getting used to.
We occasionally got new tomcats on the farm.
If they were tough enough they took over.
Wimpy was my favorite.
The name we gave him was deceiving.
Thanks Nathan.
Awesome stuff
What a great machine.
Cool, what a mill!!!
Thanks for watching
Good to see the master back at work.... :DDD
Nice ‘lunch box’ addition on the tractor. Love the new 70, slicker than cow pies!
Thanks for the lowdown on the LT 40. A truly remarkable machine.
what a beast looks amazing
WOW....Super fast.....Glad you showed us the specs of the LT70 and the 55HP engine cause l was wondering about that....Thanks Nathan....!
Another great video I’m loving all the attachments you’re finding for the Swiss Army Tractor! 🤣. The sawmill is fantastic and I can’t wait for it to saw some Walnut slabs. Thanks Nathan. 👍🏻
Thanks buddy
Very clever editing Nathan!
Did think the Cat is Siamese... Believe it's a Himalayan.... Him a layin on yore porch was a dead giveaway.... 🙄🤣
Great videos & content... Really enjoy watchin em...👍
Impressive machine.
😮 holy smokes!! I’m so jealous of the LT-70.. I guess your all set unless woodmizer comes out with an all new LT-80.
I like your new sawmill!
ty
Nice mill!
Thanks 👍
That's a nice fast mill!
And Welcome to Pimp My Tractor, My Grandfather and Uncles all had John Deere Tractor, none of them were ever that clean.
Definitely a noticeable improvement in performance and sound.
Good morning from Nova Scotia.
I can't help I started the ( WIND CHIME phrase-OLOGY_) but I am sure proud it stuck with the LT70 MACHINE too... Sure hope the sounds of the 100,000 CZcams Congratulations gift CHIMES please you and the family. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing journey, so proud that I can be a Patreon member.
Take your time The Sawmill will run fast stay cool
What a beautiful beast that mill is. They just keep getting more and more hands off don’t they?
That's sure is an impressive machine
It’s a beaut Clark! 😎
The only issue I see I noticed on the first video you posted with the LT-70 is that log turner tearing up the wood. That thing looks like a chainsaw running. I know it won’t make much difference on the full log with the bark still on but once you get into the actual lumber it may cost you a board or two. Definitely want to have the engine idled down to limit the damage. Enjoy your new toy Nathan.
If the hydraulic fluid & engine (crankcase) oil are NOT FULL synthetic, and you intend long term ownership, that change is suggested. This is especially beneficial w/ COLD start-up to reduce wear. A cold start-up still produces engine wear @ above freezing temps. On still days when air movement is minimal, consider a carbon monoxide detector @ 6 ft AFF. If that engine has a DPF, be sure that area is always clear of any combustible material during regeneration.
I'm holding out for the sawdust upgrade!
I switched to 1.5 wide blades on my LT35... Night and day difference. I upgraded to a 37 hp gas engine and also widened it to a 35" cut. I wish I would have gone to the 1.5 wide blades a LONG time ago!!
I got family that lives I. Oh Kingsport! Good country! My dad is from rogerville Tennessee not that far out of Kingsport still have a bunch of family that lives out that way
I'd bet if you asked, they have an attachment to make coffee and produce a grilled cheese sandwich as well. Great looking machine Nathan. I'm looking forward to seeing you start processing some of those larger logs we see as you move from place to place on your tractor.
Premiere is the way to go
Premier Pro can have a bit of a steep learning curve but it’s a great piece of software to use. It’s what we use at work for our medical videos
Man that’s stupid fast. Bidirectional log turned probably a game changer too from the 40
-Ben
Really enjoyed this video and others. I hope to get a mill one day any suggestions or milling lessons?
Well now isn't that something. Pretty sweet. Your new addition to your cat collection looks just like my cat Reggie aka Booger. We were told he was part frosty forest Siberian and part siamese. Handsome fella.
That my man is a Snowshoe cat, very loving.
holy moly!
That mill is a ripper and the log turner would make life a lot easier . That mill is a good move .
