Ashley is HILARIOUS! Her observation about Rachel being the "gayest person she ever met" made me cackle. I was genuinely shocked back in the day when I found out Rachel had a boyfriend. I was like, "is my gaydar really THAT bad? How? What? HOW?" and then when she came out life made sense again lol.
This is the first time i’ve watched Ashley as a guest, and it’s given me a new appreciation for her. On her own podcast she tends to “top” the conversation, as she might describe it. She carries on bits that can be frustrating to listen to as they often interrupt/talk over guests stories and answers (no hate, i still listen), but in this episode there is a perfect balance. Everyone matches each others energy and riffs off each other well and it’s made a very enjoyable listen. I hope Emily and Rachel bring her back on!

I realized when i was 14. I was in the bathroom at school hanging out with a friend and there was a group of popular girls who were chatting it up and putting on makeup and stuff. I heard one of the girls say, “I don’t care! I will literally kiss anyone!” Her friend said, “okay then….go kiss that!” And pointed at me…. All the girls started laughing and she rolled her eyes walked straight up to me pushed me against the wall and kissed me. My eyes were wide open and i just froze! But then it was just like BAM! 🫰🏼 it was so instinctual! I grabbed her hips and turned so she was against the wall and we started to make out. She was shocked. She walked away with her friends and didn’t say a word for the rest of the day haha i looked over at my friend and her mouth was wide open just completely shocked! Aaaand then it hit me that that just happened…..and I literally did the comedic pass out face first 😂😂😂 sooo yeahh haha 😅 she continued to be the typical straight homecoming queen cheerleader with the basketball boyfriends but after college I found out she is married to a woman and has a beautiful son 🥰 they look so perfect together!! But i will never forget her….it was like the best high you could ever get! It was totally a magical moment! ❤

funny thing is I started therapy at 22 and always said I would never have a male therapist, but I tested 3 and weirdly felt most comfortable with the men because they don't know sh*t about being a woman so I felt less judged? lol luckily he's a very nice person and does know things about women so go therapist! haha

My partner hates the term sex. It has always been making love from the very first time.
Facts on the bun lol I had long hair in highschool and constantly lost my scrunchies and clips so I would ALWAYS have a pen or pencil in my hair- come to find out a lot of guys have a thing for that 😅 I also wore glasses - but full makeup - stylish for 90s lol People like teacher/secretary vibes I guess.
Ashley is 100% right that when it’s hard to fine the time, sex really is more special. As a married heterosexual woman and mother of 4 who spent a weekend in a hotel… it’s way more special now.

Oh. My. Gosh. So, I tried a one-time thing with someone who talked themselves up much the same as you mention here, and they used their teeth! !!! That is NOT fun. I was INJURED, and a bit traumatized. I recovered well enough physically, but it took me a while to come around mentally. Finally, I've been putting myself out there again. And even recently experienced another one time thing with someone else. The difference being there was a lot of details given straight away, including about the previous experience that hurt me and that I have no desire to repeat a painful experience. Things went well, and I would say it was satisfying and empowering.
I think this was my favorite podcast yet, and I love them all. Maybe it’s the Ashley thing lol. It was just so funny. Great job !!!

OKAY ASHLEY THIS IS SO WEIRD (so, this isn't about my therapist but my psychiatrist, very different for anyone who doesn't know) my post-rehab psychiatrist died very suddenly about a year and a half after i started seeing him and HIS part-student part-colleague took over for him too! her and i got really close for a rly long time before insurance forced me to switch but my og psych from that time period was an angel and i miss him. i can't imagine how much harder it was with him being your FULL blown therapist and not just your medication-oriented psychologist so i'm very sorry for ur loss and glad you still love therapy with a diff therapist. thank u for recommending therapy so hard to ur audience (and others' audiences obv!) i love u
