So glad I found this channel when I did. Really well put together builds, that aren't min-maxed to the point of ruining a character's entire existence in-game. It's refreshing, especially with games like this.
Have a sub and an obligatory engagement comment.
Bro thanks. You have no idea how many comments I got in the beginning of Pathfinder Kingmaker about how I should lower strength to 7 to max out my Intelligence. I hate min maxing
Something to remember as wizard. You can learn a spell by copying a scroll into your spell book. So common spell scrolls (example: Haste (an incredible utility spell)) shouldn't be picked as a level up option. If you're trying to min/max that is.
True, was only grabbing these to show people what you could do
@@ArcaneAgent And I presume, what spells are 'best in slot' for the build. They can either pick them at level up or buy them soon after.
Forget about the haters man. There will be people that min max and only take what optimizes the build to a point of not being fun. I for one thought the video was great. Not too long and tackled what was needed. Id looooooove to see your opinion on a good druid build. Got a new sub out of me buddy.
Thanks. I am actually working on a solid druid build
You will make a great teacher at school or even college. You already have the glasses and the salt and pepper beard.
Some days I do, some days the beard disappears
something to keep in mind, it's not always the best choice to go into a "special" class right away. because going too early and then having to hop back to one of the common classes at a later time can cause you to miss out on the special passives and feats of the class. Like for example, if you want to make Valerie a Stalwart Defender (which is a great idea btw), you want to wait to level 10 and not level 7 as her fighter class before changing, because if you change at level 7 you miss out on some really good bonuses and feats that you would've gotten otherwise, if you'd just wait a few more levels.
long story, short, be thoughtful on not only on the how, but on the when as well.
Yes the "when" is very important
Do Point Blank Shot / Precise Shot asap for Arcane Trickster, or you'll miss a lot when your targets are in melee with your friends. If you want Spell Penetration, get it later, you won't see Spell Resistance on low-level enemies.
So true
Nice build - being a pen and paper arctrickster player I fully endorse this build
In my opinion the only Metamagic Feat you should take for the blaster caster types is Heighten Spell, for the reasons AA suggested, i.e. it allows you to cast Scorching Ray as a level 3 spell, thus getting you more Scorching Rays per day. There are Metamagic Rods you can find and or buy that do Empower, Quicken, and Maximize and you can buy more than one in some cases. Those rods are some of the best magic items on the game, I'd say. I personally don't like to waste a level 1 spell selection on Shield. I don't cast Shield ever, due to it's short duration, because it's generally better to go with the "the best defense is a great offense" plan than to self-buff for AC in the first round. Also, there are better self-buff defense spells you can cast before combat starts, like Blur, and to be perfectly blunt, those spells are the Cleric or Bard's job in the first place. And speaking of the cleric, he should be able to cast Communal Delay Poison, which allows your wizard to cast Stinking Cloud pretty much anywhere. The only defensive spell your wizard type really needs to know is Communal Protection from Arrows, just because there are a lot of archers out there, and a surprising number of them don't have magic bows.
Badass Dude! You did it great this time. I'm sure others will agree/disagree on spell and feat picks but you clearly got most of the important stuff down. KUDOS!
Yeah spells as a wizard are flexible and people need to understand that
@Zach cash magus wouldnt have the spell progression a wizard would have, but a magus would still rock
@Zach cash yeah I'll have to test it out on my twitch. www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
New to your channel and I've seen a few of your vids.
The haters on CZcams are going to hate regardless, you dont suck, your builds are awesome and everyone is human, so if an update is needed to a build then so be it.
Great channel, great personality and thanks for the time you put into your work
Thank you man! Its comments like this that help me push out new stuff. Working on a Build video for Monday and some more of my lets plays
19:07 and start of vid, total is 113+109+182+184+127+117= 832 total damage, (100 points more then you said in your video, sorry for poimnting this out) ;)
thanks for the awesome work, really enjoying your vids and builds ;)
Well dang, that's even better
Awesome video, mate. Clear, concise and easy to follow/understand.
Thanks
I am commenting because you asked. I love your videos; very informative.
Haha thanks, now go tweet @TeamCZcams to remonetize my channel
Cool, but i can't really avoid taking 2 in rogue, the evasion is far too useful to pass on for me. going through armag's tomb running happily among fireballs and lightning is love.
