Big shout out to whoever put this together. We appreciate when people go through and find the clips properly and dont just repeat the same 10 clips endlessly
2:22 Love Richard Wilson's reaction to Mrs. Thatcher 😂
Whoever was trawling through the clips to put this together either had a right laugh or became very depressed at 13:02
“You could have Ed Milliband as Prime Minister, and you haven’t voted for him EITHER…” wait for 2007-2024, Ian!!!
Paul Merton's "I'm just bored and phoning it in" shtick is genius, because on the nights when he genuinely IS just bored and phoning it in nobody feels like they can say anything.
Im fourteen and looking at how changed and yet ageless Merton and Hislop look is really weird!!
and how the scandals never change 😂😂
Sad there wont be an election show this year
I can’t believe it
Why not?
@@karinahansen9884I believe it's the first time in the shows run that a General Election has been called when the series isn't on. They're invariably in May when the Spring season airs and the 2019 election was in November during the Winter series. It's a shame the BBC didn't commission a one-off
@@jimwantsaliens not the first time. the 1992 GE episode was aired when the series wasn't on.
Why?
'They're obviously stockpiling there, they know something we don't!' - I'm convinced most of us were aware on a subconscious level that something was just around the corner...
It's quite sad that this is gonna be the first Election where there's no HIGNFY Election special.
How come, do you know the reason why?
So Boris has been PM now so who has a champagne cork and a frisbee we can use? 😂
I want Angus back; 22 years is more than enough time served.
Anyone got a champagne cork and/or frisbee?...
In 2024, Im currently wishing Lembit would run for prime minister
Angus D was brilliant
1:03:50 'They're obviously stockpiling there, they know something we don't'
aged like milk
Hmm..indeed. Although, he wasn't going to any emergency meetings, so he probably didn't
@@stuartpaulsmith3186 Oh I didn't mean to suggest they actually knew anything, just caught me off guard a bit heh.
Beardy man of Barnsley made me belly-laugh
And what have we fkn learned?
Nothing!!??
A brilliant montage, going back to when politics was- just as crazy as now.
Great old fun!!
Those red roses are Soo dead!?
Is that a thing?
Who let Paul out in that top
Giles Brandreth is wonderful ❤
Most excellent🎉🎉🎉
I still miss Angus in HIGNFY.
Obligatory comment:
A) Angus was the best presenter.
B) It's not as funny as it used to be.
C) Bloody BBC bias.
There you are: now you don't have to waste your time. Just watch the video and enjoy.
👏👏👏
2:20 Is this where the Tories got their idea for their vile "Surrender" poster from?
When will new episodes be put on Iplayer again? We so need a good laugh these days.
October. That’s what I heard somewhere, but you might want to double check. :)
@@ZolaClyde Just in time for US elections!!
@@ZolaClyde I thought they may have stopped for fear of being accused of influencing the elction (a shame as i can only imagine the fun they would have with some of the election news). October seems so far away. It is the last great comedy news show (now mock the week is no more :( )
Bring back angus
16:29 🗿
12:56 that really hasn't aged well
Angus was the best ever host. His 'crime' was no more than adultery, which is pretty much the norm for most celebrities/politicians.
... that and the cocaine, alleged.
Oh, getting rid of him was hypocritical nonsense. I think his buddy Stephen Fry put it best when he said that he has refused all overtures to be a guest host because of the decision to fire Deaton, which Fry called "greasy, British and pathetic."
The BBC is rather hypocritical, demonising someone for doing wrong
Besides that, treating him like he's the next Hitler is laughable
I respectfully disagree, it's a lot better with different hosts
@@Ann-oh6qw who the hell deleted my comment?!
How dare anyone tell me no!!!
Whatever happened to Nick Ross? Did he end up having nightmares?
😂😂😂
In the second clip, we see Gyles Brandreth next to Paul but can anyone tell me who is sitting next to Ian please?
Clive Anderson
@@roundig Thanks
Same as it ever was...........
Just shows how slick the programme was under Angus. Its never been as cutting or satirical since.
Ian and Paul are superb satirists but Angus was a superb hosts.
No - I’m glad we kept Blair! Hussein should have been ousted in 1991 re Conservatives and the USA balls it up
Compared to now the Tories half decent party back in 1997. It's shame they're. doing a special for this year's election what the help going on at the bbc?
