1 Lakh + Views
Rarely do you see Harsha Bhogle remembering anecdotes from his own life, today is just that day. He shares about the time in the commentary box with Ian Bishop where he bid Sahin Tendulkar adieu, Pre - Doordarshan cricket coverage in India, and how Tony Greig made Sachin larger than life in 1998 Desert Storm.

GK ji, Why don't you have some Insta Live with All the commentator/ Analyst from Cricbuzz team Say 1hr each and you will have good content and stories from them. I think this series 22 yarns is very Small in time. If this was a half/hour each it would be different.
I understand there could be different Mechanics of arranging them F2F and hence I feel in COVID19 Time we can do this via video and more longer So it will bring more revenue from more stories from the experts. Then if you wish there could be full episode and small bit portion as we do for Cricbuzz Analysis during the Cricket Match.
I am a big fan of cricbuzz and their expert as it is a very different perspective of the game which could be used as well in Corporate culture.
Can you please share the whole episode.. have gone through this episode on Spotify multiple times
4:19.
Seriously the whole video is really interesting it's great to hear more of these 😊
I already heard this episode in Spotify..
It's outstanding....I can give entire life to listen about cricket through Harsha bhogle sir
You can always see the spark in Harsha's eyes when he talks about sir Ian. You can see it's genuine.
agreed
Sir?
Something which no one talks about SRT's last dismissal was Darren Sammy not celebrating, Even if he would have celebrated no one would have held it against him, but he chose not to. What a man! ❤️❤️
Darren Sammy seems to be such a good guy. Always liked him. Hate to see him in this 'kalu' contraversy.
@@gauravgandi1398 and then some of our indian cricketers thought calling him "kalu" is cool
Well, but he's unnecessarily playing victim card. And insulting the country that give him a good living. Nice way to get attention. Unacceptable to anyone who insults INDIA!
Rajvansh Chauhan dude, why don’t you just acknowledge that the word is wrong ? Is it that difficult for you to say ? That Indians don’t have any bad things about them ??? Just be honest
That test was only about one man Sachin Tendulkar...! He's treated like a birthday kid.
Harsha's commentary made us more emotional. We all cried along with Sachin that day.
we sure did
thats the day many retired from cricket...now its all IPL IPL
I could just sit and listen to Harsha Bhogle all day long. His passion for the game, his witty replies, his deep analysis, and most importantly, his articulation just sets him apart. Above all, he just comes across as such a nice human being. More power to you sir. 🙌
Ian Bishop - a great analyst! And a respectable ambassador for the sport!
agreed!
"Saachheeen Tendulkarrr !!! "... Indeed Tony Greg made the Sharjah innings a larger than life event.
agreed!
This is not true. It’s sachin’s performance that brought out that commentary from Greig. Sachin was always larger than life.
Sachin Tendulkar wants to win this Match !
That was Gold Commentary !!
RIP Tony Greig
Ohh Ohh yess......what a player....what a wonderful player....they are dancing in the isles in sharjah.....
it was indeed :)
Many times Sachin fought the battle alone
Sachin is the name that features in almost every video of harsha.. This shows his love FOR THE MASTER... MY HERO #GOAT.. SRT ❤️
true!

Damn, Harsha Bhogle's voice is literally music to the ears 🥰
agreed!
Sachin's retirement made almost every Cricket fan emotional.
Truly a LEGEND.
yes it did
5:32 Ian Bishop putting his microphone down ... Harsha takes over ... SRT farewell... goosebumps even today
absolutely!
Do you know where I can see Harsha's commentary on Sachin farewell?
All of a sudden, Harsha sir is all over my entire YT feed. Numerous podcasts, interviews, IG lives, what not.
Harsha Sir is a gem of a person !
we agree!
The day Harsha bows out of his job, cricket will lose its glamour.
hope it not anytime soon
Cricket will lose its voice
A third world sport like cricket never had any glamour in the first place 😂😂
Praying to God. He should retire then and sleep in his home
True
Ian Chappell might sound rude and snooty. But his analysis is always spot on!
Well he has a thing for underarm bowling as well 😀
@@sakshambhardwaj4528 Get your facts right that was Greg Chappell the captain and Trevor Chappell the bowler. There was no Ian Chappell in that match.
@@sakshambhardwaj4528 It is well documented that Ian criticised his brother, Greg for that incident.
Saksham Bhardwaj Wrong!!! It’s Greg Chappell
Ian Chappell as a commentator knows how to keep a spectator glued to the TV by forecasting, predicting and suggesting how the cricketer or captain should go about in that session
agreed
Stood so close to TV on that day and tears were rolling from my eyes during the time the players were forming the guard of honor till he reached the boundary line.. Didn't had food that day..He made India cry emotionally..🥺
This is so good, Legend ( Harsha ) talking about another legend ( Sachin ) . Harsha's commentary is like a poem that i can listen for the rest of my life !
Absolutely!
Harsha is a master in an art of articulation.
His words flow butterly with time.
absolutely
I remember reading on his or someone else's twitter page later that day that he thought the better place to be was at the presentation where Shastri eventually interviewed Sachin. Since the producer insisted, Harsha "settled" for the commentary of the walk. He only later realised how big an impact that piece had made on the public. It was Sachin's day, his home, his fans, his farewell, and Harsha managed to share a piece of the moment. That's class. Also class was the producer who knew what was right. Guess that is professionalism in a nutshell!
super
Wow. This blew me way! And I am glad that it panned out that way. Harsha in the box made more sense... Wow! Thoughtful of the producer.
Harsha Bhogle is real Gentleman ❤

