- Salutations! So the newest Theorist channel Style Theory launched a little while back, and I happen to not be a fan of it. Here's why.

6:00 I wish the fashion industry was slow. There are 8 major fashion weeks (New York, London, Milan, and Paris), meaning major brands are expected to put out a Spring Summer collection and a separate Fall Winter Collection. However, when you throw in Ready to Wear, Contour, Resort, Swim, Lingerie, etc... Plus smaller, still important fashion weeks... and the final collections from students at major schools... plus all the brands that show offseason... "Fashion week" is ironically closer to 45 weeks out of the year. Not to mention, brands have mainlines and sub-labels that sometimes each show separately. OMG, and then the collaborations Comme Des Garćon did roughly 15 this year alone. Creative directors moving, brands are popping up out of thin air, new textiles, microtrends, macrotrends interviews, hundreds of references within individual collections, and brand history/archival knowledge... I AM HYPERVENTILATING from all the content required to keep up with fashion.
It...should...have....been......BOOK THEORY!
I'm the same way about how I feel about my clothing, and I feel like he could've caused some serious hype with the comperacy theory idea.
Also, I LOVED the gravity falls bit at the beginning
That was epic😂
I try.
Not sure if you know but there are more that 9th grader males that watch style theory. Also the other theory channels overlap too.
@@kaijukiller7345 I’m aware, that was a gag that shows my personal bias without saying I’m biased in my opinion. Secondly, yes the other channels do overlap but not to the degree Style Theory does
Ok this makes sense now lol
6:50 Textile development is an entire master's degree program. Different dyes, reducing wastes, pollution, natural fibers, natural cellulose fibers, synthetic cellulose fibers, different stitches, tens of thousands of couture technics (many of which are under strict lock and key by brands).
From talking with designers, one of the things they often find frustrating is that fashion moves too fast for them to take extensive time within the textile development part.
