It's iced. lattes aren't usually served warm. if you wanted it warm you could heat up the milk for a tiny bit in the microwave. don't boil though, and dw, milk doesn't taste bad warmed up! hope this helps!!

If you guys are gonna make this, I highly recommend using the traditional ceremonial matcha in which you use a bamboo whisk to break up the matcha in water. I've been experimenting with matcha and I find that ceremonial matcha is a lot more rich and bright than the standard culinary one. It will definitely make the matcha latte very vibrant and taste better 👍🏼

I just made an iced matcha latte, and it was really strong. Your video was the first to pop up when I searched on how to make it like Starbucks! I put way too much matcha hehehe. I diluted it with more coconut cream and coconut milk, so luckily I now get two glasses of it! It's so yummy and you're right - 95% like Starbucks. I made mine keto, so it's sugar-free. I like the Starbucks green tea Frappuccino with no classic syrup and soy milk. Most recently discovered Jamba Juice makes a really good version called Matcha Green tea blast. I believe it has soy milk, non dairy non fat yogurt and Matcha green tea powder. It comes in a thick smoothie texture. 😊

The Jamba Juice one uses Matcha, Vanilla Soy Milk (likely sweetened), NON FAT FROZEN YOGURT (it IS dairy!!!!!), and ice. It is literally a Matcha milkshake.

I use Splenda sugar instead of brown sugar and it was fine. But the vanilla extract definitely helps with the bitterness from the matcha. Also, they sell bags of matcha green tea on Amazon for around $10. Definitely worth buying your own ingredients.

As far as copying Starbucks way, What's with the brown sugar, vanilla and other stuff? Just was at Starbucks 2 mins ago and watched the girl make it and talked to her while she was doing it. She Filled the venti cup to about 75% full (top line) with plain 2% milk, poured it into a metal shaker, added 3 tea spoons of matcha powder and shook like crazy by hand, poured in the cup with ice....not a single clump or any weird extra ingredients. Freaking delicious. Majority of the Starbucks use a different way to mix it that's why it's always all clumpy and stuck to the cup. But she did it by hand in the martini style shaker and it was creamy and smooth.

i just made my drink according to this and it tastes so good! i shook it in my protein drink blender and the milk got really foamy so i got a matcha latte with matcha foam! used 2% skim milk also. Thanks! its not sweet at all though so really intended for someone who likes the matcha pure taste. edit: 1 cup milk and 2 teaspoons matcha powder.

You have to wisk(fork or actual wisk) the matcha powder with a little water to form a thick paste and then add the rest of the liquid to make the actual drink, matcha thickens as you do that to get the creamy consistency

What kind of matcha does starbucks use? I own two kind of matcha, but in tastes strabucks not compare to my matcha latte, Starbucks wins. So maybe it is just that I didn’t have right matcha?

I love getting this drink from Starbucks and making it at home! I have to order it with extra syrup though, vanilla flavored too. I know the extra sugar isn't good for you but, oh well, LOL

is it safe to make a matcha latte then pour it into an ice cube tray to freeze, then use those ice cubes for another matcha latte as to not water it down?

I always get Bryers all natural vanilla ice cream and take matcha powder and mix in it and make matcha milk shakes. I'm addicted to that stuff. I didn't even know Starbuck's sold those I go to Dunkin donuts. But thanks cause looks good Im going to have to try it out.
