I also died laughing when Madalena was surprised that King Richard was the One True King all along. I thought, "Did Madalena not hear Jester sing about it in the song?" Lol. Or maybe she didn't want to believe it.
@Madeleine To be fair, the jester doesn't say the king's name. He just says "not if the one who wields this swords stands tall". He didn't technically say who it was. Luckily she can't see the recap like we can lol!
I think this is why I enjoyed the second season more. It felt like the show found it's tone there, with the fourth wall breaking meta jokes and playing even more on genre cliches and expectations.
Just discovered this series and binge-watched both seasons over the last few days. Why is it not better known? It's fantastic and so much FUN! Took me back to my childhood love of "Little Shop Of Horrors", with shades of Horrible Histories/Yonderland, Hercules/Xena and Maid Marian and Her Merry Men all thrown in. This was easily my favorite song of the second season, even though there are funnier/cleverer ones, and that's as someone who was getting a bit sick of the theme by the end of season 1. This recap version is just so epic (actually, the finale of this silly show was IMO more "epic" and fulfilling than the last two seasons of Game of Thrones to me!) and the Jester just slays it. I was actually really disappointed though that the Jester doesn't get to sing the final song of the show in the last episode, with Weird Al and the monks doing so instead. IMO, it should have been for the Jester to wrap things up, especially as it seems like there won't be another season. Kudos to them for actually ending things (with a few minor loose ends in case of a miracle!) instead of leaving us hanging, though!
When this first came out on Netflix I took a few days to watch through the episodes and one weekend I got seriously drunk and when I went home I drew myself a bath to try and sober up a little before going to bed and I must've watched like three episodes on my computer while I was in the tub because then next day when I wanted to watch it I had already watched to the last episode and I didn't remember a single thing that had happened.
@@Darek_B52 can't argue with that but it would be pretty cool to see what the queen gets up to learning the dark dark evil ways and the gang trying to save her from herself.
I've got to admit. The boy can seriously sing.
lol "Thank you! I'm here all week....unless I die."
Honestly, I almost died laughing when both armies started applauding. It was just too good
Mike Brammer "thank you. Here all week, unless I die."

I just noticed, Madalena is the first one to clap.
I think "I'm here all week... unless I die" is quite possibly my favorite line from this show
Definitely true. XD
Mine is still from Sid's song "needing help to pee and poo"
I love how they just took a battering ram to the fourth wall in season 2. Even in season 1 they regarded it as no more than a polite suggestion. ;-)

To borrow the phrase from Harmon Quest, this show was "a Defiler of the 4th Wall."
This is literally my favorite moment of the entire show. Brilliant.
That last note solidified my crush on the Jester
god same
You mean Steve McKinzie, the most epic of womanizers? 😏
This song more solidifies that Ben Presley's talent is absolutely incredible! I can't tell you how many times I have re-watched this scene.
Just like his grandpa Elvis
Seriously though. When this happened, I knew I was in for an amazing ride.

I love it when he makes the little puppets head turn in the opposite direction. Perfect comedy.
Rare is the funny song that still gives me chills.
One of the BEST singers in this cast and this is the best "previously on..." in TV history!
One king to rule them all/One king to find them/One king to take them all/And with his singing bind them
Richard's actor *does* have an amazing singing voice.
This was seriosly hype when i watched it
Jester seems more like a Bard
Ben Presley is the true hero of Galavant
God, he can sing :D
i miss this show
Thank you so much! Had a smile the whole time this was on
+Gus Prado You're welcome :) Jester rocks! haha
+LilyLifeLover Hell yeah he does them pipes he has though haha

Back watching this in 2024. Canceling this show was a crime. #BringBackGalavant
@@jennieanderson5291 I know 😭 It was comedy gold
I LOVE the JESTER, I NEED SEASON 3💗💗💗💗💗
I'm still trying to sing this, it's awesome!!!!
Half these views are mine
I love this song x_x
I'd applaud Jester too. Good singer.
A better show overall than Game of Thrones...don't get me wrong the first four seasons are great but they did not stick the landing.
I love this singer !!
I’d really watch a full on musical of this
I was so happy when I heard the last night go up instead of down
Yes!! I remember thinking "it sounds like he'll go up, but he won't." And then he did! I was so happy, haha
Why hasn't this show been renewed????
It did stick a pretty good ending.

Cause the world ain't fair...
great show, hope there's a 3rd season
You didn’t hope hard enough. I blame you.
@@cutlasscat2868 in retrospect it wasn't THAT good
@@southernfriedmedia3968 L take it was unique and well written
@@madnessarcade7447 it was such a long time ago it feels like. This show and Once Upon a Time were my anticipated shows then

Can you get the final scene of season 2?
+Joel Davis Yeah I agree! Gotta love the monks :)
