Hi, Jake. It's actually other way around. You must switch to ground after crossing the hold short line unless otherwise instructed.

Radio communication video, but NO call to ground after exiting the active?
The tower controller explicitly cleared us to taxi to the restaurant. After clearing the runway, we mentioned monitoring the ground frequency.
