Carlos and his ADHD: let me rearrange all the cards and show off my skills while also engaging in the conversation
He's so focused with the chips and the cards 😂😂😂😂
Wait, Carlos has ADHD?!???!?!?!? 😮
@@ETHANTHEGOAT33 no I don’t think so, I was just joking, but who knows
Oh ok
From a person with adhd yes that’s adhd in a nutshell
Wish they did this more often. F1 and NASCAR drivers getting thier own perspectives across
The more NASCAR and F1 crossovers there are the closer the motorsport world is to peace
i find it funny how a lot of f1 and nascar fans are constantly at each others’ throats slagging off each side’s favorite sports meanwhile the actual drivers show a lot of respect for each other
One of the greats Dale Earnhardt was a huge F1 fan and he actually won the day Senna died. He mentioned Senna in that interview.
@@versthappening603personally it feels like f1 is always ragging on Nascar, not the other way around
@@samcumby it becomes so repetitive it’s sad honestly
“haha dumb american turn left”
*At least* Shell is trying to make this same old conversation selling themselves through the drivers seem more interesting with a conversational style. Last year, they were two clicks away from holding up a Shell Logo to the camera and grinning while the light hits their teeth just right.
Right I would rather have PR like this. Even the obvious shell talk "How are they supporting you" was interesting.
yeah i agree, even though half this video was completely scripted and very ironic with Shell talking about sustainability, it did feel more natural than before.
@EllaGP22 can we even see Hamilton doing this type of promo with Charles next year?? 🤔 Don't think he does this type of stuff at Merc anymore, so I'm interested to see if he'll have to toe the line or if that contract is a tight no.
@@Banyo__Ferrari seem to be much stricter on PR appearances than Mercedes, so probably
@@Alexoperplexo Mercedes were the ones that at least used to be tight on PR. Back during their winning years you never saw Lewis or Valtteri doing promos, even within F1.
love the completely natural and not forced way they made the drivers talk about the sponsor
They each probably made at least a million dollars for it. At least it was better than the yikes they made last year.
i don't know why but when Charles said "three and a half hours going left" it made me laugh
Lool I mean, its what everyone outside of America wonders about Nascar lol....
"careful Charles, the judgement is showing" 😂
@@Amm17ar That's what people *inside* America wonder about Nascar...
@@aedenspear2394 loool
It is though. I remember I attempted to watch NASCAR back in the early 2000s & I just didn't get it. Maybe it is more fun in person but tv it's kind of boring
Ah I like what Carlos said
“You cannot compare, it’s different disciplines.”
Because it’s totally true. Put an f1 driver in nascar and he’ll run in the rear and same vice versa. 2 very different things
NASCARs don't even sit evenly most of the time to account for all the banking and same-direction turns on ovals. Imagine an F1 car that was noticeably squatted to one side what that would do to the aero.
@@brandocomando29an ex F1 driver can get a seat in nascar. Not the other way around
@@LopoBeaterfound the insecure F1 fan
His dad being a rally champ probably helps him understand this
You know Carlos was serious about that engineering deep dive way back in his McLaren days.
he took courses on it too, even more during covid. seidl said his feedback was on par with the engineers. he's v brainy, i expect him to be a great team principal one day.
I've always said he strikes me as one of the very best car development drivers on the grid. He and Albon always give a lot of insight in interviews. I think Max is very good as well, but there are often so many distractions at any time that the interviews focus on those, instead.
Carlos be like...F**k the roundtable...let me showcase my OCD skills" 🤣🤣🤣
Wish they could've spoken a little about the common thing between Ferrari and Nascar: Kimi Raikkonen
Also Dan Gurney and Mario Andretti haha.
@@j66gv Daniil Kvyat too!
add on jenson button as well
@@prestons_music But neither Button nor Kvyat drove for Ferrari?
@@j66gv Daniil was a reserve driver for Ferrari but never drove for them.
Best advertisment so far. Much, much better. This is actually interesting.
