The 90's were a simpler time. Rookies were king, base card stars still had value, and inserts were exciting and easy to understand in terms of rarity. Today there are 50 different parallel versions of each card and only about 2 of them matter.

Before eBay and all these online sites for resellers and flippers. We actually collected these cards to keep and to add to our collection. We traded among our peers at school or on the court/field. None of our cards at the time were worth thousands of dollars. I still have some cards from way back and I love it. I keep the players I like and sell the ones I don’t now a days. So I still try to hold true to true collecting. But I see the advantages of selling also. It’s just hard for me to let go of players that in time can become great. I have wembys but I can’t sell him. But I can hold or sell a cam whitmore. Wemby for me is a hold. Hope you all love collecting and holding. It doesn’t always work out but if you have fun you will have no regrets. I love looking at my old collection from the late 80’s and 90’s.

The 90's were certainly the best decade to be alive and was when my basketball fandom peaked. MJ did rip my heart out as he did everyone else but he is the GOAT for a reason. But so many great personalities and teams. Also amazing cards like Skybox and Upper Deck.

I just bought 4 boxes, cost me $350. Got a perfectly centered base Wemby, worth over $300 in a PSA 10. And I got a perfectly centered pink Ice, will sell for over $1K in a 10. I also got a slightly off center base Wemby and 3 base Wemby inserts, as well as some other decent cards. Definitely not hot garbage 👍. But I get being salty.

Hey to tell you bud but all of the Wemby base inserts (global reach, Instant Impact, Deep Space) unfortunately do not cover most of the cost of the box as you were hoping. His base inserts each sell for like $8-$12 on the average. Need to get a silver to get close to the box cost.
