Deni, From a distance it looks a great "big" handbag. It will hold a lot of stuff. I bet, phones, sunglasses,key's, wallet will still fall to the bottom of the bag never to be seen again. As a guy I can’t believe I’m making a comment about bags. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I really thought about MCM for the wife, but I might consider the Teddy Blake brand now. And their color options are great. And yes, the bottom peg is a must. Without it, I think it's a cost-saving for the company.

Buy the MCM, it will be much more impactful. Teddy Blake is not a well known brand, doesn’t have the wow factor. It’s a bag you’d buy if she specifically asks for it.
It’s a beautiful color and looks well made, but besides missing the feet, I like additional slide pockets inside the bag for additional organization. Hate rummaging around in the bottom of a bag trying to find a pen or my phone. Great review.

I just purchased the GiGi from Teddy Blake in light pink and the first thing I noticed was the fact that it did not have feet on the bottom I take very good care of my bags and I never put them on the floor but I do like to have feet on the bottom!
But this bag is Beautiful the leather is unbelievable I really love everything about it. The interior is so luscious and it has the shoulder strap. I am sure I will purchase another one I have a light blue small one that looks like the Hermes Kelly bag and I love it too

Hey Deni, totally agree with you about the feet. For the price of the bag it needs the feet! Also interesting way to get into the bag but I do not think I would ever use the tabs. Just too much of a pain to get into it quickly. 💖
I've ended up folding the top flap into the middle of the bag, and that's working for me. When I need to keep things really secure (like on an attraction), I'll close it all up as designed. And YES...feet please! ❤

Deni, great review! You slayed the handbag review! You really can do anything. I’m so happy that you are able to enjoy a great quality bag with no cost to you. That bag, by all means, should have feet! I personally, have not carried a leather bag in years, due to the heavy weight. I have been using my Longchamp Le Pliage as my only bag for years. It’s nylon, stylish and reasonably priced. I have it in a few colors and sizes.

So happy to see you today. I’ll watch anything you have to say. I love handbags to, also totes. Last time I went to London my sister and I found so many totes from the famous stores and museums and even the Buckingham Palace store (my fave). I couldn’t buy those super expensive too. I buy Dooney and Bourke cuz I love the quality on I Love Dooney best prices.

Beautiful bag and thank you for the introduction to this brand! I love a good handbag and every trip I'm torn between a leather bag in Italy or a D&B. I love the color of this one, but I think that clasp open/close would get on my nerves. There's lots of other choices on their site that do not have that clasp. Thanks!

Look at you, getting requests for reviews, you go girl. I agree about the feet, need them. I'm not a fan of that clasp, looked like way too much trouble getting open and closed. I'm a D&B gal, I own way too many and you can get one for less than that. I must own 10 D&B Disney purses, not big ones, just the little crossbody ones that you can put a cell phone, some cash, a small card wallet.

Nice cross body strap, but the boxy shape of the bag doesn't lend itself to long strap usage.

Fun review! Bag needs to be lined and definitely feet, that was one of my first thoughts, tooAlso, I don’t like the lack of pockets on the inside. The zipped compartment is a must, but need at least 2 more pockets on the opposite side, for a cell phone and sunglasses or lip gloss. And a pocket on the back of the bag, for a cellphone and ease of access. The bag looks a little too complicated to open, if my phone were to ring, by the time I got the bag open and rifled through the bag to find it, I’d probably miss the call. I don’t see it being equivalent to a $499 bag. It’s nice, I think a $109 price is more reasonable. Lose some of the excess packaging and drop the price! And I will pay a lot of money for a well made classic handbag, though I don’t do so on a regular basis. It is a pretty bag and for free, I’d definitely use it! Enjoyed the video, as always.

I'm folding the top flap into the middle of the bag, and it's super easy to get in and out of that way. When I need things to be secure, I'll take the time to use the flap. I love the way it looks, and I'm enjoying the large middle compartment. :)

The original (Jane Birkin) birkin bag was just a casual beach tote. It might even have been fabric or straw. A stuff it all into bag. Not intended to be luxe leather bag for mucho bucks. But that’s what it journeyed into. The rest is marketing/ oneupsmanship history. But it will never have the casual elan or panache of the original.
