Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the exit of Rulani Mokwena:
"The decision of Mamelodi Sundowns was taken by the Board taking into account the objectives and expectations of the Club and was not influenced or based on the recommendation of any individual associated with the Club."
Mamelodi Sundowns and head Rulani Mokwena are set to part ways ahead of the 2024/25 season due to a strained relationship with Sporting Director Flemming Berg over the style of play and transfer strategy.
Rulani Mokwena was not part of the arrivals at Chloorkop on Tuesday morning with the rest of the first-team. Manqoba Mngqithi is expected to oversee the squad for the start of pre-season as Masandawana look swiftly to replace Mokwena ahead of the new campaign.
