MANY THANKS!!
I am a man from Iceland 74 of age. I know the music of Beethoven and have for a long time. A well known Icelandic author said once: ''If you lack courage then listen to Beethoven''. That is exactly what I am doing now. There is a problem in my family in the wake of my oldest
sister´s death. She had ill health all her life and never married or had children. I took care of her the last years of her life. Some disputes have come up regarding her estate. My youngest sister is not behaving well now. So I turn to Beethoven to gain courage to deal with the situation and it works. God bless the memory of Beethoven. I visited his grave in Vienna more than 20 years ago and laid some flowers.
Y'm a widow wóman here in Montevideo all my life, Y realy know your feelings very weell. Berthoven gave me strengh, Bach and Mozar, peace, and joy of life. Y have a son who wenta way since 2014 and don't know where is now. But you and Y must go on
.
Good luck Eirin.
Have courage! I am Italian, 62 years old. My mother died of Covid. I am still mourning. Three things are helping me: the love of my family, many readings about your wonderful country, Iceland... and classical music!
@@TheScoubidouSmile Thank you Andrea and please accept my condolences. Your country Italia is one of the best in the world as far as I know. I was there last in 2018. Take care of yourself and remember Beethoven. He can be a bit tough at times that gives you courage. I think I love Mozart a little bit more than B, and of course the Italian Renaissance.
As a lonely man, I can feel Beethoven music touch my soul. Thank you master, for this magnificent gift to humanity.
Please, don't be lonely!. Please take some advice from one who has been there. The cure for loneliness is to find something you love to do, then join others that love to do the things you love to do. All the best!
@@katiedaniels3997 Or find something you love to do, and love it so much, you don't need other people.
@@tomasaguirre1764 Excellent point.
Loneliness can be beneficial
I’m a loner and I’m never lonely. Being alone is relaxing.
I had the incredible honour of attending a concert in the Moscow Conservatory of Music about 20 years ago when Russian pianist Boris Berezovsky played all five the Beethoven piano concertos chronologically in ONE concert, without the scores. One of the greatest events in my life.
Without the score ?? Wow !!
What an absolute pleasure that must have been.
How I wish and love to attend concerts, but to no avail.. Financial is one hindrance.. I am from the Philippines!! This kind of music , when am alone, enters into my heart n soul..I am now a senior citizen, in the twilight of my years!! I really love this kind of music, from Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaivovsky, Chopin et al.... God bless us all. Keep safe from Covid 19!!
Cuántos compuso ? Gracias

