Recorded at Armstrong Studios in Melbourne. Produced by Peter Robinson and John Farrar from local group The Strangers. Farrar would go on to join the UK's Shadows for a short time, then write and produce many hits for Olivia Newton John, including hits from the film Grease.
I was born in 1950 so too young to go to see Jacques in the early 60s but she was very well known in Melbourne. I knew of her, and didnt know of Durham until she became famous. I always thought she (Jacques) could have replaced Durham when she quit The Seekers.
I was born in 1955 and I remember seeing her sing in Torquay (1963 I think) when my brother took me to see her. I loved it and she enjoyed having youngsters in the audience.
I paid $40 for a single by Judy. Worth every cent.

Judy Jacques is from the same jazz/gospel/folk music scene that spawned Judith Durham of The Seekers fame.
Thank you for that interesting snippet - amazing what you find out about these slightly lesser known artists...
