    U need to put it on high & wait till the button comes up & then time it. Once u think the time is up leave it either to cool on its own & it will go down automatically or slowly release the steam & when all the steam is gone then safely open it.

      Yeah, I’ve got the hang of it now thankfully, but I do appreciate the tips 🙏🏻

    Thank you! This video saved me as I had this cooker without any manual whatsoever. Had to cook beef steak for 4.5 hours at low heat according to the recipe, and I managed to lower that down to 1 hour with this pressure cooker. The only issue was that I probably shouldn't have filled it with water up to the indicated maximum line, as at pressure release the steam actually sprayed out half of the water/ juice all around the place. 😅🤣 end result, the meat tasted amazing, and so did my kitchen, myself included.

      Hey my friend, I bought one of those electric pressure cookers and I was always petrified of that stove top one. I’m so glad I did. They cook food sooooo good. I love them.

    I recently purchased a tower pressure cooker and I was clueless, not great at reading instructions 🤣. Anyway stumbled on your video, it's been really helpful, thank you x

    Really useful (& entertaining & reassuring) video. Thank you. I came across it when googling for instructions for a second hand Tower stovetop pressure cooker. I've been nervous to use it, but watching your video has given me confidence to have go.

      I appreciate your comment, I’ve had so many negative comments on this, but I’ve never claimed to be Gordon Ramsey or an awesome cook, just me and my sis having fun and just trying something we’ve never used before, just like many many others. I genuinely love your comment. Thank you sooooooo much.

    I once cooked rice pudding in our pressure cooker when I was quite young (not far into double figures) and when I released the pressure valve it painted the kitchen with rice pudding! I don't think my parents were very happy....!

    I still don’t know wat do u mean to time it ?? The standard pressure cooker whistles for say 2-3 times we know it’s done … but that’s not the case with this one

  • @UkSkin
    @UkSkin Před 5 lety +4

    The amount of steam that's escaping and that you never got the "Squeak" sound makes me think you never got it up to pressure which is why things didn't cook in the expected time

    We have this pressure cooker and the instructions are confusing as hell and as clear as mud.
    I was pleased to see that you appeared every bit as clueless as we were.
    Not good because it is easy to scald yourself on kit like this. Ask yourselves - what idiot would design the knob that you have to turn by hand to actually vent the steam as well??? If you grab that and/or try and turn it whilst you are boiling something, you are going to acquire a very nasty burn. Tower should be taken to task over this idiotic design and their incomprehensible instructions!!!!!!

    Enjoyed this - not sure why you would lower the heat - its a pressure cooker - it needs heat. Not keen on the mechanism at the top.

    Can you explain how I would do a natural release compared to a quick release what is the difference?🫣

    • @HooverLux

      You just turn the stove off and leave the pot for an hour.
