It doesn't mean that it's NOT distracted, either. I considered this possibility as well, even though I have enjoyed the moment for hip hop. We should be aware that this COULD be a distraction. Let's acknowledge that this beef has been entertaining for hip hop, and maybe the best time we've ever had. The other night I felt like a child at Christmas morning again. But just because I've been having fun, I won't be dumb and just insist that there is no way this could be an elitist cover up for something. Let's not be stupid puppets about this and acknowledge that evil people are around us trying to change the country, and this is a good time to change the laws.
Alright, you had me until the notion of Drake starting the beef. He didn't. He escalated it, but he didn't start it. Kendrick did 11 years ago and it just so happens to coexist with what began in the Middle East now. Sure, it's a distraction from what's going on around the world but don't say it could be like the Britney situation from years back. And if it is, I think it might be fine for people to focus their attention on this for awhile instead of stressing daily; people who care about peace need a breather and this is mine. The real world can definitely be exhausting.