Bro I totally agree. Evasion is love
One suggestion : normally, only certain somewhat rare creatures have Spell Resistance, so Spell Penetration is better to pick later on. Mind you, I have NOT played this adventure, so maybe in Kingmaker you are confronted early on with beings that have actual Spell Resistance. For those who do not know, Spell Penetration does not affect the normal Saving Throws of targets.
See I believe I grabbed spell pen early because I thought it did affect saves. But youre right
@@ArcaneAgent I know right : I wish the descriptions were clearer and to the point.
Some spells arent as descriptive as they could be for sure
Ok, so I gave this some thought and created a template that will provide:
Illusion spell DC: 22 + Spell Level
Acid spell DC: 21 + Spell Level (23 + Spell Level w/ Robe of Earth)
Illusion spells that do acid damage DC: 24 + Spell Level (26 + Spell Level with Robe of Earth)
You can choose any element with this build since Shadow Evocation and Greater Shadow Evocation counts as both Illusion and whatever damage type the illusion spell causes. You will need to change your spell list, however, as I targeted Acid spells for use with my Elemental choice.
I just wish they included Shadow Conjuration, Greater Shadow Conjuration, and Shades in the Kingmaker spell list ... they are greatly missed.
The reason I went with Acid is that Caustic Eruption has no Spell Resistance, its a pure DC check (which I made as hard as possible to make) and AoE.

You cant take accomplished sneak attacker at level 3 without taking a class that level that can get sneak attack... Right?
Also you forgot prismatic spray. That beast and elemental assessor. Those are some acid and fire boomers
You can, actually take Accomplished sneak attacker, the only pre-req is that you have the Sneak attack class feature that Vivisectionist provided at level 1.
Prismatic Spray is an Evocation spell, which can be cast via Greater Shadow Evocation at higher level and with the benefits of the + DC from GSF(Illusion). Also, if they get hit with that Acid ray, it will go up even higher DC.
Oooooooh that's sesssssyyyy
Well now idk what the hell I'm doing lol everyone's ideas here seem so great!
Does draconic bloodline give bonus damage to sneak dice or just +45 dmg to hellfire ray?
At the cost of slightly less dex (16) and better con (12) = -1 ac/ranged to hit/+1 hp/level a human is better. Why? More skill points and +1 feat so your progression is accelerated. I'd also run with 10 strength and boost wisdom (will save but more importantly perception).
Aleays enjoy your builds. Im gonna try this one when i respec Octavia.
Do it, do it now
I use a variation of this build on octavia in the campaign and it's really fun and OP. It's fun just having her sit back and get 25 or so an attack with just simple cantrips.
I love to see the first build that not dump stats to the max, and still works so fine! proof that you dont have to min max!!! thnkx
I'm not a min maxer . but sometimes you do have to pump some stats and take some away to get a desired effect
Liquid Plays in this guide you olny leave the stats AT 10.. the other guides i seen, have Dumping 2 stats to 7 and i hate that
I guess you could dump some wisdom of even charisma if you never plan to use persuade or use magic device. But i like being able to do stuff hehe
I just defeated the troll layer and I made Tristan a Necromancer/Healer with my main character doing this build.
I didn't know how good undead minions were untill I casted aid and now had 10-12 undead minions while my rouge/bard casts invisibility spells for extra sneak attack damage. Also, haste is so good
Holy shit dude, I was looking for something cool to play on my 2nd run of this game, and I found it.
I love casters, almost always play one in these types of games, right now I’m playing a sorceror.. it’s fine, but since I just wanted to get into the game, I didn’t think so much about feats & spells etc, and it’s really hurting me late game, lol
Man, making videos like this must be taxing considering all the professionals in the comment section.
I have no idea what I'm doing in Pathfinder, so having a build to go off of is great - hence why I watch these videos. I wouldn't be watching or searching if I knew everything.
Perfect comment! I dont know much about pathfinder but there sure are a lot of experts out there !!!
@@ArcaneAgent and what REALLY makes it fun, is that all of the experts
disagree with each other........SCIENCE, YAY!
Hahahha true
Yeah, everyone's an armchair expert. The way I look at it is that there really isn't just one answer, just like with most things in life. There's too many variables for there to be a pure distilled single thread of thought that's 'right'. There are however, better and worse answers and I find that watching videos like this are, at the very least, a good starting point. Liquid explains the reasoning behind his picks and that's usually a pretty solid basis, you can determine for yourself which things to opt as variations that might fit your particular play and perspective better.
