Yes, NO DOUBT they were clever and had a sound. So do many bands. THey are on my top 2 list. but as a musician and producer, can't agree at all. Players have gotten better over the last 40 years. Clever... that is hard to find in any era. But selling music is what changed.. you have to look now.

Badgers and Cheese on Toast ... I was extremely fortunate ... In Detroit, Michigan I saw Queen live in the 2,000 seat Ford Auditorium for the Sheer Heart Attack Tour on February 10th, 1975, The Night At The Opera Tour on February 12th 1976 at The 4,500 seat Masonic Temple, The Jazz Tour on November 10th, 1978 at Cobo Arena, The Game Tour 9.20.1980 at Joe Louis Arena and The Hot Space Tour August 6,1982 also at Joe Louis Arena. My older brother (I am #2 of 8 siblings) scored 5th row seats for the 1975 gig, and it was so incredible. In 1978 5 of us siblings and my Mom were at Cobo for the Jazz show. I love this older material so much! Not only beautiful vocals in their young life voices, but to see their young selves, so young & beautiful. Especially Freddie, it's amazing how much he changed from.1975 to 1985! He grew up, filled out a bit, worked out & got muscles. His voice changed too, still recognizable, but deeper & richer. In his 20s he had a clear, bell like quality. He never really lost it, but it changed.

You know what the best part is about the band Queen? Their music is timeless... so ahead of their time in the 70's and even the 80's. The music you heard then is even better when you hear it today. I guarantee the surge in sales after the movie Bohemian Rhapsody was tremendous and they are all people who either never heard them before or didn't realize how good they were. I was too young to see Queen in the 70's and an idiot for not seeing them in the 80's but we all have regrets. Every band member other than Freddie is underrated in my opinion. Thank you for literally decades of listening pleasure... the only music in a mix that I never fast forward through or skip.

When they appeared on Top Of The Pops. i had become an ardent fan from then onwards. Watching their sheer determination and self belief was worth all the hurdles they faced. Then everyone was amazed when Bohemian Rapsody exploded onto

ABSOLUTE BEST BAND! They touch the soul. I've been an avid fan since they began, and people said, "Queen?" They each are intelligent and uniquely talented, and together they are magic. QUEEN, always and forever!!!

Totally agree...I had to buy the DVD of this concert just for that song. I knew of queen but was limited 80s girl. Listening to it all now. OMG. I'm in awe of his talent.

The audience singing Love of my Life always gives me goosebumps. I've seen it here and in Wembley 1986.