What a Era.....
Look at gourav's face
Thanks for sharing!
Gaurav sir...these podcasts are simply awesome, I like not only the way you present, interact and conduct the show but also the content and the topic you select with all the respective guests...awesome...hooked on to the 22 yarns...and by the way a great name !!!
Tom alter.... Multi talented legend. ...rip
I remember him roasting few liberals in a meeting. He was sensational.
absolutely
I always think that, If Cricket has any language then Harsha sir is Masterpiece of it. He sounds so relatable that's his biggest strength .... Voice is bliss to ears , soothing to listen , Just Love this Man! ❤️
The only time I cried while watching something on TV.
that's makes a lot of us
Ian Bishop is very Humble and kind gentleman ever played the Cricket... Salute Him.. And thanks to OakTree bringing such wonderful moments and Talk with legends of the game..
The phone ringing when it’s out back on at Sachin’s place. Classic 😊
What an intelligent personality!! He's one those you cannot dislike, the incident he recalled giving money back to Ajit for the pics he sent speaks volumes about his personal integrity, he is perhaps the Rahul Dravid of commentary. As someone said rightly, if you don't get along with Dravid, you need a treatment.
100% agree
Gaurav sitting there and thinking "God! I've got so much more to learn about this art" ;-)
No one better than Harsha Bhogle, the golden voice of cricket, to bid farewell to the LEGEND.
#Enchanted
Just listening to a Genius...talking about Genius! *Goosebumps*
yeah righht
Harsha sir is such a treasure trove of knowledge, information, moments, experiences, anecdotes and the way he elucidates all that in such an eloquent manner. Aah! A legend.
I dont even remember Harsha's commentary. All I was watching was the crowd reaction and West Indies gracious behavior.
But the most emotional moment was the lonely moment when Sachin went to the pitch and touched it.
Also when a section of fans chanted "Sachin Sachin" and Sachin stopped them so he could continue
Man ! The voice of cricket ! Whatever he speaks it's sounds so soothing that cricket gets another add on like the cherry on the cake 🤞
absolutely!!
One of the greatest orater about the game and people's related to it
Always love to listen him
same!
It's always nice to hear Harsha.
Agreed!
Goshhh I still remember that day very well😍... I was travelling in the bus for pune while following the test match. And by the time SRT's speech came I was already in tears😭. Deservedly the GOD OF CRICKET ♥️... #SACHINNNN SACHINNNN
oh wow
Best commentator ever as he brings the emotions to the game and sachin farewell commentry was a pleasure to hear♥️
Sachin got a big farewell in 2013 and there was a lot of outpouring of love and emotion when he walked away from the game, but I feel sad but admire players like Laxman and Dravid who when they realised there was nothing to offer as a player and quit after Aus 2011 tour and let the likes of Pujara and Rahane settle in.
So true... both of them didnt got the end that they truly deserve...
Actually on field sare format me sabko nhi mila farewell sachin didn't got in odi dravid, laxman didn't got in both Ganguly and kumble also not got farewell in odi farewell
What voice modulation and delivery....Harsha ....hats off...You And Ravi bhai always I hav a deep admiration..
Just waiting for it 😍
Who cried after watching Sachin's farwell???
Who didn't
All cricket fans across the globe..
we did
exactly
I cried for 2 days literally...still tears in eyes while writing this...no words to express the pain 😔
Cricket and Harsha's commentary is a jugalbandi for cricket lovers...
😍😍😍😍😍😍
I can still remember Harsha and Ambati Rayudu greeting each other in telugu during one of the post match conversations.
You left out the best part of the story! About how Ian Bishop got to say perhaps the 3 most memorable words in the history of West Indies Cricket.
"Remember the name!" is a great soundtrack, amongst all the others from Ian Bishop
Where can I watch full podcasts?
More than Benaud, it was Bill Lawry who was absolutely fantastic.
So insightful
Cried that day, cried today just watching this.
One nice guy Harsha Bhogle is calling another one "the" nice guy Ian Bishop because that's what heros do. 😇
Always fascinating to hear this man
Harsha always talk e Deep respect, And thats why i love his commentary so much
Absolute joy to hear these stories for a Cricket fan...
we love sharing these
5:45 I see why it was cut after this. Maybe that was reason for uploading whole video.
You just can't get tired of and from listening about SRT. It get's even better in Harsha's voice.
Harsha sir is immensely talented. What an inspiration.I want to meet you someday sir❤❤
The legendary voice of harsha bhogle gives me goosebumps 😍

Wish Spotify had video. Eitherway content is king.

*HARSHA WHO HAS BEEN SO CLOSE TO SACHIN, TODAY CAN'T DECIDE BETWEEN SACHIN & KOHLI SAYS "RECENT YEARS OF VIRAT HAVE BEEN AS GOOD AS SACHIN AT PEAK. AND SAYS THE WAY VIRAT HAS PLAYED ALL FORMATS IS SOMETHING UNBELIEVABLE." I PERSONALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN COMPARING ERAS. THIS TELLS THE RESPECT KOHLI HAS EARNED. KING.* 👑👑
Virat Kohli is highly overrated guy
Harsha used to be straight forward guy
But now he learnt to be diplomatic
Kohli is no way near to many batsmen
@@navnathkokane4073 what makes you say that Virat is overrated?
Harsha bhogle is a very humble man & never refuses selfies, autographs etc.
Harsha Bhogle has been such a huge figure in Indian sports media that, in an era when people would think nothing apart from the mainstream career choices, he made so Indians consider sports presenting as career! There will never be another Harsha Bhogle.
A pen in the pocket. Now that's proper old school gentleman :)
yes!
the sound on this video is really gripping and Harsha speaking is actually enhancing the experience..
Pure genuis
No one can be as articulate as harsha bhogle when it comes to expressing cricketing thoughts.
Its great...

Nice video.
I want my life to be narrated by Harsha Bhogle ❤
