Just wanted to drop in and say thanks so much for the guides pal. Between yourself and Optinoob, I don't think I would've made it through a lot of those challenges without the pointers you guys provided.
Funnily enough, I was on the money with my materia setups for most of them before I even watched the videos, because I wanted to try to figure them out myself first and I love making materia combos, but the intel on how the enemies behave and react was my weak point.
But yeah, got my platinum a couple of days ago, thanks again bud!

I know a lot of it should already be known but it’s a deep combat system and I’m still learning all the layers despite getting this far towards the platinum. Cloud was the last Legendary solo battle I needed, I just couldn't get past that wolf, rarely that I would, Round 3 usually did me in. After several tries, I finally did it with your guide, nothing else worked for me but your strategy and walkthrough. The only thing I changed was that I gave myself a Healing. With Round 5's giant, I just started reading his moves, somehow I made it through, I just want to say thank you. I now have 2 left for these Battle Simulator fights, from the sadistic Chadley. Oh yeah, I also Subscribed.

Man that's impressive. I still have almost every brutal battle left and all the legendary. The only one I managed to complete was the first one.

@@ForzaTerra89 Legendary challenges are all based on your skill with each hero. Some are easier than others since you have more experience on them. Most people find Cait Sith the hardest since they hardly used him on top of his enemies.

Ironclad without Enemy Skill and not knowing that you can stop half of the rounds so I had to play it safe. (Guides I had didn't mention about being able to use stop on them and had Gottedammerung as accessory so I had to use accessory that made my LB jump to 2 levels "LB3", but these were some of the intresting and stressful fights in the game for me imo)
Ironclad is definitely a pain in the butt with how hard he hits and the big HP Pool. Any mistake feels really bad since he hits for 2000+ per hit!

Which round was the hardest for you?
Round Two was such a pain when I did this so it's nice going back now with an optimized build and completing destroying that doggo!
Round five! Ironclad hits so hard that you're dead in two or three hits!

Round 2 is not going according to the plan....after sonic boom and holding square twice the damn doggo wont get pressured..... In fact I've been trying to get this mf pressured for the last hour with multiple strategies without success.....
Maybe the last patch changed something.... Ç_ç
Forget about what I said..my damage output was lower than yours because of some build differences...I tried using exactly the same weapon + strength up + odin and it worked !!!!

Awesome guide again, Naz! The only problem I had was getting the White Terror pressured after Sonic Boom and attacking it with Prime Mode (holding the attack button down). It just would never get pressured, even following along and blocking beforehand in Prime Mode and all of that. So the adjustment I made was to inflict Sonic Boom, attack with Prime Mode for 2 atb's (like normal) and then use a limit break to force the 'pressured state' by equipping the accessory Gotterdammerung. Once pressured I followed along with your guide again of doing Mindblast etc. Worked perfect!
To others reading, the downside of swapping Gotterdammerung out with Tarrot cards or Marlboro Orb is that you will have a shorter Stop magic duration.
Another full combo would Pressure it if the first one didn't Final. Good substitute but if no one has Gotterdammerung then you can just go for a slower kill 👍

Which materia can I remove to add healing or chakra? The fifth round is so annoying. Also can I use the Gottedammerung instead? I know the stops will be shorter
Speed Up is probably the safest one to remove Super! Gotterdammerung will overall be better! I didn't mention it since not everyone will have it!

Not for all characters. Barret and Red XIII really need the boosted damage to beat their challenges!
This method worked for me after a couple of tries. I swapped out speed up for barrier and subversion for chakra both of which saved me on a few occasions especially in round 5. Thanks

Man these challenges are brutal! Would you recommend doing the team challenges first or solo challenges? Ive got everything maxed out minus the hard mode manuscripts and they're still putting me through the ringer
I'd recommend the Brutal Challenges since they require a good build to clear. The Legendary Bouts need a good build AND knowledge on how to play each character!

