  • Since CZcams tag some of my video as “copywriter” I have to redo them over and over again until is acceptable by them.
So I decided to buy an AM Transmitter kit and put it together so can connect to the internet and play old music that is NOT a Copywriter.
Is this doable? I have no idea but we can try, have nothing to lose by trying “Right” ?
Darn! No schematic, here we go again! LOL
No more CZcams Copywriter on my videos. LOL

JZ, I have learned so much form you. You explain things so clear and effective that the new person without electronic background can understand and not get overwhelmed. I watched other CZcams channels and was so confused since their presentation is focused on individual with electronic background. Thank you so much for taking your valuable time making these videos.

You can also tack the wire to the pcb pad for the center connector. Not sure about this one but transmitters can be damaged by transmitting without an antenna.

Just a long wire antenna, say 15 feet long should provide a good load to the transmitter, BNC indicates 50 OHm, but who knows.. Just a long piece of wire should do the trick..

Added about 15 feet long wire for antenna and now it broadcast about 20 to 30 feet but would like if is possible to broadcast it to entire house. Is it possible to upgrade this unit so I can control how far it can broadcast? Not adding more antenna but upgrading the parts. What do you think? Thanks

When buying stuff from foreign lands on the web it helps to have Windows to translate the page to English! You must also convert the prices in Thai Bhat to US dollar. 1 US dollar is .029 THB . I found the link to get three pages to get a copy of
the parts list and schematic. One warns of the limitation of transmitting freqencies to only 1500-1600 KHz. At a mere 50mW power you must put it close to the receiver. Stick a solid piece of 18 gauge wire in the center of the BNC connector
(output where antenna goes). It can be up to 9 feet long. That mouse is going to have huge biceps!

@@RadioFixer The power of the transmitter is limited by the supply voltage and the components used in it.
It is possible if it had a better gain control like the one in my Whole House AM transmitter which tunes a wider amount of frequencies thanks to a special tuner common in old car radios. With an antenna14 feet
long it can transmit 1/2 block but don't tell the FCC on me! I can plug in the input from my Sirius/XM
radio output into it and retransmit it to the Whole House AM transmitter that goes out on any radio station less AM frequency available. I tune my Sirius radio to the Radio Classics channel and it goes out to any
AM only tube radio I have working. I will one day get a large wood cabinet Motorola tube set to work and
I would love hearing Fibber McGee and Molly coming out of it.

Reminds me of when I got in trouble with the FCC! So back in 1965, still in high school, I took a Heathkit 160 Meter 100 watt ham radio transmitter. Then I purchased a 1200 KHz crystal and tweaked the transmitter to broadcast 100 Watts on the AM broadcast band. In upstate New York, , it seems like the local radio station would only play Italian and Polish music Friday night, but the kids in high school wanted rock and roll...
So I basically started an ILLEGAL AM radio station and was on the air for over 8 months, just let my Reel To Reel tape deck play lots of songs.
Then the local radio station, with a Lot OF Loss listeners turned me in to the FCC. They did not like the competition!!
The FCC showed up and they were both Ham Operators and understood what I did and why.. They laughed it off, but told me to give them the 1200 Crystal and dont do it again!!!
That was my kickoff into electronics and radios!!
OH, the Good Old Days when the FCC was not politicized!! 🙂Robert
2 Years later I got my LEGAL Ham Radio license and only followed the rules, did not want to loose my license... 🙂
I know folks who look for these AM transmitters that are Solid State and put out 60-80 Watts... Geeeeeeeee, I wonder what they are doing with those??? LOL

@@RadioFixer BTW, I never thought about playing old music!! Clever Idea for sure!! When I sell a radio or FM-AM tuner, on eBay I always add a video showing that the radio is working. Sometimes I stop on a local FM station to demonstrate tone quality, but doing that will alert CZcams to the music being played, and then I get that NASTY email telling me I am in copyright violation..
I learned that if I dont stay on the station for more then 10 seconds, it escapes their tool they are WATCHING US WITH!!! 😞
Also, being near Mexico, if I do stop on a FM channel, I usually tune in a Mexican music station! That seems to make CZcams happy!! 🙂

Good old days I miss in my life. I designed a 50 mW power short wave transmitter for AM. I used 50 yards of wire piece as antenna. Soon, frequency allocation board (FAB) guys showed up because I was at 7.2 MHz which in region 1 'n' 2 is 40 meters ham band. I also happened to interfere with my scruffy neighbour's SWL who actually reported me. He didn't like me playing songs from 1980s and all. FAB guys confiscated the transmitter. Alas!