For example, I personally don't like extreme min / maxed stats. It messes with my immersion. So when I use builds like this one, I tend to lean back from that part a little. I still stagger the stats in the recommended way, just not to the point where I think I am going from making an interesting character with strengths and weaknesses, to a mathematically generated projection for 'optimal' peak returns on an excel spreadsheet. That's just me though. I am sure there are others that lean in hard.
I think Liquid gives the best 'answer' from his perspective. We can moderate that with our individual thoughts and ideas.
Lol Liquid, what a guy
18:39 reduced damage because of difficulty not because he’s a rogue and made a save...rays don’t give a save...spells that use attack rolls usually don’t give saves.
Swag
i like this build,, will try it, Thankyou
Thanks! I need the positive comments every now and then!
I'd actually recommend you taking empower and maximize spell feats instead. Instead of few ranged touch spells, you can use your best ones over and over again and they deal more damage.
I like what you are saying here as too many spells get overwhelming and i like the idea of focusing a bit more on that fireball and hellfire ray. So how would you apply what you are saying to Liquid's above build?
This is true
Taking them just asap?
Awesome thanks for the video! Great ideas in the comments too!
Thats the best part is people actually helping down in these awesome comments
Dex increases your ARMOR CLASS against all touch attacks. That's why touch attacks are so mean; melee touch attacks AND the rays spells are touch attacks too, they ignore a TON of a target's AC. So much easier to hit MOST targets as they get no Shield or Armor AC bumps as far as I Know. Your Dex increases your RANGED attacks which includes RAY spells. If you want to increase your MELEE touch attacks (think spells like Shocking Grasp), either raise your STRENGTH or get Weapon Finesse and PUMP that DEX stat! So, if you have Weapon Finesse and a high DEX build, you are GREAT at both types of TOUCH ATTACKS! Hehe. NOICE!
Working on a Mystic Theurge guide. Not build but a guide
Great news. Make sure to mention what spells you'd pick please, just like this one. If you go Wiz, then it don't MUCH matter as you can scribe any wiz spell you find into the book, but for GREAT effect, I'd go Sorc for the Arcane side of things. Pick a variety of nice damage spells and a few protection buffs that the Divine side don't have access to. Then flesh out the most likely Divine spells I'd "learn" to have with me on a day-to-day basis. Make sure to grab at least 2 metamagic feats (especially if you are going Sorc and they work for Sorcerers; never tested this out, but it should work).
I'd like to see if you go Druid again or decide that Clerics have more to offer. Either way, it should be interesting to see what you come up with.
Thank you so much for your arcane trickster build! Only reason I have stayed away from it is because I did not know about Sense Vitals (was told it was broken) and I didn't like to hold the limited postures of sneak damage (at least until level 10 [invisible thief]). But since then I have also discovered greater invisibility. Also, what if you spent 4 levels on rogue/thug vs. one. You could pick up more sneak damage, dazzling display/shattered defenses, and uncanny dodge. I know that dazzling display may not work on everything, but if it does and shattered defenses makes them all flat-footed they become very easy to hit and it qualifies as sneak damage targets.
Shattered defenses is a fav
I know I’m late to the party but what do you think about taking a one level dip into archer archer to be able to “dual weld a bow and your spell attack?”
Isn't it 2 level dips?
There letters is your glasses :D
I think I'm going to use this as reference for my sword saint build. Using the falchata , and switch out 5 levels of wizard for sword saint.
Sounds good to me
What kind of build should I put my spin on next? Let me know in the comments!!!
I always like building 2 weapon fighting fighter/rogue with lots of dex and sneak attack. I am already playing one but would like to see what improvements i can make on it.
I'm working on a whole different kind of rogue right now
Give it a go at a true gish - i have something like a magus/alchemist/dragon disciple/duelist/
I shall gish like crazy
Trying to decide between dual wielding gish or two handed gish, maybe a bow gish.
I noticed you have a misunderstanding concerning the use of Heighten Spell. It doesn't improve spells that don't require saves, like Magic Missile and Touch attack spells with the notable exception of Disintegrate because of the fort save. It's really only good for boosting the DC of lower level spells for end game use such as Constricting Coils. Using a 5th level spell slot normally let's say its DC is 22, with Heighten Spell you make it a 9th level slot with a DC of 27. Magic Missile and Touch Spell power is increased by Caster Level, not Spell Level. If you want to boost the Caster Level of a spell, it seems there are few options here but you can use Spell Specialization. By the same token, Spell Focus does nothing for Touch Attack spells with the notable exception of Disintegrate, which also means Elemental Focus doesn't effect Touch Spells either. They are for your Fireballs, and Chain Lightnings and such.
