Amazing series, keep the fuel economy challenges coming! :D
Parked that thing like a boss
Yet again it proves that it isn't WHAT you drive... but its HOW you drive.
not really.
Its WHERE you drive because in heavy traffic that bentley WILL get 25litres/100km minimum
@@sorinelpustiu5674That is true, but if politicians were to focus on actually elevating traffic instead of pushing electric cars, maybe that wouldn’t be an issue
@@M4X1Politics and Lobbyists just realized that there is more money in batteries and EVs can be produced cheaper. Its about the money, they want to save production costs and make more profit.
I find it wierd that there aren't more people watching ur channel, great stuff.
Thank you my friend
CZcams's algorithm doesn't promote anything which goes against the agenda.
@@Stilo95exactly.
Finally a w12 fuel economy can you do this with a touareg?
Will see if i can get one
Well it’s videos like this that every battery toy car enthusiast sitting in the government building should watch before banning diesel and petrol cars in big cities. Driving electric is cool when ur 7 and u have a remote. V6, v8, v10, v12 all day everyday 🎉🍻🤞👌
should watch, but won't care a bit about because they all have investments personally in the electric car companies and their supply chain, so the more they sell (not through superior product, but those same government stooges forcing it on everyone) the richer they get. It's not about helping the planet--one look at nickel and lithium mining tells anyone with a brain cell that much--it's about them getting rich while PRETENDING it's about saving the planet.
@@armedferretexactly. They realized they make even more money with EVs. To fulfill that and get EVs to the public, they push the climate change stuff upon people.
came for the W12 but subscribing for your personality and presentation style :)
soon u will be a head of car channels in the world insallah my brother
The key to fuel efficiency for all cars is simple. Drive it gently.
Some diesel cars become even more efficient at higher speeds.
Commenting just for engagement. Great content man.
You have my support, keep them coming, fuck Duracell
Great video, incredible. I would bet it cannot go less than 13 or 14 in the best-case scenario. Hevy supersport petrol coupe spends like 8l. That is an amazing fact, in any circumstances. For those who will say there is no traffic on the highway, it is still incredible. This car is meant for highways and cruising, not for weekly shopping around town.
BTW, Switzerland is a really nice country. Were you filming around the Bern area?
You should do the same test with some american V8 muscle. I was shocked how low consuptiom they can have, much less than european cars. I did 7.8 with a rental Camaro SS V8 6.2 a part of a trip.
Found you at tiktok, but now have to watch in CZcams also, because you have honest rewievs about cars 😅🤝☝️ i did already know that bigger engines low rpm running cars beats high rpm runnin 4 cylinders at the highway🎉i daily drive 3.0 supercharged v6 2012 model 440hp with just 7,8 litres/100km at highway. Combined is around 9,5 litres.
Inline 6 3.0 diesel gets me around 6L/100km on the highway
Awesome video! Thank you for showing that petrol cars can be powerful and economical at the same time! Always entertaining and informative!
In the '70's a citroen 2cv that weighed a quarter of the bentley and had an engine 10 times smaller did 36 mpg on a 70mph cruise. This car did essentially the same!
Please to this fuel tests with every car you test!! This is so interesting to watch!
Thanks for you Upload Cousin!
Tom Hanks in the Bentley 😂
Test it with a Ferrari 812
THATS actually a good idea 😂
türschti tankstell vo züri hahahah, super video!
hahaha, ha müesse det für de test
Great video. Cheers from Portugal 🙌🏻
I once had a car with a 1L 3 cylinder for a short time period. This smal engine used about 12 liters per 100km, because it didnt move uphill below 5000rpm.
Always said this. Torque is everything. High torque at low revs = quicker gear changes and better economy. My 2litre diesel pulls up hills easy in 5th gear when petrols are reving in 3rd gear. Its lowest fuel economy is at 2500rpm so around 80+ mph
This is crazy, how?? Super impressive
This proves that high torque beats high revs
2 noteworthy things:
-The turbos don‘t spool up sequentially. There is one per side/bank.
-There is a drop of roughly 100m between Affoltern a. Albis and Kreuzlingen. You should do the test the other way around as well, or do a roundtrip. It might not sound like much over a distance of roughly 100km, but for instance Zug-Lugano is around a 150m drop and the consumption difference is around 3-4 Liters on a Audi 4.0TFSI. Generally speaking, i believe consumption tests in switzerland can only be accurately done with roundtrips.
Also, using the exact same gas pump would make it more „scientifically accurate“, surely the car didn‘t use less than on the computer, i guess the pump in Kreuzlingen was a bit more sensitive and stopped a tad bit earlier.
