12:47 Respect for patience and perseverance! Great job!👍
Great modification, my friend.. and thank you for your patience in winding the engine for the third time without getting bored. Stay well 👌💪😊
This video is inspiring cause he is sharing with us the failures…. Which is more educational than first time right and glossy easy video
Love this guy! He's an inspiration to us all, retrofitting tools and giving 2nd life to them instead of throwing stuff away.
If you can make a small fan at the original battery holder to cooler the motor that will be much better for long time
@@gear_show Today i had seen again the video you restored this drill and i think i have the right answer
The output you made in old video was thoughout the BMS maximum current of the BMS was only 20A but the starter current need more than so if the drill is original you can try to solder the wire output not thoughout the BMS i think it will be worked
"He Is a Man of Focus, Commitment and Sheer F*****g Will"
That's the coolest cordless drill I have ever seen!
Very Nice ..patience and not giving up ..salute for this man...well done bro ...from 🇵🇭
Kudos for including the failed attempts. End result shows how it it's worth it to keep trying until you succeed!
Like watching your videos like the recycling of broken worn out things into useful again your knowledge and skills are. high I have learned a lot watching you keep it up 🙂
Best video ever. Made the mistakes, show them and fix them. Congratulations!
No matter how many failures, if your confidence is restored, you will succeed
Ngl your channel is the reason I've gotten into collecting and attempting to repair old tools. Though I nowhere near your level of expertise and experience
I've never gonna have such thing to convert but I have watched it all the way
Great job! Have to wonder if those mosfets will hang on over time with the increased voltage.
great vid, even better that you showed up the problems you had along the way
Great job, thank you brother. You are so talented
A very great job, one of the best things I watch is your content, my friend.❤❤❤❤
Great Job!
I wondered how you might deal with the battery, since it never was on the bottom of the grip.... I like the support bracket. Kind of looks like a handgun from a videogame called Borderlands 2......
Obviously there is great benefit to using the same Makita 18v battery packs you have all over your shop... But for a little drill like this, it might have been simpler just to put 2 18650 cells together, make a new 7.2 volt (ish) pack, and run it that way???? You could have done that, you clearly have the expertise.... Just wondering.
Either way, great job Sir.
I think it best to keep original motor and convert to 2s Li-Ion (8.4v). Will the trigger switch be ok for 18v. Usually a 7.2v drill will only have a 12v rated trigger switch.
Excellent channel, thank you and I hope for more restoration of Tor Light u
Great job!! you should make a video of your tool collection
Lo felicito por no rendirse. Excelente!!!
Perfect way to learn by practicing ❤️👍
Would have loved to see the old battery compartment turned in to a replacement bit storage
Great video! What's the electric screwdriver you use?
Good job! it may have taken several tries but all in all good job on the drill and the motor, the old battery case would make a great bit storage container.
Great stuff, maby use that old battery compartment to use an extraction fan to cool it off. 🤣🤣
Very impressive
Akhirnya q tunggu muncul juga video y tambah kapasitas besar. Trimakasih banyak
💪 you will finally did it!!!
thanks for the shou fails! its good lesson for me and other!
Brawo Ty 😎
Great job
Good job. I like your video
Amazing, very clever
I have an old Snap-on drill that I love but is the old NIC battery and brush motor is there anyway to send over to you to modify the battery packs and convert to brushless motor?
Excellent sir
Selalu seru nyimak restorasi powertools
can you make a video on setup tour
As they say, third time lucky hey lol nice one 👍🏻👍🏻
good job
Amazing job ❤️❤️❤️您非常厉害❤️❤️❤️Mr gear show ❤️❤️❤️can’t wait for ur next coming video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi, I have a question. Just like in this video, I got 18v by connecting 5 batteries in series, but I don't know how to charge this battery with a charger. 18v - 18,5v - 21v which one should I use?
Any link to that batery adapter that are used on several videos?
Gerçekten de Show yapıyorsun sen bir harikasın
Another great video.
I think with 0,5 mm dia copper not enought for long time life.As you know 1 mm2 dia copper can carry 8 ampere (D.C)
So 4x18=72 WattI don't know just watt to tork value calcuations but I know this fan colling to armature very important for efficieny and long motor life .you can use maybe you can add a current limiter circuit to old battery section .If you want
you have great patience .Actualy this is show me patience must be for good referbushing
Meanwhile you can make a slot for bits to add metal section (to trigger's cross area plastic drill holders or magnets)
Great video Congrulations
Olfa, lobster, Makita I see there. Some quality japanese tools.
Isn't nail lacquer made of nitrocellulose? Basically the stuff gun powder is made of?
Guy: You can't plug that battery model into that drill.
Gear Show: Hold my beer, newbie.
Very Good Thanks Sir.
Try cleaning the armature of the dynamo, usually a lot of charcoal powder gets stuck between the coppers
Could you make a cordless scroll saw?
Thumbs up, we all learn from our mistakes,
Where can I get a pulley puller like that ?
is the balance that's off or to many anp's?
I'll just stop at Home Depot lol. But good work!
I don't know about this one. Seems you had to lean into it pretty hard. Otherwise, another great video. Thanks!
I love the armature rebuild;
Question;
The magnets for the 7.x volt are likely stronger and the new voltage would need weaker magnets?
I guess; I would need to know the ohms of the original armature vs the newly rewired one.
Magnets do matter.
The push/pull strength? i.e. ebb/flow ?
Anyhow.
I love your channel; you've inspired me to rebuild several battery packs to bring old tools new life!
I think the voltage depends on the armature coil, not the permanent magnet. I'm glad that you find something from this channel.
How to calculate wire size and turns?
i thought you would somehow put a cooling fan in the area of old battery but anyway that small motor may not need a fan
That Good...!!!
Thinking Congratulations 👏👏👏
My friend mentioned "Why don't you build a voltage converter in the back slot if you plan to put a battery in the bottom."
Is this a old AEG drill ?
😃amazing's‼️
Nice
That one engine was a stubborn one. Rewinding over and over must've taken some time. Cheers for not giving up, this driver/drill looks amazing - like some star trek future stuff. Great work!