In my opinion a more focused Ray/Blaster build would look like this. Spell selections assume you don't start with the free scrolls which may come up if you do level 1 as a Rogue. Also, as you progress through the campaign, the scroll merchant can help you fill any spells you are missing up to your current spell casting level + or -.
Arcane Trickster (Octavia Respec)
Race: Elf or Half-Elf
STR 9, DEX 18, CON 12, INT 19, WIS 12, CHA 7 (If Transmuter put point into STR raising to 10; Can lower WIS and raise CHA if Main Character)
Skills: Trickery, Stealth, Arcana, Perception, Use Magic Device, Extras into World and Mobility (Persuasion is a must if Main Character)
Weapon: Acid Splash (most situations) or Disrupt Undead (vs Undead), any usable weapon with Agile on it (usually Rapier)
1 - Wizard: Conjurer or Transmuter (Opposed Divination/Necromancy), Point Blank Shot, Spell Focus: Evocation (Spells to focus on: Grease, Shield, Burning Hands, Color Spray, Snowball, Expeditious Retreat, Enlarge Person), Hare Familiar
2 - Rogue (If playing as Main Character, I think it's far easier to start as a Rogue)
3 - Wizard, Accomplished Sneak Attacker (Spells: Magic Missile, Vanish)
4 - Wizard (Spells: Sense Vitals, Scorching Ray)
5 - Arcane Trickster, Precise Shot (Spells: Mirror Image, Web)
6 - Arcane Trickster (Spells: Heroism, Stinking Cloud) (There is a good chance of having scrolls of Haste and Fireball prior to this level)
7 - Arcane Trickster, Greater Spell Focus: Evocation (Spells: Battering Blast, Slow)
8 - Arcane Trickster (Spells: Dimension Door, Controlled Fireball)
9 - Arcane Trickster, Spell Specialization: Controlled Fireball (Spells: Greater Invisibility, Dragon Breath)
10 - Arcane Trickster (Spells: Hungry Pit, Constricting Coils)
11 - Arcane Trickster, Spell Penetration (Spells: Icy Prison, Communal Stoneskin)
12 - Arcane Trickster, switch Spell Specialization to Hellfire Ray (Spells: Hellfire Ray, Greater Heroism)
13 - Arcane Trickster, Greater Spell Penetration (Spells: Sirocco, Chain Lightning)
14 - Arcane Trickster (Spells: Greater Polymorph, Finger of Death) (I still use Finger of Death even though it's opposition)
15 - Wizard, Outflank (As far as I can tell, this still works to help generate Attacks of Opportunity for your party members as well as give sneak attacks +2 extra to hit)
16 - Wizard, Heighten Spell (Spells: Greater Angelic Aspect, Polar Ray)
17 - Wizard, Empower Spell (Spells: Power Word Stun, Protection from Spells)
18 - Wizard (Spells: Heroic Invocation, Weird)
19 - Wizard, Maximize Spell (Spells: Clashing Rocks, Dominate Monster)
20 - Wizard (Spells: Tsunami, Communal Mind Blank)
For the most part I'd use the Grandmaster's Rod to empower and maximize my lower slot spells and Rod of the Fearless for my opening, squeezing in another fireball or magic missile before the main event. My numbers are very similar to your build though.
Currently working on a new blaster trickster build, in the meantime look at my most recent "Wizard Blaster" build video
Oh YEAH! Challenge accepted.
Put in on Unfair difficulty and fight the Lantern King..
I have a respec mod on my game might respec Octavia like this
I still can't get the Respec mod to fully work
cool i can actually comment, good content, keep it up. could u show the build on some different places other than the starting area?
Id have to play the game for 20 hours hehe but I will try
Thanks
Wow !!!
can i also use this build but replace the elf as human?
Guess i'm respec'n again...1 thousandth like! Woop Woop!
Well dang
@@ArcaneAgent So today I decided to respec Linzi to a cleric. I want her to be quick and sneaky, running around the battlefield, avoiding damage whilst healing and buffing me and my party members. If you find the time i would be curious as to how would you go about this kind of build. Happy sunday!
love your builds!
would this arcan trickster work with eldritch archer and 'ranged spell strike" feature?
