I wouldn’t necessarily say that eating at Soho Farmhouse is supporting a local business. It’s a global brand with profit of £130m annually. You do plenty to help true local businesses though e.g. your local butchers, Quince and Clover etc, so I’ll let you off. The message is a good one.

I love that you show us the maintenance of your beautiful house as I love historic houses. I find it as interesting as your other content. We also have a 300 year old oak tree at the end of our drive, amongst other trees, which sheds a lot of leaves and dead branches at this time of year so I can really relate to effort involved to keep everywhere tidy. It's a terrible time for small business's everywhere and all stores that don't have online sales. All I can say is I feel lucky living in Sydney, lockdown has worked well here as we head into summer, but the UK and Europe are going into winter, not so good. Much better to stay safe....
On a brighter note, great vlog and some wonderful PR... I'm a huge fan of Roger & Gallet having used it since the early 80's, lucky to later have access to wholesale, so I have a good stash including some rare fragrance and soaps, Carnation soap is to die for! Sadly the old favorites are no longer made but I still wear Vetyver - but worse still R & G is no longer available in Australia.... The leather armchair is right up my street, I have one like it and it's been moved in and out of rooms in tight spaces, so will contact you with a couple of tips... 💗 D

If the lockdown continues in December you could do vlogmas at home and ask Charlie to create a delicious meal at home. For example you could get dressed up and go 'out' to the cinema room for a tapas evening. Then you could have an alpine picnic in the garden and wear your ski gear to keep warm. You could create an Italian bistro in another room and wear the clothes that you would wear if you were allowed to go to Italy, nice music and decorations and dancing. I know that this would keep me entertained at this difficult time.

In South Africa we went into lockdown at the end of March and for about 5 months alcohol and tobacco products were deemed illegal - I think it was about in August that was allowed again with the ease of the lockdown levels were eased and now we're in stage 1 x

My boyfriend is going out for a meal tonight with his friends (a birthday celebration before lockdown) and I’ve just made a mac and cheese for myself! I’ve added a dash of truffle oil and it’s delicious ♥️

Hi Josie. To get your new office chair through the door, try taking the legs off the chair. They may unscrew. Another alternative is to take the door off the hinges to give you another inch or so. I’ve been through many military moves and know the tricks. Good luck in lockdown. Chris, Indiana, USA.

Loved the dried flowers. Those purple ones look like beauty berries. Hope you get the chair in and can find a desk to fit through the door as well. The office will be so nice. Would love to see more of Charlie’s cooking and holiday videos.

My mom and I took what we had left over some old white candles and melted them down and Took fresh leaves and dip them in the wax. Then you lay them out to dry and then it keeps those leaves fresh and pretty to decorate with for fall 😊🍁

Dear Josie (and Charlie) just to say how much we love your films - so joy filling and positive. Also noticed in the fire place in the dining room you seem to have an old metal roasting frame from Tudor times - think it's next to your bread oven. In the old days it would have swung out and you would have put a vessel a bit like a large jam saucepan (the one's with the metal handles that stand upright) to cook potage (a form of soup) that would slowly cook. Anyway you might be able to use at Christmas to make some hot punch? xx

That is the most beautiful chair i have ever seen, i reckon it would look amazing as the main chair for that antique office you want, i imagine an Earl sitting in his library in that chair. Stunning!

Dear Josie, nothing about your wonderful house could be boring - since I've always been living in quite new houses every information about maintaining these kind of historical buildings is incredibly interesting!
In Germany we are also going back into lockdown, but here the shops are still open. At least a glimpse of hope for many little businesses, even if all the pubs, bars and restaurants have to close. And for us musicians it's going to be another tough month. But we'll get through that!
I am really looking forward to vlogmas - however this will look like! And I really love watching your videos while practicing the guitar, this is actually the best part of the day :-)

I am a burger lover Josie and I have to say the burgers and fries looked soo delish! Your vlogs are so interesting and i love hearing about your house and the "how to" of keeping it upgraded ,yet tying it into the heritage aspect. Charlie has done his research. Here in Canada its sad that it seems customary to just tear old buildings down and build new, you lose so much of history. I wanted to say how lovely your Sunday dress was. Sorry to hear about lockdown, i hope its short lived, coming out the other side full steam ahead. Like Charlie said," 2021 will be epic" Keep smiling.
