    Well, Mr. Sage, I didn't realize the fiscal difference, but I've learned so much from your banter which always offers a little more than just twisting a balloon, like how to make very round eyes, Intellectual terminology and adjusting the finished product into something truly beautiful ... but mostly I just love you. As far as I'm concerned, you got it all, and I like to see it. I think you're so good in front of the camera that you could be a star!Plus I'm an old hippie that isn't particularly into that kind a techno music ...anyway...please keep in mind what got you famous. And no matter what you do, I'll support you, I'll continue to watch your videos and enjoy them. I'll just miss you a little bit .

      Well, that's very sweet, and your opinion is important to me. I do understand that a lot of the technical aspects become a bit subjective without constant instructional rhetoric, but to be completely transparent I must admit that it takes a lot out of me to do that style of tutorial. However, I have not abandoned my old way of doing things - I just knew that if I changed things to the way they are currently my audience would grow. I'm kind of thinking that elements of music and vocal instruction combined will be my new direction now that I've been able to learn many editing techniques that will make this hybrid style possible. About the music - I am seriously surprised that I don't get a wave of backlash because of it, and completely understand it is not to everyone's taste - although it definitely gives me energy while I'm filming. Regarding terminology, I came up with most of it, but I wasn't sure if it was catching on with twisters or not, as almost nobody ever really mentioned it in the comments. The more subscribers and views I get, the more money I make which all goes to buying more supplies to make more videos. I am working on three vids right now - Lucky Candy Cups, Tuxedo Penguin and 350 Seahorse Centerpiece. There will be monologuing in at least one of those, I promise. Thank you again for being so supportive from very early on.

      Anna J oh, 350s can be nightmarish - but you can get used to them. I know I had to to get that jumbo seahorse made. In fact, this 350 seahorse will be filmed at the beach as soon as it stops raining out here in California and should be out either Monday or Tuesday. I will likely be doing a series of jumbo balloon animals if this one goes well.

    • @callieoops3694
      @callieoops3694 Před 7 lety

      Balloon Sage I never thought about the styles much because I don't have much trouble following you. It helps on this style that you put the descriptions at bottom of screen when you don't speak. The music tends to get loud sometimes but I just turn volume down. I can understand that some find the speed twisting sections difficult but I got used to that with Chitwist, as well as not talking. If I have trouble watching one in this style, I just watch again. I also like when you talk it through. I am just grateful that you share! No complaints here--whatever makes you comfortable! Thanks!

      Hi Lisa! Yes, recently I have switched to a completely different format that no longer includes vocal instructions. I appreciate that you enjoyed my old content, but ever since I switched to this way of making videos, my views and subscriber count have skyrocketed. I understand how this style will not be to everyone's taste - and even I am surprised that you are only the 2nd person to tell me directly that you don't care for it, but I unfortunately have to go with majority rule in order to gain the largest audience. You are right in one respect - the older vids were much more personal and had more personality, so maybe I can go back to the old style here and there so I can make everyone happy. Thank you for your opinions, I will take them seriously.

    • @BalloonSage
      @BalloonSage  Před 7 lety +1

      Anna J hi! When I was first learning how to twist by watching CZcams tutorials, I was constantly rewinding videos to make sure I got every part down correctly. These vids are created with that in mind - because if I slow way down the video will be -as you said- long and boring, and then hardly anyone will watch them. I STILL pause and rewind vids if I am learning from someone else. All I know is that once I started heavily editing my videos , I got many more viewers, so I try to keep my tutorials as short as possible while still packing them full of information - whether in the form of visual demonstrations, text instructions or gesticulations. Of course, I am also always hear to answer questions about the video. Thanks so much for your thoughts and I'm glad you like the design.

      Balloon Sage I have watched videos from some that started talking real slow and stopped watching them. It does take a minute to get used to your new style, but I have to rewind on the long ones too and realize they leave out important detail. keep up the good work. I have been doing balloons since oh heck just realized the length of years. well lets just say since my daughter wanted a clown for her 6th birthday and she is 27 now. I am saying that to say I prefer to watch other peoples videos than to ever do my own.

    Great design. Terrible music. A spoken explanation is more useful.

      Haha, well, I have experimented both with spoken instructions, text instructions, and purely visual. My most watched videos are all music and text with no vocals, but I am very aware that this style is quite annoying to a section of my audience, so, for that, I apologize. Your username and picture make me want to go watch Futurama now. I really do appreciate honest criticism, so thank you.

      Sorry man I didn't mean to sound so rude. It is a great design and I have tried it out myself. I am a big fan of your work. I just feel i learn more listening to your spoken instructions with little helpful tips. However, as you say; other comments here definitely support your observation on the popularity of this video format lol