You would have some really slow spell progression. It would be better to just go wizard and arcane trickster and focus on ranged touch attacks
Talk about “a lot to unpack”. Fuck. 😂
Nice video !! What team would you suggest ? Only with companions (no merc and Main will be a ranged caster)
Youll need at least 2 tanks up front with a lot of AC. And definitely a healed. I like 2 to 3 ranged classes, either with spells or bows.
The tanks need to be beefy. And your ranged characters in the back can double as dps and buffs and heals
thx ill try this.
Wonderful guide. Would you do guides for each companion to get the best of each one?
Companions like Linzi or Animal Companions
@@ArcaneAgent Like Linzi
Ah I see
I know this comment is really hate, but I can't seem to replicate ur damage numbers. Did they nerf hellfire ray? How are you applying the sneak attack bonus to both the fire and unholy portion of ur ray?
*really late* sorry for the type. Also how is the fire portion of your maximized hellfire ray doing over 45 damage? It says (maximized, durability).
They've probably nerfed it at this point. However hellfire ray is still crazy powerful even in Wrath of the Righteous
@@ArcaneAgent thank you. I checked the patch notes for kingmaker and didn’t see a nerf but ye it’s still doing [90 (maximized) + 24(average sneak with 8 dice)] * 3. This is only about 342 damage on average. Also does heightened maximized hellfire any different from just maximized since both are level 9 spells?
Why is the hellfire ray giving 6 hits? Description says 3 rays maximum
Bugged
Loved the channel, didnt love the gameplay in starting area.
Would marry you in a heartbeat though.
Glad you like the channel. Glad I'm married to my wife as well!
why do you mention Hellfire ray in context of taking spell focus feet, when Hellfire ray actually doesnt care about enemy saves?
I'll have to look at spell focus dc and hellfire Ray. But I believe hellfire allows for a reflex save. If it doesn't, at least elemental focus works on all of your other fire spells.
at least, in-game description says nothing like that and it seems to be the same for other ray-type spells with some exeptions like desintegrate for example
and honestly it seems to be pretty fair, because you already have to make an attack roll to successfully hit enemies with them
I think you may be right. I'm not sure why I mentioned elemental focus specifically for that spell. But it helps with your other fire spells.
Thanks for not chewing me out too harshly.
do you know, you look very similar to Negan from Walking Dead TV series?
so i don't think that being harsh on you is some kind of good idea ;)
Yes a lot of people say that. The actors name is Jeffrey Dean Morgan I believe
Спасибо
I dont russian
I have a different proposal.
Elf is a pretty good choice, can't do much better here, though I'd go Vivisectionist rather than Rogue. While having weapon finesse would be nice but you want to stay out of close combat anyway. The biggest loss is the early class skills and skills per level, still, it's only ever gonna be one and you get those class skills from Arcane Trickster anyway.
I'd argue that most Spell Focuses are wasted, since neither hellfire ray nor scorching ray have saves (and it doesn't increase spell penetration).
As for the Wizard, rather than go Universalist, I would go Thassalonian Greed wizard. Helps with the initial Stat point allocation and you won't really be missing enchantments or illusions.
My stat array (after racial mod) would be
8 - 19 - 11 - 19 - 10 - 8 (or 8 19 13 19 8 7 depending on how much min max you wanna do).
From Transmutation specialist you get +1 on dex (or constitution) when you get your first belt you may wanna change it, at level 4 goes into another intelligence, at level 8 into constitution or dexterity. The next two (12 and 16 into intelligence, or dexterity, dealers choice, the last one into that uneven leftover, because your transmutation bonus is now even as of level 17).
Other than conjuration, transmutation has the best spells.
As for transmutation double spells at each level.
1. Enlarge Person, helps to give your fighters more damage output.
2. Cat's Grace, Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength (whatever you're lacking in terms of belts), later on it should probably be extended Enlarge Person.
3. Haste
4. Obsidian Flow meh (Extended Haste)
5. Polymorph is nice if you have a monk mercenary (though I don't think style strikes work with it), Angelic Growth, Baleful Polymorph or my personal favorite: Animal Growth (especially nice with a polymorphed monk).
