I’m just here to share my thoughts on the “argument”. I have a sister who is now currently in the US and she’s providing us by working odd jobs ( cleaning houses, babysitting, caretaker ) and I did not even heard about a complaint from her. She is working by the hour and if she can do that so can other women. The thing is that women are so focused on “privileged men”, that they are living in a “patriarchy”. My sister doesn’t even focus on that, she focuses on her family and putting food on our table. Not only does she have to focus on us but she has to focus on her own family. The thing is that if you just focus on your work, your productivity then you’ll be successful. Don’t compare.

@@bradleyboyer9979 Please explain what you mean. I get that we can take an anecdote to be true, and empathize. I don't get how drawing a general conclusion from one case is ok, while drawing conclusions from a large number of cases is not ok. Stories can be manipulated whether it's one story or ten thousand. Somehow from this you extract something you are sure is true; you just declare it to be true. I don't get why you are sure.
@@johnmalcolm4822 I'm not defending anecdotes. I'm telling you that statistics and data are also manipulated, by definition. Just look at this scenario in this video. If someone read their report without critical inquiry, they would think that there is this horrendous wage gap. But just a little pushback, and the whole thing falls apart. People just have to be discerning when they are analyzing anecdotes or data. Far too often today, people just take "data" at face value and do not think about how the data was obtained, what the purpose of the data was, or any flaws in the methodology. The vast majority of "data" these days is purposefully sought for political reasons.
The biggest data they ignore purposefully is, the efficiency and productivity. If an employee A is bringing 200k business and employee B bring 100k for the company who should get paid more? Leave the gender aside. Anybody who has done the business will know that if women truly produced same for less, men would be jobless in a day. Another logical fallacy of feminism is that they say not all women are the same but while they are saying all men are the same, it''s beyond ridiculous.
As an Australian bloke, I'm heartened to see the senator pulling apart whatever narrative these ladies were trying to put forward. The measure is hours worked, plain and simple.
Dude, great explanation of the deception built in to the ‘wage gap’ argument and it’s supposed implications. Senator Leyonhjelm was an absolute legend and I miss him in our (Australian)Parliament. Great to see someone present with such great understanding the most obvious flaw in the wage gap complaints. It annoys me people lead with the difference in wether men or women are more likely to ask for a raise. While that may be true, the real issue is that they haven’t collected the data evenly on hours work and have skirted over it for the sake of their narrative. Congratulations man.
The thing is that bothers me about this is that they were lying. They knew that if they looked at the hours they wouldn't get the results they wanted. They should be fired for lying
I’m currently taking a course on ethics in business and this type of behaviour (omission of material facts) is highly unethical. For women they base their views on how a situation makes them feel not on facts, statistics and data.
Look, I just wanna come home...turn on a little switch & have lights. So if men are putting up electricity grids, climbing stories in the sky, digging tunnels, can get electrocuted...ALL SO I CAN HAVE LIGHTS?!?...THEN PAY THEM THEIR WORTH!!!
That's mainly it as its those who sees you working hard gets a nice rewards i know it happens to me even when i'm not working but i always give it my all when helping people out every day i leave my house or leave my room.
Women dont show up for work 10% of the time and quit every year on AVERAGE...or get fired for missing work first. I have managed hundreds for 25 years. These are FACTS!!!
From an employers standpoint, reliability is a huge factor as it relates to pay scale and promotions. The person that is there to answer questions, get the work done, know the job inside and out 40 to 50+ hours a week is far more valuable to a company than any part time employee being there one day and not the next. It takes loyalty, commitment and drive to make a company successful. Most owners I know put in 60 to 70 hours a week. When they get the right people in the right places - THEN they can scale back their own hours, knowing they have a reliable person to handle the work load. THAT will never be a part time employee.
I do security for retail stores, we had 7 openings and we needed more women to apply. Dang near every woman we talked to said NO because “it’s dangerous”, “the hours are too long I gotta turn up”, “it’s stressful” one even said “I don’t want to break a nail”. Don't worry, if the wee-man were the engineer, not only she would not give the time of day to a male teacher, but she would sue him for SA because he dared to watch in her direction. If she was making 200k a year, she would only consider marrying a man who make 1 mil minimum.

The look on the women's faces when he calls them out is classic, and all this at a time when the premier was being called misogynistic and told he was mansplaining by his female counterpart in parliament. He looked straight at her when she said this and told her she was a disgrace and should be ashamed of herself for being so sexist.
Bless your sister, lad.
Anecdotes are not statistics.
@@johnmalcolm4822 Statistics are manipulated, so they're not really reliable either unless there is a debate and the manipulation of the statistics is debated, such as what happened here.

Did they say you "hate women" or were misogynistic?
@@amoore1505 All of the above. I told them to leave their emotions out of it and look at the facts in evidence. Told them I deal with facts and logic. I laid the case out and they didn't have a leg to stand on. They were quiet as a church mouse pissing on cotton.
@@wlane2384 the last part wasn't necessary but ok😂😂👌🏾
Love your channel brother!!!!
Helping a brother out! On to future goals!
"We ask for annual salaries instead of hourly" they specifically ask for annual because its far easier to misconstrue annual than hourly, if they did hourly they wouldve immediately gotten blown out of the water.
Ikr. That they even thought they could get away with such a flimsy argument - and not even prepare for the obvious counter (ie hourly wage analysis), I mean c’mon. Ridiculous.
“We can’t collect that data.”
Can’t or don’t want to? 🤔
My thought as well...
He told them where they can collect it from.
just like a woman, they're always right because it's their point of view, if they can't prove the views being right, they either end the conversation, or they erase the info altogether, they act like 10 year olds plugging their ears not getting their way
Both. I can't pull the data cause it will effect the outcome I want. I don't want to pull the data because it will make me bust my delusional beliefs.
They physically can't because it'll hurt their cause.
Awesome point about the scalability of interest in things (generally men’s interest) vs. interest in people (generally women’s interest)
Im Aussie and this powerhouse of a bloke is a huge loss to us as he is no longer in gvnt! Big Lion heart is a so damn good he did this on so many levels!
Kicker the stats are there in ABS data was there to just take, they didnt need to work at all. Their department has millions in funding yet had no answers!
everyone needs to understand he is going slow and careful because he is very smart and way beyond these ppl. They dont get held to account like this because ppl like David arent around anymore!
you are right Poor mans Pod, Libby is wayyyyy off the mark!
I love how she assumed everyone works at a desk. Well considering men overwhelmingly work ALL manual labor jobs, most dangerous jobs.
She kept moving the goalposts and call a foul when called on her BS
Underrated comment should have more likes this should have more likes. Also she didn't mention the equality in divorce rates
