Please can you explain - the width of the front bodice shoulder will reduce when the shoulder dart is closed , does that mean we have to reduce the width of the back bodice shoulder or what can we do about that ??
Thanks for the question. When the shoulder dart is closed and sent to another part of the front bodice, that dart may reduce or increase depending on the angle to which the dart was turned.
This would have no effect on the back bodice
Remember that the shoulder length of the front and back bodices are the same before you add the shoulder dart allowance to the front. So when the dart is opened, the front bodice shoulder length becomes wider than that of the back. When it's closed, then the two becomes the same again