6. Disintegrate, Greater Heroism
7. Greater Polymorph, Legendary Proprtion (GIANT MONK SMILODON!)
8. Dragonkind III, Greater Angelic Aspect
9. Not a big fan of Fiery Body...but maybe an extended Dragonkind III tickles your fancy).
Also, you get Alchemist spells, I mostly use them for true strike. Did I mention you get a Mutagen out of it, and even better, it stacks with enchantments and belts, +2 to your already weak wisdom is suboptimal though. Luckily will should be a high save for you.
Everyone says go vivisectionist hehe. And I love transmutation
Hi, thanks for the Arcane Trickster build and your fright rogue build! What if you were to add power attack (needs 13 str and +1 BAB) and then got Cornugon Smash? I know power attack says when you wound someone with a melee attack, but could this work for ranged spell or ranged bow? Perhaps Piranha Strike? My idea was to take cornugon smash so that when hit by spells they would be demoralized (thus allowing you to add sneak damage. I guess if you have to use a melee weapon to do it, you could - but I was thinking weapon focus ray, then power attack, then cornugon smash. Thoughts? I know this eats 3 badly needed feats, but you will get utilization out of weapon focus - ray and if it works in simplifies keeping them vulnerable to sneak damage (as you only have so many greater invisibility and vital strike spells).
I'm testing a shatter thug at the moment with ranged
Can you do sorcerer and rogue for arcane trickster?
Can you solo with this build
You should write the build on the descrition
I should
I like how they use fox icons for a lot of their animal companions and all of their familiars, but you can't actually get a fox as a animal companion or a familiar.
P.S. Octavia has a hair familiar.
Get it..."hair"
@@ArcaneAgent *rimshot*
Oh. He's hot.
Who
I was wondering, if I go for Tiefling + Base Sorc into AT, what's a bloodline you can recommend? Is it right to base the sorc bloodline on whichever has the best passive/bonuses on the first 4 levels? (Considering you'll be stuck with level 4 sorc for a good chunk while you go for 10 AT)
can a wizard specialise in more than one spell class/school ?
No. But you could multiclass as an evocation wizard and then go into another divine class
Oooo, lets see what you got this time?
I'm working on another build right now on my desktop while typing this on my laptop
I'm doing a similar sort of thing with Octavia but completely ignoring the bow since for whatever reason her ai is set to auto attack with acid splash
Friggin acid splash. Can we set their AI to do what we want?
You can't for some reason. Usually you can right click an ability and the ai will keep using it but for Octavia she automatically uses acid splash when an ability isn't right clicked on so you can't get her to fire her bow unless you left click for every shot which gets pretty annoying to micromanage
Thats a big oof
Maybe its just optimizing. Low base attack only gives her one attack until around lev 9 or 10 and acid splash is ranged touch so much better chance to hit.
Is a wizard alchemist backline/support character a viable build and if so how exactly should the levels be split?
Is there a reason to go rouge over the amazing alchemist subclass?
If youre only wanting the vivisectionist for sneak attack, sure. I like rogues thats why
Slayer deliverer lawful good is crazy good
Why not Vivisectionist instead of Rogue? You aren't losing anything, and you're gaining Mutagen.
A mutagen for 10 minutes a day. More skill points with rogue
To each his own. I personally prefer the mutagen+free spell over an extra 2 skill points. With 4 Skill Points per level, you aren't hurting too much for skill points.
Exactly to each his own
Hi nice vid iam trying a necromancer and cant get it right would not mind seeing how you would do it
I shall do some necromancer testing
@@ArcaneAgent thanks for looking into it good luck
My next video is my Trapper build coming out Wednesday, and then Friday is my Dreadful Ranger Rogue.
But necromancer has been requested a lot. So I'll be working on that
Hey, first I'd like to say nice guide. Second I'm interested in playing a Ecclesitheurge as my main and wondering if there were any good multiclass options with this as my main character? Thanks
I'll jump into an Ecclesitheurge build soon.
Only way i would eclseo is take healing domain as number 1 and then split to sorc the kind who casts off wisdom then mystic thurge
Thoughts on magus rogue builds ?
Yeah I need to pluck around with a Magus/Rogue. Are you wanting Arcane Trickster? Melee or Ranged?
Does thunder call applies in sneak attack
If you are a level 10 arcane trickster
Thanks for your video.
Why at this point - 18:27 - sneak attack does 10d6 damage ? I'm trying to reproduce build and I have only 7d6 sneak attack damage without Sense Vitals buff: 1d6 from Rogue + 1d6 from Accomplished Sneak Attaker + 5d6 from Arcane Trickster.
