Love both her videos and her live performances. Personally I think she could easily be an actress or a producer/director if she wanted to. I find the stories/messages she conveys in her videos almost as good as her music, and that is no small feat. You still need to check out her song Animal Soul from the Verftet Online Music Festival. Just her singing and playing piano. Poignant, tender and haunting.

The live version on the Honda Stage brings out even more of the raw feeling you mentioned. Her voice as well as the band bring a lot of energy that I miss from the studio version of this song.

Most of her songs are like earworms you find yourself humming the chorus long after you have listened the song. Most artists would kill to have a tune that sticks in listeners heads very skilled song writing. Looking forward to the rest of Aurora week.
Another great Aurora reaction! As I recall, she started writing this at age 9 and finished when she was 18. A lot of people assume that it's about throwing herself at a man who doesn't want her, but it was actually inspired by her trying to fit in with the popular crowd at school (again, she started writing it very early in life), before accepting the fact the she was an outsider, and they weren't worth her devotion.
Aurora is so creative. She always has interesting instrumentation, and she's a bit of a percussion nerd, always seeking new and interesting sounds there, and I noted that you brought up the percussion in this track. She's also very heavily involved in her music videos too, so her creativity shines there too.
This was often a very popular part of her live sets, with that very upbeat, dancey chorus. It's especially good at the Honda Stage performance.
Another great song written by AURORA. There are so many. Her live performances of this song are incredible. You can't improve her in a studio. She carries a studio and an ability to do arrangements on the spot in her head. You should check out "You keep me crawling" and "Under Stars" if you haven't.

There is a dance / house remix of this song called "MK Remix" which is pretty good as well.
This one was really interesting. Was Like If Aurora singing a Song Made for Ellie Goulding. Normally i think the really slow stuff is typical Aurora.

I love both her studio work and her live performances. I think they show two sides of her creative gift and I think she could be an actress or a producer/director if she wanted to be. I usually, like 90% of the time, prefer live versions....because, well, it's Aurora. You know.
But....I really really like the visual vibe of this video. And her performance in it. Especially when she's wearing that silvery dress in the mossy slick black rock cavern waterfall...place. She looks jawdroppingly beautiful, and gives such an emotionally cathartic performance of the song. Visually showing you what it means....
I wish you'd do the music video AND the live performance after.. 😁

Live is always better. She is so in the moment when she is singing and the recording process is so spread out that it loses something.