The older I get, the more astounded I become that one mind, Beethoven's soul was capable of creating such incredible beauty.
I can't comprehend it all! It's mind boggling
I totally agree, it's more awe inspiring every time I listen to each piece that Beethoven wrote.
He truly is the GOAT
Because he experienced incredible pain.
Watch the movie “Immortal Beloved” and you be even more enthralled!
Ok can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that this person didn’t put any ads on a 10 hour video?
I'm seeing ads between each of the concerti. It's not terrible, though.
Yes, me too.
The "Emperor" is my all time favourite. Beethoven is the master of all music ever written.
Beethoven is my music maker! He's such a gifted talent--a gift to mankind!
i play this magnificent Beethoven concertos every night. I would never have enough of it.
How'd you get introduced to Beethoven and/or how long have you been listening?
When I try and rank the Piano Concertos out there, Beethoven takes two of the top three. Brahms's second takes the second spot, sandwiched between Beethoven's 5th and 4th at 1 at 3. Just my opinion, I know, but it's an honest one. Beethoven was just an incredible composer. Amazing.
I can keep listening to these pieces non-stop.
What's high tone tune instlement?? Didn't suit for Beethoven. Around over 20 min.
Too bad we couldn't celebrate Beethoven's 250th birthday in style in 2020. But who else wants the man to be celebrated throughout 2021, or whenever Covid is finally managed and we can go to live concerts again?
Patricia Pronto
Yes I agree Covid kinda robbed the public of such a majestic splendour celebration that could have been for Beethoven's 250 th 💞
So yes let's have an extended celebration of Beethoven as
I agree like in the UK now Covid is settling down somewhat
and cases have dropped considerably and as follows in other consequtive countries 💞
Yes, I had tickets with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2020. I was so excited about the Beethoven birthday celebration line up. I dearly miss the orchestra and all the beautiful music in the great concert hall. I hope that we can enjoy it again soon. Virtual concerts just aren't the same. I'm sure the musicians and conductor misses their audience.
You're right let's definitely have some type of celebration belated as it may be for Beethoven's 250th I mean imagine that he's influence more people now with his music than ever of course there's more people now is recordings now I like the the one reply that said can you imagine being in the audience the first time they told him symphony no I can't I would like to be in the office in the audience when you played the first second and third Lyrica no not Lyrica not Lyrica eureka okay forget it the 3rd piano concerto hero concerto anyway oh by the way all the stuff that I'm talking about my sources listen to kusc they give so many great dark toys like one Beethoven was you wasn't riding the 5th at the moment he was at his brother's house when Napoleon had was bombing Vienna and as I understand it him and his brother went downtown downstairs yeah to the basement I guess and Beethoven crossed out the word Napoleon that was on top of the the score that's what he was going to call it and then she called it emperor so Napoleon while you were in my estimation military genius you're also a little nuts wanting to control them all of Europe I mean Francis powerful and still don't understand why what was you know why you wrecked your army in Russia game froze the army as I understand it anyway Beethoven's wonderful
Feliz ellisima
Nobody is born a genius. They work harder than their peers and are fanatical in their desire ..
HOW TRUE!
They have been given a gift...but they must discover and develop it. Some are just compelled from the beginning, even with the most difficult surroundings.
I disagree. Mozart was most certainly born a genius. it manifested itself when he was four years old. He did work hard to learn and compose music but there is no doubt that his DNA was extraordinary. The same can be said, but to a less extreme extent, about Mendelssohn and others.
That Concerto #2 is heavenly.
Ikr, so underrated.
Thank you CZcams for bringing us the most beautiful pieces of music....! I can't have enough during this sad and difficult time.
The best choice to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic apart with the vaccine , is to listen to classic music like Beethoven ,Brahms ,Chopin ,Mozart and Rachmaninoff. in ISRAEL we are lucky that most of the people are vaccinated .
The best Concertos Ever....Long Live Beethoven... Legends never die.✌️✨
My favorite of Bee's 5 piano concertos.
it's like music from heaven.....fantastic
Magnificent. Tis is a recording you want to look yourself away from any distraction and let the sound waves take over your whole being. Pure Bliss. Thank You Haledon & CZcams for the pleasure of this Masterwork by Composer, Musicians, Conductor & Recording Artist. Marten Heinrich Rehders.
I cannot decide which is my favourite piano concerto . All 5 are wonderful. Just wish I could hear them live.
How'd you get introduced to Beethoven and/or how long have you been listening?
The Emperor, No 5, is in my opinion the greatest piano concero of all. The only one that comes close is his 4th.
It incredible and absolutely amazing how his brain could work it all out and write it down for all to hear.
I have been listening to Beethoven most of my life especially when I had piano lessons at school. I managed Grade 4 but college came along and my “party piece “ was Moonlight Sonata “as well as more modern pieces. Having listened to the 5 piano concertos now that I have retired from teaching (not music) the Emperor is my favourite.
“
Emperor concerto is my favourite even just for the second movement alone. One of the most, if not the most sublime and spiritual music created. A timeless masterpiece of masterpieces.
Some of the best works ever written!
Cover is Beethoven's statue in Vienna. Nice but his greatest monument is his music. Through it he'll live forever and enrich us all.
As long as there is humanity on this planet! Forever!
I am forever grateful for the Romantic composers, performers, and artists who helped merge my music into the standard repertoire.
Germany and Holland gave us Beethoven. God bless these two nations for this precious gift.

Genau gesagt; EINE GOETTLICHE MUSIK!!!

Concerto number five.. HIS BEST!
Not only his best, but the best piano concerto ever written by anybody, and I doubt if it will ever be equalled in future.
You are so correct with that statement sir. It is truly magnificent.