I think it was because at this point I was level 10 as an Arcane trickster which gives me already 10 D6
@@ArcaneAgent level 10 AT trickster doesn't give 10 D6 sneak afaik
At 10th level AT, this build has 7d6 sneak attack. Sometimes I say things wrong in these videos.
@@ArcaneAgent but you didn't say it wrong. In your combat logs it showed 10d6 and we wonder how/why
2d6 from rogue
5d6 from arcane trickster
3d6 from sense vitals
10d6
well im making my wizard a trickster now. im at the prime lvl of 9 so i can still do it although a little bit slower
.
As all wizards should be. Also, I'm doing a lets play of an Arcane Trickster!
build is relevant for the passage of hard difficulty?
If you gear right and prepare correctly yes
Ahhh better ;P
Working on another build as we speak hehe
i am very new to dnd but how does this build work with so many spells, but no charisma? wouldnt that mean you cannot access those level of spells?
Was using wizard intelligence
@@ArcaneAgent man, you are the best. Appreciate the patience my simple questions.
Hey man no problem!
do you get sneak attack with a ray that doesn't do damage, like ENERVATION?
Yes I'm currently working on a sneak attack ennervation build
If you do, it's a bug.
my mom is a bug

He cant solo tartuccio.

Okay, so i just got this game and i do not know anything about the character building, but i dont get how you can have so many spells at lvl 1. Is this a NG+ or something?
I was building up this character through mods at a level 1 area to show everyone the capabilities of what they could do at level 20
@@ArcaneAgent ahh ok! =) I thought it was a bit strange =D
What doesn't kill you, makes you stranger?
Great video but I completely disagree with your build. Well you pick good race for that build. But thumbs up because it's just nice to hear you talking builds. Even if I disagree with them.
That's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm always putting our more build videos
I was trying to do with Wizard and Alchemist, I guess rogue is better then the alchemist sub class?
Depends on what you like. I likey my rogues
Just a silly question. How can you reach lvl20 in early game? I'd like to test some builds too but i dunno how to do it
I'll post a video on it
Thank you, great video btw. I would have picked the feats in a different order (especially spell focus and greater spell focus in early game, while metamagic ones later), but this is still a good build. I know u're building a lvl20 character, but u should also think how to play this PC early game, not only at lvl 20.
Cant really maximize anything until you can cast level 3 or 4 spells. Thats why I picked maximize later.
Spell focus evocation and spell pen are usesable by alot spells
That's why i would have picked those feats ealier, such as greater spell focus at lvl 17. I would have picked the same feats as u did but at different lvl. I'm not native english, i don't know if i explained myself as much as i would
You did well! I understand what you mean
Nah, unfortunately this is a bug. Only the first ray in a spell of multiple rays get the sneak damage. This is sadly an exploit, akin to using cheats.
I don't think you know the definition of cheats. The game applies the damage, the player has nothing to do with it, so how would that be cheating?
@@charlesd6060 I don't think you know the definition of "akin"...
@@fanispatitsas2192 I don't think you know the definition of definition.
@@charlesd6060 Right. I will not even debate you, I will hope that you will understand for yourself how in your obsession to have the last word you become an imbecile.

haha so can you kill a tarasque with that 9 lvl hellfire ray?
Perhaps
Sadly the tarrasque has ray-reflecting skin - no joke.
Cool build but with being on console you can't level to that high in the beginning of the game. But cool to watch as I level
Thats the main point of my builds, to show people what you can do
@@ArcaneAgent I wish you could do all the super modding on ps4 you can do on pc, ps4 ver even after first patch it still crashes all the time and end up replaying tons of stuff over nnover.. would be nice to create powerful high lv Chris to play throu the game.
@@ArcaneAgent I do love you builds and vids. My main chr on first playthrough is following you magus/dragon disciple/monk build..for the most part, and the fauchard is now my fav wpn
Ive got a no mod playlist so you can watch those that dont need mods on console
Play blackops
I do every day
Thanks for the build, I would like to try it. However I’m getting 2 skill points less, so cannot get Perception +5, but only +3. I’m using the latest game version. Can you please advise why it is so? Also, you mention in video mobility and trickery should be both 4, but you have 5 per skill. Thanks a lot!
