Sorry for my voice, currently with a cold and it shows! It appears there was a rendering error in the later part of the video that flew under my radar, this would show a headline from Reuters confirming what I was saying!
Great video. Although the Kung-Fu Panda boat ride is a dud, the indoor land was a great idea as it can withstand the varying weather in Beijing. A 2nd park that utilizes more indoor spaces would be perfect. 😀
You’d know better than me! Honestly the park looks very nice and that Kung Fu Panda land looks really good, especially because indoor lands are not easy to pull off, I always have the feeling they look cheap in a sense, but this doesn’t seem to be the case!
It’s a very disappointing ride, specially considering what it could be
@@themainstreetnews I think it's because there is hardly any empty space, and the layout gives lots of chances to explore the different areas within the land. By the way, feel free to use any of my footage in future videos about Universal Beijing. 😁
It is going to be so interesting to see what a new Universal 2nd gate looks like…Hopefully they don’t just copy and paste Epic Universe
I don’t think that would happen here, maybe have a similar layout and another land like Nintendo, but it’ll have that big Chinese influence
@@themainstreetnews yeah, I could see them replacing Paris WW with diagon alley and How to train your dragon already has a show in USB so they would need to change that as well
Great in depth coverage, now i want to go visit!
Thank you! Wasn’t sure how contagious my “wanting to visit” was 😄
A second park based on Chinese IP would make sense, however my hopes aren't as high fully ignoring the Universal IP as seen with the Bollywood Park in Dubai turning into Real Madrid World. Maybe we could see some sort of alliance like Disney had with MGM and I think could be possible for Disney or Universal with a Nollywood studio since is booming currently and a major tourist attraction like a Disney or Universal resort could be that. This is more long term at the moment, but is probably closer to happening than it seems
Oh I don’t think the park would be devoid of Universal IP, but rather have a strong connection and inspiration on Chinese culture!
Totally fine dude loved the video
Could universal bring Halloween horror nights to universal Beijing
Haven’t they had a Halloween Horror Nights season? It would be a great event if not!
@@themainstreetnewsThey will definitely not have HHN in Beijing. Chinese beliefs on such things are very strong and it wouldn't be successful. Horror is very much not a thing there and even at home I can't decorate our house for Halloween because of my Chinese spouse lol 😂
Interestingly they did celebrate Halloween last year… I did know about how different Chinese culture is when it comes to these topics, so it makes these images even more interesting. Just search “universal beijing halloween” and you’ll see what I mean 🎃
@@themainstreetnews wow very surprised and so was my husband lol. Definitely more kiddie looking though kinda like Mickey's not so scary Halloween. Love all the food items looked pretty neat. I still think they have a long way to go before they get anything like HHN but if anyone can risk it and do it well its Universal!
I was very surprised too! It’s interesting because they seem to focus, as you said, a lot more on introducing Halloween with smaller more friendly things. It’s not the first time Universal has introduced the American Halloween, something very similar happened in Spain some 25 years ago when they acquired the PortAventura park!
I hope they and something interesting soon, I found Universal Studios Beijing to be a utterly disappointment.
Really? How so? The resort and rides look incredible from this side of the screen
@@themainstreetnews It’s really not.
I may not enjoy every change they made at Shanghai Disneyland but you can see that Disney really put their best foot forward into an emerging market both culturally and technologically to create some of the best attractions ever.
Universal on the other hand just copied pasted popular attractions from other parks with the few new attractions being some of the worst ever created (Jurassic Flyers, Kung Fu Panda boat ride). The Jurassic Adventure is a meme.
From this side the park seems to have some really cool rides, especially Jurassic World Adventure, but it also seems to need some more E-Tickets. I think adding a ride like Hagrid’s would do wonders to the park in terms of the attraction lineup.
Disney is poor man’s Universal
