Just saw them in Omaha. Couldn’t believe I was note hip to this group before. Wow, I remember thinking these guys are a tough act to follow for Greta Van Fleet. Made a fan of me. Rock and roll.
Both bands put on a hell of a show but these guys have been around awhile. Very popular in Europe. I have seen GVF many times and Rival Sons too but never at that same show. Must have been awesome. Jay can sing anything - what a talent.

saying you used one shure 88 mic to record this? great mic but i take it the mic was where you were filming? then this is a testament to their sound people cause its a good as any live album as far as clarity levels and compression
Y'all keep saying it was a "great" show? What is great about this? I mean, they SOUND incredible, but what I'm seeing here is a boring performance. I'm glad I found this video, though. I almost bought tickets to the show coming up in my town.
Know what you mean. They sound great, but from other performances on CZcams, definitely do not have the energy of the past. Seem like they're going through the motions. Hate to say it, but I believe they're "time" has passed. Been in and out of the studio for awhile.....
Treading in dangerous waters when questioning someone's personal opinion, but that never stopped me before!! The Mona Lisa sits on a wall and yet people wait a lifetime to see it and come away captivated. Prince's last performance consisted of him at a piano with a microphone for hours, simply sitting, playing and singing. The definition of Epic! I saw Chris Cornell sit stationary on a stool center stage with just his guitar and was left speechless. Rival Sons gives you great music with a once-in-a-generation voice bringing it home every show. If you want the eye candy and theatrics, which is often just to distract from the fact that the performer doesn't have great music or vocals, they are out there and would welcome you buying their tickets!! The vibe and energy and communal feeling of a live Rival Sons show is well worth your time and money. It would be a shame to miss it in my humble opinion!
It was a great show, energy was fine considering they dedicated the show to a friend (Just reading between the lines ) I think Jay and Scott had it going on with the Feral Roots songs . I almost bought tickets too but half the show would have been Greta Van Flop. No thanks.
@@g_schaafsma1020 Completely agree.... Jay has an incredible voice. There's so much passion at an RS gig - to say they are going through the motions is to not experience them. I for one am just waiting, waiting, waiting for 2023 dates to be announced. I will be at several I hope!