@@Naztalgic_Memories I know, I've been following your guides from the first brutal battle to the last, I can even say the introduction along with you in the videos haha. So, I can pass all the summons, but I get confused when I get to Sephiroth, I can't start the firaga combo after the barrier, I always die before

Unless you have footage, I can't really pinpoint the issue. As long as you're having Aerith or Tifa use Curaga when the other one is captured then you should be healthy to live the Octoslash assuming you get Barrier off. After that make sure you're controlling Tifa and just slide as far away from the group as you can to grab Sephiroth's attention. While that's happening Aerith should have ATB to Curaga and then you just swap to Yuffie and win like the other fights.@@Brufilipe

@@Brufilipe I followed Naz's guide and it got me most of the way, but was still having trouble at the start of Seph- I switched a couple things though- at the start of the fight I use atb boost on Yuffie and aerith VERY fast- switch to Tifa dodge quickly to the far left> have her dodge sephs first two attacks> switch back to aerith atb ward on yuffie> menu cast magnfiied haste w/ tifa (equipped with chocokings cape)
This is where things get tight and a lil rng- brumal form and start launching those firagas as SOON as you get two atb- once you get that first one off launch a couple more and THEN put arcane ward down and finish the fight! if done quickly enough and with a lil luck, you can avoid shadowy chains altogether. If you want to see this in action check out Fimbul Winters video- Only things I really changed was using Tifa instead of Cloud for the faster dodges and giving her magnify haste- Yuffie had Magnify barrier and magnify healing- didnt end up needing barrier (thank god) if all else fails...switch to graphics mode idk why, but for some reason this and the 3d brawler were easier or me at 30 fps...idk if it gave me an extra few milli seconds or if this is just my imagination XD
realized that the materia you used, or at least some of it, like the elemental stuff, isn't materia i often used through the game, so i'm gonna work on AP maxing my materia, then come back and try your strategy. After finally finding a way that worked for me to get past round 2, then somehow making it past the other 2 rounds, i finally died at round 5 and decided to look for more help (more so than i already had). But your strat seems solid. I'll come back to this after i wind down a bit from frustration! lol

I had a go at one of those cheese guides. Felt boring to play, I actually enjoy wiping on the Iron Giant now as I get to kill all the others over and over again in style whilst learning how the game actually is meant to be played. The Dog rotation is just amazing. I've even got perfect blocks down now. Added in Guatarmerangiesgiuiioyshpiop accessory for a bit of a flavor. Thanks so much :) I'll get the Big Guy down tomorrow. First 4 are a breeze now.

It only does Gravity if you're not in melee range Jkatarn!
How did you pull that combo off from 2:20 to 2:23? holding down the square button cloud does a different action in punisher mode then the one in the video.
I think we found out why Mauri! You're not using Prime Mode if you see Punisher Mode.

I had no idea you can stop these enemies…any enemy I’ve tried to use stop on, it didn’t work so I don’t use it 😅
I’m cheesed cuz I was able to beat the hecking wolf, then I lost to a regular attack from the malocerus and every attempt I’ve tried after, I’ve lost to that damn dog 😤

Ironclad keeps casting Graviga on me and he starts chasing me and I can’t outrun or out dodge the Thanos blade thingy before I can heal myself😩 Excuse me while I go scream into a pillow because I’ve almost had him several times and then some bullshit happens.😭
He casts Gravity if you take too long OR you're not in melee range for him to hit you. Try and play more aggressive and counterattack every hit besides the !
@@Naztalgic_MemoriesI kept dying to that backhand so I guess I was trying to play more cautiously. I’ll keep trying to go aggressively.
@@nian73 Hug the hand with the sword. I found out after doing Bonds of Friendship that the hitbox of the backhand doesn't hit you if you're next to the other hand!

2:20 how are you pressuring it so fast after the sonic boom?
Perfect Guarding Pressures enemies quicker! You don't need to as it should Pressure the next full Prime Mode combo. You do need to Counter Attack each hit until you get two ATB however.
Did they buff Iron Giant? Im not getting nearly enough damage on this guy and i have all buffs active.

