PBBM says opening of classes to proceed on July 29 if possible

- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the opening of classes will continue on Monday, July 29, but administrators of schools affected by the recent flooding have the discretion to decide whether or not they need more time to recover.

SOLUSYON SA BAHA:
Philippines will be building the SKY MANILA, they would put Metro Manila's 100 km x 100 km land area up by 50 meters using 500,000 posts.
There will be three levels, the ground level is the existing land, all vehicles would use the ground level,
hundreds of MRT and LRT would use the second level and therefore reducing massive amount of vehicles using the ground level and less traffic,
the third level would be vehicle less area, yes no cars, trucks, jeepneys.
SKY MANILA is walking , jogging, biking, scooting area. It will be full of skyscrapers no less than 300 meters tall, condo, hotels and offices.
Hundreds of parks, huge malls, millions of restaurants, thousands of hotels, several thousands of factories using all electric.
All vehicles will be full electric, non-electric vehicle are not allowed.
Many swimming pools, basketball, tennis, football courts, and many sports venues.
Hundreds of entertainment arenas.
It will have airport for helicopters or any vertical take off planes. This will be finished in 2035. Flood will be the thing in the past.

Sorry to break your point, but building a sky city can also leads to floods without a proper drainage system. Remember, even at the top of a very tall skyscrapers, it's rooftop top can have flood itself on the top.
For a realistic solution in the problem in my point of view as an architect is the government should coordinate with a urban planner which is under the concept of science in architecture.
A strategic plan studies the science of city plan and design no matter what geographic location it is. A city must be designed like a human circulatory system.
The heart represents the business districts
The lungs represents the green forest
The arteries represents the pipeline of transportation and sewage system.
Metro Manila's geography is like a basin, it is surrounded by mountains and sea water. A propered urban design along with the sewage system and green spaces across is the only long term for saving Manila from flooding.
In conclusion: Metro Manila needs to be designed by an architect that has a degree of Urban design and urban and regional planning.
Only UST and UP dilimian offer this masteral degree.
