Coventry 2-4-16 G.N.. 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr takes the win in Grand National, after removing race leader 4 Dan Johnson entering turn three for the last time.. As Johnson disappears in a cloud of steam, 16 Matt Newson slips past to take second, with 21 Mark Gilbank taking third from the lap handicap.. Johnson limps home in fourth, with 445 Nigel Green taking fifth..

I'm a huge Wainman fan but Frank made up a lot of places when he was forced to cut across the center in turn 2. That radiator hose was coming lose on the no4 car and when he got hit by 515 it must've knocked it clean off

Im surprised that Wainman Jnr's tap on Johnson caused the #4 car so much damage. The gurney cleaners would have been pretty busy on all cars after the end of the night's racing!