To me, Mr Beethoven is a "GENIUS"...my parents introducted me to him at a young age...probably when conceived Ja Ja Ja, since then, I developed a Feeling for this man, it changed My Life. I Feel & Enjoy Every Single Note to the fullest...with so much Pleasure... I'm in Loved with a Legend. He gives Peace and Harmony to my Soul...God Bless Beethoven
Sublime y encantador. Sus composiciones siempre llenas de emoción.
Thank you Halidon for another listening treat. Beethoven no less!
When the music stops ........ the melody lingers on. What lovely music !!!!!
Hi Jagdeep, if you'd like to listen to more Beethoeven we just uploaded the complete collection of his symphonies 🎵 You can find it here: czcams.com/video/sDn-aK71Cp4/video.html
Beethoven was a master and I always love hearing every concerto as well as play them!
Yes he was the master of every concerto
Ludwig Van Beethoven: gods gift to mankind!
Great! Love it!
Music like this keeps me enjoying life. Thank you. ❤
Yes, Amen
This is a strange yet interesting recording, very heavy sounding piano at times, and it does sound like the orchestra is in another room! Wonderful music nonetheless from the master, I listened to every concerto back to back and enjoyed it all, thank you.
The piano sounds very bright (at times brittle sounding) in all these recordings by Italian pianists. I bet they were playing European made pianos, i.e., not Steinway grands. I agree with you the orchestra often sounds distant and does not blend well with piano (to my ear).
@@ventepap2779 What does it matter how old (or young) the listener is! Anyone can have an opinion.

Gracias.
Beethoven eterno.
I would love to meet beethoven he was insanely special superhuman being. Plus his music was my sole inspiration to become a pianist and now all I play is all his lovely music. He was so ahead of his time, his style had some crazy modern chord progressions.
I love classical music and it has added such rich dimensions to my life. I'm not near where I would like to be in being able to enjoy music more fully, however, at this point Beethoven is the exclamation mark for me. I have just discovered his triple concerto. I'm wishing all orchestras would play it using their first cellists, first violinists and pianist. Guest artists aren't even necessary as it is too expensive to play this piece bringing in three performers.
I just discovered the triple concerto, too, after 65 years listening to classical music. What a joy it is!
Amen
Couldn't be better! Gracias Halidon Music. 🙏✨
THE EVERLASTING CONCEPT OF WHAT MUSIC MEANS. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
It can't be. Beethoven was white which means he's systemically racist. We need to destroy all that slave lovin' statue buildin' music and just make one all inclusive song that can't possibly upset one person, or 1/5 of a person.
Wonderful..Lugwig Van Beethoven.
This is amazing!

Thank you so much. I'll enjoy the music.
I grew up surrounded by classical music - Beethoven, Bach, Purcell, Schubert, Mendelssohn... something for which I am eternally grateful to my my parents, especially my mother. Classical deserves to be far more widely known and disseminated: when I hear that the Proms are now going to include 'house' music, rap and so on I despair! Still, at least all genres of serious music from plainsong to Birtwhistle are now available online which is definitely a move in the right direction.
Some oldschool rap is just poetry over a instrumental. There is nothing bad about quality lyricism.
The BBC and the arts community have always done this : with time and a little luck, the Proms will soon get over this faddish conduct and revert to bringing the incomparable gifts of classical music to their supporters.
@@samdobie6748 Usually, I find it to be pretty bad poetry. Not always, Nothing is Always.
@@garyguyton7373 Give Dance With The Devil - Immortal Technique a listen. Dark story, but impressive storytelling imo.
Also Thieves in the Night - Blackstar is good lyricism, especially Mos Def's verse starting at around 1:20
@@samdobie6748 I'll do that. My daughter and her husband are Rap/modern popular music fans. they've made several suggestions they thought I'd enjoy, and they were right more than once. I retaliated with some classical selections, short works, and they no longer sneer at classical music. Bach's Air, Beethoven's, Fur Elise, Barber's Adagio. They liked all three.
Beautiful!
My soul music today. Thank you.
Stupenda e dolcissima musica molto rilassante , bellissima grazie
Just brilliant!
The recording is absolutely different from any other I had listened before!!! But sincerely I love it. All instruments in the orchestra can be heard much more than generally, but that is why make the sound also much more interesting. Great, whatever, great. Thanks for posting

Também amo esse concerto. O segundo movimento é lindíssimo!!
I don't know but this one calms me so much
This concerto has also been a refuge for me. Among it's many other practical uses, it is useful to play on the stereo in the limousines on the way from picking up at the airport.
The instrument in EMPEROR has a very special sonority which I had not listened since Wilhelm Kemp in 1960. I think also that the recording has a lot to do. And the soloist does the rest. Awesome!!! Besides all sections are very clearly heard, mainly the wood winds as if they were antique. So, so special!!!
I do so agree Alvaro, I thought it was SO special. x
