Having recovered from your previous ordeal, you return to Graethmyr's cave to thank him for his kindness, finding the proper entrance this time. You're a little taken aback by his first introduction but soon find yourself sitting and listening to him reminisce about the old days.
This... was admittedly a struggle. It's been around two years since I recorded the original audio for the first video and it took a few goes to get the voice right for this one, you can probably also hear the joins in recording sessions/edits, but I wanted to get this out since it had already been a long wait since I uploaded the first part.
Anyway, I hope I've still made something you can enjoy and that lives up to your expectations from the first part. Graethmyr will return again soon.
Art, character, script, and voice all by me.

It's nice to see Graethmyr again. He told stories of his life when he was a young dragon, having a family, talking about small folk who respected dragons. Plus, the towel part. He may be a old dragon but the greatest old dragon.

A towel is about the most massively useful thing a dragon can have

@@MartynDerg yes, the towel is useful to use when another traveler themselves fell in the water spring in the cave.

I'm happy for the recent trend in fantasy roleplays and stories to have more peaceful and friendly relationships between humans and monsters in general.
I look back at the fantasy writing and gaming in the past and there was little but bloodshed, greed, and lust for power.
Every backstory a tragedy, and everywhere beset by war.
Much better for the mind are the roleplays of the now. Gentle and loving.
After all, is it not better to have a friendly conversation with a paternal Graethmyr than to be roasted alive by a furious Smaug?

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. As it happens, those kinds of stories made me very scared of dragons when I was little, but there were also some that inspired me to make friendly dragon characters and from there I got a lifelong passion for them. Of course, to some cultures dragons were wise and benevolent, depends on where you look, there's often multiple angles to things like that.

@@RossOriginals Indeed, in many mythologies, most notably the Chinese, the dragon is revered for his wisdom and guidance. In Japanese mythology the Ryu makes the rains come. I suspect that in pre-Christian Europe that dragons were viewed similarly. Perhaps even worshipped. And so the church sought to identify them with evil. Thus we have tales of dragons carrying off princesses to eat and of saints killing them by splashing holy water on them.

Like others have commented, it's sweet that you gave Graethmyr a friendly nature so he can share himself and tales of his dragonkin in this ASMR series. ❤

Thanks, and a little of both, I have listened to asmr for years but never had the confidence to post my own. I still have no confidence but I also thought "well what the hell" and did it anyway.

I really do like this dragon. Hope there will be more of him! If you take recommendations, maybe you could try a Gryphon! They are rather underrated.

Thank you! I have at least three more audios with Graethmyr planned so there will definitely be more of him.
I have a bunch of other characters I want to use first but I do have *one* gryphon character so I'll keep that in mind.

I mean, sometimes people (and dragons) are just chubby y'know. Tbh I am full on phobic of the V-word, there's still cartoons that gave me nightmares as a kid that I cannot stand to watch because of it.