He's using a mod for the game, he mentions it at the start. Notice that at certain points while leveling he gets an option to either get more health or get an additional skill point, that's where your missing skill points are. The mod is on Nexus, and if you are wondering if it's a cheat, not really. The additional aspects it provides are available in the pen and paper version of Pathfinder, and they are counterweighted with negative choices as well. You can game the system a bit, but it's not outright cheating.
weird, I only have 20 ability points, yet you start with 25 points why is that O_O
Are you respecting someone or using a fresh character
@@ArcaneAgent ah am respecting, maybe thats why? D:
Probably
First, why are you picking soo many spells to keep people away from you? you have access to Greater Invisibility only creatures with true sight should be able to see you plus as a range caster you should be in the back line behind all the other martial characters so it makes no sense unless you want to play alone, also why are you planning on using a bow? Your damaging spells should do such an outrageous amount of damage when convined with your sneak attack that why even bother using a bow.
PS: Also buff spells don't stack they override eachother with the better buff so you don't need to have cat's grace if you are going to use another buff that is going to give you +4 to all your Physical Attributes, also those spells don't work with the belts of physical might (the ones that buff all your physical attributes soo you wasted your time with those spells for the most part).
Alone sometimes.
Bow use allows for rapid shot, many shot. You fire those off continually whereas you can run out of spells.
Buff spells also buff your front line melee
@@ArcaneAgent which still is kind of useless for them if the have equiment of the appropiated level, since the buff will not surpass the +6 of the Belt of Physical Might the only buff you should be picking are the dragon form spell, your build lacks versatility in most of your spells are focused on damage yet you ignored desintegrate until around level 19 other thing is specializing in elemental damage of one type is shitty idea since elemental inmunities exist and this was teached in the Troll arc with the acid inmune Trolls
Its ok I promise you
This build sucks too.
Jk, love the vids
Haha I was about to cry
Really not keen on your tone. Stopped watching after the first minute.
You should check out my other negative videos as well
Sorry, but build is mostly ... bad.
0) Do you realize that your video clearly show us bugged behavior of Hellfire Beam? It should have max 3 rays, and not heighten, not empower/maximized metamagic should NEVER affect this? Game split fire & unholy parts of ONE beam as it was different beams. This is just a bug. Try to imagine if rogue sneak attack was added to each different elemental damage dice of his dagger? xD
1) Specialization (for non-Tassalonic) is a pure gain - you still able to cast prohibited spells in rare situation when you really need it. So you're deny +1 cast per level purely for ... nothing?
2) Str. You don't need it at all. You have your companions (since tutorial!) to carry your stuff and it isn't cost-effective to carry some 50 lbs armor that sell for just 5-10 gp. Skipping them you will lose ~several k of money, that means nothing in game.
3) Feat picks are ridiculous at best. Spell penetration never need until mid-game so there's no sense to pick it on first level. Instead, for leveling mage you want your Spell Specialization come online ASAP (free damage & ability to retake new spell each level).
4) Acid Arrow don't do any notable damage (if only it's DoT able to tigger Sneak Attack xD) + you will get scrolls of it later.
5) Maximize is a trash (you will get 1-3 maximise rod very quickly) and cast 1st level spell as 4th one.... Never cost it. Simply - math against you. Even Empower is questionable in efficiency, but maximize never worth it.
6) Where's Enervation? Very powerfull debuff, that bypass saves.
7) Shadow Evoc is mostly trash on wizard (if you AREN'T illusionist - obviously!). Why waste 5th level slot for shadow fireball when you can have metamagic-boosted fireball here? True, in table-top game it's unlocking almost hundreds of spells for you, but it's mosly useless in CRPG.
8) Level 5th fire shake is ignoring friendlies. So safe to use and definitely worth a slot.
9) Acid Fog in favor over Sirocco? And NO chain lighting? WHAT? Suprised chain lighting =
You must be fun at parties
Sorry if I offended you, I really tried to throw away some harsh words, because no way I wanted to offend you.
If your intents was only to get some fun - than great. But I find your video by link from some other P:Kingmaker player, who point on your video as a guide. And in this role, as a guide to leveling 1-20 your picks are really sub-optimal at best.
So I wanted to point on this if someone will try to copy your build 1-in-1.
Sorry again, if I sound too rude.
No problem. I dont always put the right feats in the right levels. As a wizard you can pick whatever spells you like, so I pick my favorite ones regardless of their use really
Which video reccommended me?
Well lets just have fun with this bug for a while
You mispronounce a surprisingly large amount of words. "Expeeedious" might want to google that one chief.