Nevertheless, impressive consumption figures even downhill. I estimate the realistic average consumption around 11-12 liters with this driving style/route.
Crazily low what’s the city fuel consumption, great video subbed when you had around 11k subs now on 32k well done man
my diesel 2003 renault thalia will do below 5l/100km cruising at 130km/h on a highway with a 1.5 dci engine (I know that it's a POS compared to the Continental and it's amazing that it can keep 110km/h with 8.6l/100km but still, it helps to put it in perspective, these cars still gulp a lot of fuel)
Please, do this test with Porsche cayenne 4.5 l v8 naturally aspirated model. I just got a 2006 model 🙂
Interesting video, it is weird physics tho that even if you use like 10-15% of the power of the care it still uses 9-10l\100km
I wonder how much the fuel consumption would differ if you would test a newer Conti GT
Please can you do this with the E60 AMG which featured on your channel?
Geoff buys cars needs to see this.
Abi izlemekten zevk alıyorum, süpersin
you should do it with the audi q7 v12
Try it with a rs6 c7.5
What about city consumptions ?
Next do the 812 Superfast please
Any 4 cylinder engine will struggle to cope with having to move a car even with added turbos whereas anything over that has the power to be able to move the car without exerting much power or straining the engine. Its like a skinny person trying to push a heavy load against a bulked up person who will easily do the job.
Best ytber👍
Dream car
vw did great job
May allah give you a M156 or a M159
big engines on long drives are economical but in the city.... consumption is ABSURD
Cayenne Turbo 4.8TT highway 10.1litres/100km over 2400km long drive (city 28litres)
Cadillac Escalade 6.2 Highway 11.4litres/100km over 1100km (city 32litres in rush hour)
I know it’s in liters but how how many gallons has the Bentley done in a mile.
It did 1.9gall in 60 miles
I wonder how much of it is because the engine basically only has to idle to maintain 120kph 😂
Thats what i thought 😂
Indeed it's always the driver, BUT a tesla model 3 that i drive regularly, when you baby it, like you did, gets around 15kwh/100km, and with a simple investment in solar i made, i buy a kwh with around 0.04€ at my house.
So a 100km trip would cost me around 0.6€. Your trip cost around 16€ at your fuel prices. That's OVER 26 times more expensive.
This more than makes up for me, to beat on my mazda mx5 2003 turbocharged when i want to and don't care at all when it consumes like 13-15l/100km in the city.😛
So basically you could just buy one Bentley instead of a Tesla and a Mazda 🙂
Ok but maybe not that realistic consumption test. You took it on highway on no traffic Sunday. Problem is when you drive it around town and on heavy traffic hours. So consumption can easily reach 17 liters /100km. Anyways great car and nice video!
Fair enough! I can assure you, even when driving over 130kph with traffic it was ar 10.6l so it is really incredible
Still it is w12 turbocharged x2, his airco should spent like 5l per 100km. Amaizing
you said you need challenge which is why you dont like all wheel drive. theres a underrated and even disrespected way of driving for fun which i like , its like a slower paced endurance racing (unless you want to drive by these rules with more speed) : drive to increase efficiency by making power more on downhills(speed up with less torque at optimal rpm and fuel according to bfsc graph for you engine, you dont stay too long over roughly 70 mile per hour as much as you can (if your in aerodynamic sedan , for other cars its lot less) , you brake and steer steadily and minimally. preserving momentum around turns is is more efficient than relying on regnerative braking, longer battery life too , les sover heating. most of the enjoyment is overcoming challenge like pursueing perfection, and the adrenaline from really caring a lot, especially from being near danger like when getting near traction loss and planning what to. with these driving rules, you are really planning ahead of time, predicting momentum etc, even in slow traffic . you dont have to be miserable except when roads are open and long distance ahead of you to go crazy in straight line, which is whatalmost all people do, almost nobody explore the limit of cars around 40k USD. even some track guys aare like this, they msotly dont even want to dont drive manual. theres more perfection to pursue in CVT auto vs manual, but CVT usually means low torque response even if it maybe arguably good for effiency to have a normal first gear when there is troque demand for downhills, liek toyota said there is in newer prius @@azizdrives
I’m just curious
All those empty pointless charging stations 😂😂😂 all that land they take up too
53 mpg on a low speed low rpm motorway cruise.
lesss goo
This & s63 not worth these 60k anymore ha
my 1.2 Opel does more than that omg I'm mad
Beamer Benz or Bentley
electric what? 🤣
