When I was little there were many tales of people disappearing in the trails to never be found again. Also if ovnis or ufos being seen a lot there. So I mostly saw things from the car when I visited with my family when i was little. Glad to see others showing all the beauty contained there.

this is not towards the person that’s doing the video, or the people that are visiting the island. I am just speaking, the truth. How is this the only rain forest in the United states of America. When Puerto Rico is not even a state that is a slap for the Puerto Ricans. This is upsetting to me because where I live, I am not accepted. I cannot live in any neighborhood without anybody calling the cops on me or anybody else of color. In Puerto Rico you see all types of skin colors and shades. You do not hear or see anybody getting killed or beaten for the color of their skin. l love Puerto Rico and the other Latin countries, we accept all shades, and we welcome, but it’s unfortunate. It’s not the same for us, it would be nice if everyone can get along and love one another and respect one another’s cultures. And yes, the island is beautiful, but is slowly being destroyed by cutting down so many trees and mangroves, it’s turning into a concrete jungle and it hurts me.

It odd, I heard news about Puerto Rico it quarantine and closing everything for tourists and local people in areas like that. I'm guessing, you must be learning and respecting Puerto Rico culture, it history and language. Locals tend to appreciate that a lot and respect people even more for that matter. It would be unfair for them, if you taking advantage of their land and/or using as your own profit and not learning nothing from their culture and traditions.

That nice, but it not enough just seen some architecture old building around the island. Learning deeper ground level of their history and culture with help you understand the locals and their hatred for certain things. I suggest you read this book called, Puerto Rico: An Interpretive History from Pre-Columbian Times to 1900 by Olga Jimenez de Wagenheim. Also this other book called, El Grito De Lares: Puerto Rico's Revolt for Independence, 1868 by Olga Jimenez de Wagenheim. They are both in English. www.amazon.com/dp/1558761225/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SLDgFb65VFCFS

I gave you the link for both of the books, I just mentioned above on where you can purchase them. You can read them while exploring the island. Then again, you have no idea how important is to learn this information for the locals here. Knowledge is like a garden; if it is not cultivated, it can't be harvested.

Thy Luda OMG! Ok. That would be great but why impose all of that on someone that’s appreciating the culture and the place. Ur suggestion Is great but I believe people learn when they become curious about a people on their own and all of that history always comes up at some point even in conversations and most definitely in the local media. Best to give room to people to become curious at their own pace. I would hate if I moved to a new country and someone is making me feel like I need to learn every nook and cranny of their history. Ez does it.

@@videowaves1801 I don't know why you jumping in into people conversations. I guess you neither, get yourself educated. If you move into a another country is because you found interest, curiosity, and appreciation about it. But you can't just leave there to understand people way of life and thinking, you have to know about it in a deeper level. You never get it, if you only look at pages superfacially and understand in one day how everything works. One thing for sure, every country is not America, meaning there different social norms and thinking in each country. There no call freedom like they do in America, that why it comes handy getting yourself educated and knowledgeable on where you decide to live. I'm guessing you are those type of people who signed a contract without reading, to later found out it not how you pictured it.

Thy Luda this is not a private conversation. U are posting on a public forum for all to read and comment if they wish. The only person who can decide about the comments here is the channels creator. Not sure why U take my commentary personally. U think people should have the curiosity to learn about a culture in depth and I say let it happen for her organically. Ur book suggestion is great. Maybe is not what u say but how u say it. I’m from The island and although I live in the states all my family lives here so many im on the phone with them daily and come here couple of times a year. So I am experienced living in PR and living in the states. The whole pride thing is great but not cool to impose it. Suggestions are great. That’s all I’m saying. I mean no disrespect.

O man... That pronunciation of El yunque lol. Also little tone deaf of a video when the reservation system is in place due to a global pandemic.... and not even mention that. Like this comes off as a blissful ignorant take... "The park is great w/o anyone!".... When that anyone is told to stay home while thousands die a day globally from a pretty preventable disease.

The reservation system is in response to the global pandemic, but it is an improvement on the overcrowded areas and full parking lots.
