He is so energetic, and just fun to listen to. He is so proud of the the things he has done and so proud of space he seems to love talking about it and the wonderful thing is that he never comes off as cocky or like he is bragging. Just a man with pride in himself and his accomplishments having a long and in depth but lighthearted conversation. But what struck me was that he seemed just as enthusiastic about talking about space stuff that didn't have to do with him specifically. Obviously most of his stuff referred back to himself...but for something like being an astronaut...it's not the most common thing so the only real thing you have to refer to is you and your own experience and I loved every single second.

this man inspires me to study and some day go into space
kiril Well said and that's a great goal to reach for.
This was probably the best episode of questions answered I've seen. Mr Hadfeild is an amazing soul, he's a very down to earth dude. Pun intended.
i see Chris Hadfield in the title i know its going to be awesome
A great charming guy!
Right in there with you buddy, saw Chris and liked before watching
This man is a human cultural/scientific icon. Space is for everyone, no nationality can claim space. Everyone is equal in space.
VegasStrongr in space not everyone is equal as the people outside are dead but otherwise yes
Yes and why there is dislikes on this?i meanthis man is amazing
He’s the astronaut version of Bob Ross. Prove me wrong.
Bob Ross was a painter🤦🏽♂️
TheAwesomePossum I know, but they have similar personalities! it’s cute 😋
Chris is a performer.....
Ok...? I think they just have the same amount of wholesomeness, and their personalities are similar. They have different jobs, yes, but they have cute lol personalities, that’s all i’m sayin.
@@gaydonaldtrump yeah. i know. they just give off the same vibes, that's why i said what i said. jeez.
This guy is hands down my favorite astronaut! He is super chill and he teaches me things while making me laugh 😂👍
The way he explained his first space walk brought tears to my eyes. Beautifully explained.
"In space, tears don't fall."

Sounds like something philosophical, but actually its just physics. 😁

Me: I only have an hour to write a 13 page paper...WELP I guess I only have 20 minutes to write a 13 page paper
You weren’t using it productively anyway.
what the heck I didnt realize this video was 40 minutes until now lol
I appreciate his genuine kindness and humility
I’ve watched this a few times. Great guy. Thanks for everything you’ve done, Commander
I love how he took a lot of the questions that were dumb and actually found a way to give a good answer to them. Such as “is Chris Hadfield okay?”
The people who asked about that were probably genuinely concerned, not a dumb question xD
That's not a dumb question, Dumb !!
That question really means if he suffered any side effects when he came back to earth. Dumb
How is wondering if someone is okay "stupid"? You dont care about many people i see.
@@heath9259 and even if it wasn't, it isn't dumb to ask someone if they're ok, that's really sweet
I love how he's so passionate about space exploration
This guy is so sweet and so cool, I bet he would inspire many. I could see him teaching stuff about space to kids.
Chris: "Good place; if you get a chance, live in Toronto."
Me: "Toronto is a good place. I will live in Toronto."
Covid: hippity hoppity stay off my property.
Also lived in Toronto, can confirm
Phunny Stuff Ottawa > Toronto
SensFan99 not according to Chris Hadfield. i trust him he’s got that world view
SensFan99 🇨🇦 > 🇺🇸
Needs to change his name to Chris Hadspace. As a farm boy he Hadfield, but as a man he went above and beyond.
Underrated comment. 😂👏
👏
He probably will, he briefly changed his name when he was 16-17 to Chris Hadsex. So it may very well still happen.
😂
Well this was a pun I enjoyed hearing. Good job man.
Yes, “clean your visor before a space walk” is definitely advice I will need and use in my life. Thank you for this crucial life lesson I couldn’t have lived without.
This man is precious. Protect him at all costs!
I could listen to this man talk for days
I'm sure his kids would disagree with you, especially when they were teenagers.

"I intercepted Soviet bombers off the coast of north America during the height of the Cold War" was not something I expected him to say
I laughed at first, thinking it was a joke, then realised he was serious and was so impressed
wonder how he communicated that without Nicolai next to him hearing.
Going right into the danger zone. Take a ride into the danger zone!
@@cachin366 he was born in 1959…
it's really not that uncommon. the soviets regularly flew bombers close to american airspace for reconnaissance or practice runs. So this sort of stuff happened all the time during the cold war.
He is hysterical and so relatable and personable! What a hero you are, Chris!!
This guy is just such a phenomenal educator. Thorough, personal, understandable answers that invokes a passion for science.
i feel so dumb and lazy, hearing him saying his life story
Ain't that the truth....
Well, think about it. his purpose for his whole life has been to be an astronaut. and that was his path. but even though that’s probably not your purpose, it doesn’t mean you’re dumb or lazy. you have a different path in life, and your reason for existence is probably very different. we’re all existing for a reason, and we all have different reasons for existence. and that’s okay.

@KingDuck Dodo lmao
This is so much better than I ever imagined it would be. Wow what a great video! He's so personable. I loved the format that let him speak without interruption.
I love Chris Hadfield, he's that one teacher I wish I had
He is one of the most humble man on earth. No wonder he is a Canadian.
I am portuguese and I still believe Canada is the best country in the world
Mr.Kenos thank you! We (well us good Canadians) love it here 🇨🇦❤️
And in space probably...
not always tho, sometimes he is the most humble man in space too
Most Canadians are so nice! (I said most cause there are always exception) I would like to say the same for us Americans but there is a more crappy to good ratio in Murica.... 😕

Hey so am I! Wonder if I'll ever run into him! I'd fangirl so much I'd definitely embarrass myself.
i thought when the "what did chris hadfield got famous for?" he will answer "because i do random stuff in space and record it" cause that's how i know him 💅
I could listen to him talk for hours, what an interesting man! So calmly charismatic.
40 minutes of Chris Hadfield?
I'm in.
True
@Chantip Chea is worth it
i'm so impressed with how he's able to explain these really complicated concepts into such easily digestible snippets of information. super cool guy!
Watch his Canadian Space Agency videos, they’re really great. I’ve showed everyone I know and all of them are hooked lmao
When me mentioned he got into Mensa I thought wow on top of it all, he's a genius!
I've always kinda thought that's how you can see a (really) smart person. Someone who can explain to anyone really difficult concepts and anyone could understand

"Remember, if you are doing a space walk, clean your visor really carefully"
Alright Chris, I'll remember that next time I'm in space.
