Agriculture ministry approves construction of a second Erongo desalination plant

The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform (MAWLR), Carl Schlettwein, has announced the government's approval of the construction of a second desalination plant with a capacity of 20 million cubic meters, in the Erongo region.
According to Schlettwein, the approval comes after the first desalination plant known as the Orano Desalination plant reached its peak of sustainable water supply to the mining and socio-economic activities in the region.
