Thank you for this simple and step by step tutorial....I am doing a school PAT and I wanted to extend my app to android to make multi-platform support and to extend functionality...thank you so much..u deserve more subs
Hey! wherever I see, I find guys saying, you must use android studio for android apps, but I find Netbeans IDE more familiar, because I have been using it since I started. They say google supports android studio, I want to know, why should I care about it. Isn't playstore going to accept my app if I make it with netbeans. If so, please tell me. Thanks to read such a big comment.
Unable to connect to the NBAndroid because of Connection refused: connect Check your proxy settings or try again later. The server may be unavailable at the moment. You may also want to make sure that your firewall is not blocking network traffic. I came up with this error,, can you help me sir?
I did all the steps. when I opened a new android project there was an error. R package doesn't exist. I didn't type anything. It was just there. What's the problem ?
i'm using wiindows 7 32bit..and installed android studio..but it didnt worrk..bcz it required 64bit..now ii want to configure sdk to netbeans..will it work on 32bit??plz help
I actually don't know the details for that question. I'm pretty sure all of it is can be used for 32-bit Windows 7. You might need to find those older versions for Windows 7 32-bit
I have exact problems, my linux (kali) is 32 bit, but AS for linux is 64 bit. and they remove all support for linux AS 32 bit :-) My windows 7 (i'm dual boot) can install 32 bit, but It's gradle always saying error. So I'm going back to eclipse adt 2014.
am getting this error while updating android in netbeans : Unable to connect to the NBAndroid because of Address family not supported by protocol family: connect
Hello, I need some help, my processor is not intel, is amd and when a run my aplication just and simply stop run. and say this: Could not copy initial system partition image to real one: No space left on device emulator: WARNING: Classic qemu does not support SMP. +edocamoro I have not personally used genymotion. However, I did a quick search online for genymotion and netbeans. Here is one video: czcams.com/video/nVOYgvgAUmw/video.html
This is death by a thousand cuts. First, I installed an updated NB, 8.2 (was using 7.2) and installed the NBAndroid add on. I went to the android sdk website and went ahead and installed Android Studio and went into it and found where IT was indicating its Android SDK was and I gave that location to Netbeans. I went ahead and create an empty Android project and tried to compile it, but my build.xml was empty, and nothing was happening. So then I downloaded the same hippofile Android SDK that you do in the video and pointed NB to it, and suddenly, it would start to execute a build. But the build would fail giving an error " java.lang.InternalError: Could not obtain X500Principal access" etc. Which I Googled and saw someone's message indicating that it was a problem new to NB 8.2 and didn't happend in NB 8.1. I tried then installing the plug in in NB 7.2. and did everything and went to build the blank app and got this " cannot access android.app.Activity bad class file: android\app\Activity.class(android\app:Activity.class) class file has wrong version 52.0, should be 50.0" Also, when I attempted to set up and run a virtual device, I got this error: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration! So I think I'll be checking out Android Studio.
I actually got it all to run in NB 7.2! I downloaded a simple Android project from Android in Action from the Manning website, put it into a NB project and got it to Build and Run, bringing up an emulated Google Nexus 6 (I couldn't get anything to work selecting an Android later than 6.0). However, the App is not on the App screen of the emulator. The emulator has maps, calculator, etc, but not the app I downloaded and built on its apps screen. Am I skipping a step?
Yea good question. I remember when Android Studio really took over. It's a nice tool I used. developer.android.com/studio/ I believe it's made by Google itself.
I actually downloaded android studio before i watch this video XD but i thought maybe there's something easier. Now I really have to learn how to use it. Thank you so much ^^
thanks , but it seems to reinstall the full netbeans with nbandroid :/ Plus it try to install suspicious app after clicking the link, and false errors..etc its a clickbait Im scared AF... :) @@CodyHelscel

What is the alternative now?
Thanks a lot for you video, it was helpfull for me.
If the android studio has alredy installed the sdk is it neccesary to go through the sdk installation manager.your response will be highly favourable.
Yea because you have to select which android package you want to use or install.
Thanks a lot bro for this video

Yep I started using Android Studio as well. Back when I made the video, I felt that Android Studio wasn't yet ready for me.
