I thought you had to make sure that the platters were turning while you move the heads ? Is this not true or is it true for only some drives?
    Thanks

Yeah...I am wondering the same thing. I didn't think you were supposed to just pull them across the platters like that.

hey, what the main requirements swapping Platters? Does the hard drive must be with the same capacity, model, version? or just the same make and similar look?
    thanks

Hello friend, could you help me?
I have a Seagate Sata HDD, very similar (if not identical) to yours. The mechanical part of it was working properly, but I extracted all the internal parts, because I wanted to use it as a Mini Sander, but from then on, the Motor didn't run anymore. I've tried the connections on the Data pin (2-6, 3-5) in various ways, but the Motor won't even start. Do you have any tips? Thank you

You should change the narrator to this video. His voice is so irritating I was getting a headache just listening to him talk. Try getting a voiceover of a native-born American from a northern or mid-west state or British person with a mellow voice. Asian accents stress on the wrong syllables in a most irritating way and this narrator is especially bad. And learn not to talk so fast. warm, slow and mellow is the way.
