    That little nudge from the elbow on knee as you step over, that was subtle and nice.

    Like how Brandeon uses the reactions for the 0ps to sprawl without the toe butterfly half and start working from there for the Pass. Additionally, the strategic Disconnect so you don't get rollover is essential, knowing that you can end up in the bottom position if you keep persistence with tight body connections

    Awesome how the way you move your hips along with some cunning frames just cuts through a guard like butter - absolute black magic! Lucky to have you sharing these jedi skills! Thanks BMAC.

    Just taught this tonight in the kids class. I called it the BMac Spider-Man pass. They liked it a lot. Thanks brother.

    Gorgeous technique!! Truly effective and epitome of technical passing.
    Dare I say LETS GO BRANDON!!

  • @StillRolling
    @StillRolling Před 2 lety +18

    I love using the punch choke to get what I want. Which is the arm. So I can gift wrap and take the back but I also go for the head and arm sometimes too. Great stuff brother👊

    • @brandonmcninja
      @brandonmcninja  Před 2 lety +9

      Bingo. The punch choke is fine on its own, but it’s the threat of “real” subs that makes it so so dangerous.

    0740 great point of punch choke to get him to open it and his defense against punch choke of pushing off sets him up for your arm triangle

    Question for you good sir! Is their a detail in this pass that negates any rubber guard play once you've begun to step over one of the hooks. Is fire and flip always a counter or is their a detail that prevents this opportunity for them.

    I have trouble whenever I attempt this because they either come up and grab the back of my belt and sweep me or they block my outside knee with their hand so I can’t close the space.

    What if the person on bottom decides to kip instead of addressing the punch choke, since there are no underhooks for the top person?

    • @brandonmcninja
      @brandonmcninja  Před rokem +1

      If you keep your hips in good position and have weight distributed properly, it’s really hard to do the kipping escape.

      I'm often doing the same, good to see that some black belts do it, too.
      I guess it happens in situations where you're really not using vision anyways.

  • @Igoriann

    I learn in 10th planet gym as well. I think this instructor showed wayyyy too much at once. If you are co fused, keep showing up. I mean you can also show one move at a time, eventually connecting them all. The reason why I feel this is not the case is because he never once said, "as we learned previously" or "as I showed you guys yestwrday". Slow and steady wins the race.