If you use less of the chimes, then modify the spacers to include a thumb/wing nut set screw drilled and tapped into each spacer it will be so much faster to move the wind chimes for better guide control when pushing back the lumber. You really only need 2 wind chimes and 4 spacers. Once you have the wood cut to a nominal size, you can just reach over and move a wind chime to either side leaving like an 1/8" and lock them down without having to split down the shaft and moving chimes & spacers.
hi there real nice you will do it good and it will do you good / john
Thanks buddy
Way cool Nathan! I was hoping to get a little information on the laser feature which allows you to visualize your first cut. Sounds like your enjoying the Devil out of your new machine! Great video Nathan, thumbs up.
Does the diesel fuel for the blade ,get your slabs smelling like fuel , just curious.
Yes, Siamese!
I just got a LT 70 after almost 2 years. I was told, do not use any other oil in the hydraulic reservoir other than their specific fluid. They claimed someone blew a line and put in some other hydraulic fluid and destroyed a bunch of components. I guess their fluid is very very expensive. Also as of right now they are having a program issue they are trying to sort out where the head wants to drop 4” instead of 1”. I saw this first hand. This is due to having to find a new manufacturer for the set works display because the old builder stopped doing it. They probably won’t be happy with me letting this out being they tried to hide it from me but being it happened while picking it up they no longer could hide it. I know they will sort it out but you have to tell the customer that this is an issue ahead of time and not find it out late. It is an awesome machine regardless.
With the speed of that machine, I'm sure that you will get through the back log of work soon enough.
You need an employee to maximize the LT70. I hired a guy with that mill and we couldn't keep up with pulling boards off the mill. He wasn't kidding when he told me we wouldn't be able to sticker as we went.
We haven’t seen Momma cat for a while. 🇬🇧
I thought i saw Momma Cat about halfway through the video, just walking through the shot.
So did I
Wow. You're going to be cutting so efficiently you'll need to build another kiln!
I went to their website when you hauled the old one away. it was a bit surprising the cost difference of these various machines and how little the cutting width changed. Seems almost like they are restricted by traffic lane width rather than mechanical ability.
Saddle bags on the tractor. That looked like a seal point Siamese cat.
Have you considered using a flexable exhaust hose system to vent fumes out the roof and reduce the sound slightly?
I'm guessing young Bruno is happy with the acquisition of a new cat and a Siamese which are meant to be very friendly cats
Well first I thought that you were putting in a coffee maker and app for your phone to control it: so disappointed...🤔 Next, your sawmill has more horses than my SUV: go figure friends. 😉 That pop-up thing in the middle looks like Alien at feeding time. Amazing!!!
Question: What do you do with all the boards with a lot of bark on them? Just cut the bark ends off?
Man o man . I love the speed of those hydraulics. I run a basic 40 and sure it does the job but flipping and rolling the log can be painfully slow .
Agreed
Hey Nathan
Hey old buddy
Have you ever considered collecting the sawdust for fireplace logs? Also, when you shift the logs I noticed you scar up the lumber. Does that effect the value?
Watch it, you could put an eye out with the speed on that machine.
Yes sir
If you speak Siamese to the new cat and it listens. Then it's probably Siamese. Just kidding!
That cat is a snowshoe Siamese. They are a mix of Siamese and a domestic breed I forget the name of. They are very different cats. They tend to bond with one person and a family. They are loyal like a dog. They can learn verbal commands
Impressive... :-)
I noticed in a previous video with the new LT70 that when you were turning a log, it got chewed up quite a bit. Is there a better way to control the grab of the turner so that it doesn't do quite as much damage to the wood?
I thought that was your lunchbox :)
you would think on something that size and HP they would make the hydro's with a flow control so you could slow or speed up the hydros.
Can you turn the log either direction?
Premiere Pro is what I use on my channel. Once you get in the groove, you're going to love it.
Thanks 👍👍
How can you keep the chain lift from maring the slab when turning the log have a day love from TEXAS
That hydraulic cooler or radiator is also called a “Heat Exchanger”.
