- Harriet Scott sat down with Magic Breakfast co-host Ronan Keating as he looks back at his time with Irish boyband Boyzone.
During the chat he reminisces about reflects on being in a boyband at such a young age, he recalls when Louis Walsh hyped up an emergency landing to the press, winning an Ivor Novello, touring with the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC and how the tragic death of bandmate Stephen Gately should have meant the end of the band for good.
He also talks us through some of Boyzone's hits including 'A Different Beat', 'Baby Can I Hold You', and 'Isn't It A Wonder'.

A good interviewer lets the guest speak...she did a great job. Can tell Ronan had a lot of memories to talk about and it was great, even a bit nostalgic to listen to.
Lot of fond Boyzone memories between their music and appearances in the past. (Will never forget the first time I watched them sing No Matter What with Andrew Lloyd Webber).

What a great interview! Ronan is so relaxed and really enjoyed reliving the 30 years on their amazing journey. 👏 👏 I really enjoy his songs and Boyzone songs as so many have over the years and still do! I loved the Pavarotti story😊
Grandma here just discovered these guys a week ago or so. I'm in love don't know why I didn't hear of them before when I was younger. But of course I'm in the United States. Everything I can find on boyzone I've been watching it's 2023. My step daddy came from Ireland County Mayo. My brother visit their their cousins are over there and every time they get a chance they go. I just love Roan Keaton and the guys.❤❤❤❤❤

Ich bin wohl die letzten Jahrzehnte mit Scheuklappen durch die "Musikwelt" gegangen. Ronan Keating habe ich bei 'The Voice' zum ersten Mal gesehen😮 und wahrgenommen. Er ist ein supersympathischer, toller Sänger, Tänzer und mit einer einzigartigen Stimme ein umwerfend gutaussehender Mann, der seinesgleichen sucht. Durch seine natürliche und emphatische, charmante Art, bin ich jetzt (lieber spät als nie😂) sein absoluter Fan❤❤❤.

That original solo recording of Father & Son that Ronan did is soooooooooo difficult to find. If i remember correctly it was used as the b-side to the 'Working My Way Back To You' single which was only released in Ireland.

it dissapoints me that ronan hates "so good" cause that along with "the going gets tough" and "picture of you" are among my favourite boyzone tracks. i think its excellent.