I don't understand the wolf fight. When I hold the block button the wolf hits me as if I don't. I can barely get one ATB before dying, let alone two.
Are you in Prime Mode?

This is great guide. First one that I was able to kick White Terror ass super easy. My problem is round 3 - don't know exactly when and with what attack this annoying enemy...

Im playing 3rd day in a row and I can beat very easy all first 4 fight.I can't win 5/5...He cast Graviga but if im lucky he cast Firga and heal me. So difficult.But damn 87/88 7Star Hotel - platinum in already in my hand...So close but also so far. I only hope, other solo fights are easier...

The legendary challenges all depend on your experience and skill with each character. Some you'll find easier than others.
Any Guides on Chapter 14 Boss - Hard Mode?

Is there anything you can do about the Ironclad's Graviga attack?
From the data I have, it only does it if you're not in melee range. You can save up two ATB to use a Thundaga as he'll use it to stun him out of it but who knows how long you'll be sitting on that.
@Naztalgic_Memories That time I posted, I was indeed far away, so I figured you might be right. Then tonight I had a fight where he bitchslapped me across the map and then combo'd into Graviga. Again, I figured it was because I was far away from him. But then I lost to him two more times, including right now, when he used Graviga even though I was right up against him the whole time. I can't wait until I'm done with these challenges. I'm not sure if I'll even finish these. One time I got his HP so low I couldn't even see it anymore, and he hit me with who-knows-wtf and I died when I thought I had dealt the final blow on him. I can only imagine what the summon gauntlet challenges are like. They sucked enough as it is in the first Remake.
@@LordYggdrasill That's odd! I only saw it when I wasn't in melee range. It could also be an enrage attack since it brings you to one HP. By enrage, I mean you took too long incase you're new to that term!
@@Naztalgic_Memories I don't think my two aforementioned fights were going on for very long before he casted Graviga on me, but it's possible. Anyway, I intended to record the next fight that he used Graviga on me tonight. Thankfully, I managed to beat him on my first try tonight! =] I did record it, and he did use Graviga, but I saw that he used it a little under 3 minutes into the fight.

How do people get so many materia slots
Chapter 13 has two armor pieces with eight slots!
The end for me just isn’t working. I’m not doing anywhere near enough damage even with stopping him twice
There's no enrage so just avoid his damage and you'll win Forza.
I'm not sure how your damage is lower unless you don't have maxed out materia. I assume you're using the build one to one.
@@Naztalgic_Memories yeah using one to one. I’m not used to using punisher mode. Not sure why. Just when you go ham on him while stopped I kept getting launched into the air out of prime mode. Maybe I should be holding the button down instead of tapping square but fire bolt blade keeps launching me
@@ForzaTerra89 Firebolt launches you into the air so you can do Braver or Aerial Onslaught 👍

Edit: just got it, 4in after this comment. That was a nightmare. Once my Elemental got to level 3, that came in clutch on the last round (did this without the LB item BTW).

@@Akunza If you're not confident in weaving in attacks while guarding then do this Akunza: Go to Prime Mode and hold your Guard button. Once it hits you hold down guard again until you have two ATB then follow the rest of the commands I give! Good luck 👍

@@Akunza In Punisher Mode you can counterattack back by holding Guard Button!

It defo works but I randomly had a run where it wouldn't get pressured out of like 5 runs where it did

Thank for Mcmurphy! I didn't do the research because I didn't think pronouncing the name of an accessory hold so much validity on my knowledge of the actual combat that you'd be stuck on. Weird to judge on that but now I know how to say it in the future 👍

that 3rd round monster don't stagger it keeps using concentrate and gives relief to the pressure gauge.... It does not stagger.
I hit with level 3 lighting while it was concentrating and focused thrust to finish the pressure gauge