As a F1 fan and a NASCAR fan, I loved this.
F1🤝NASCAR
he might have won daytona had the big crash not happened his car was looking good
Need to see them do a car swap for real!!
I wonder if they will do it at COTA
There is a video of Jimmy Johnson and Fernando Alonso swapping cars on McLaren's youtube from 5 years ago, so its possible it could happen.
Lewis and Tony Stewart did a swap as well
They need to do it at the right tracks.
F1 on a road course and the cup car on an oval. Let the f1 drivers fully experience a cup car.
I could watch an entire 2 hour podcast of this, genuinely so interesting
As much as is made of how superior F1 technology is, Charles and Carlos seem impressed by the details of what Joey does. Especially the short practice and length of NASCAR races.
Gosh man, if you ever are interested look into some of the engineering details from previous eras. Nascar used to be like F1 but more behind closed doors which fortunetly more of that is coming out now. Teams were striving for every little bit working in and out of the rules just making huge revolutionary jumps. Using ground effect and skewing the bodys and chassis like all this super neat stuff when you get into it. Nascar for safety and mainly for cost has cut alot of that out teams were spending millions and honestly more than they were making some years just to get an advantage. Nascar deemed it unsustainable and axed it. But I promise you there are still engineering things behind closed doors searching for any and all edges they can get. Most though is in secret because it might be outside the rulebook
NASCAR is full of guys who are wizards at finding minute improvements that seem like nothing but add up cumulatively. Teams used to do things that would make no sense to the lay person that would allow the cars to react in the wind to settle them down. Off set bodies, skewed chassis. NASCAR is more spec now but they still look for any and all edges. The engineering challenge is different, but not less.
This Joey driver seems like a very nice person, first Nascar driver I've ever seen or heard.
He is… off the track 😂
Joey is ironically the most aggressive driver in NASCAR he'll crash you for no reason🤣🤣🤣
Joey is a good guy off the track. But most NASCAR cup guys are aggressive on track and decent off track
On track joey and off track joey couldn't be more opposite. But he's a champion and great driver. Not a joey fan. But respect him. Also, Max 2024 🦁
Lol watch him race. Totally different person. He’s a mad man
first time ever i heard a f1 drivers say ovals are hard. thank you for recognizing the skills of different discipline
It’s a regular comment from these guys. They just don’t have a reason to talk about it often. Drivers always have respect for other disciplines
Yeah Max had said how hard it is to do that when he’s on iracing
they're paid by their sponsor to play nice in the video. but make no mistake, there is zero respect for the redneck circle
NASCAR ovals have been noted by F1 drivers as difficult going at least back to Juan Pablo Montoya. In fact, I don't recall a one that said they were easy. Not even Kimi Raikkonen.
Not a single F1 driver have said ovals are easy. The toxic fan base f1 has on the other hand...
Best celebrity branded content ive seen in a while. Kudos to the three of them for making the conversation sound real and not a plug.
Some NASCAR drivers were in Vegas for the Grand Prix, but I would love to see some F1 drivers at the Daytona 500. Completely different disciplines, but seeing those cars going 190mph in a 40 car pack, 3 wide, inches from each other’s doors, pushing each other, using the air to slow the car next to you… it’s really insane. As a fan, it’s crazy to watch a pack go around a track 2.5 miles around in about 48 seconds.
Carlos needs to be a team principal when he’s done
his personal strategy is already better than his own sometimes
Did you see how Ferrari didn’t mess up Ollie Bearman’s weekend? Sainz at the pit box!
Hopefully Logano doesn’t do any cheeky tactics in this game.
Jokes aside this is a really awesome crossover.
Ferrari drivers AND Joey... My childhood is meeting me now
Not a NASCAR fan but nevertheless, cool to see the drivers interact like this. Even if it is a calculated commercial, you can still see deep down, just racers talking shop with one another.
More of this kind of discussion! SUPER interesting content
Didn't expect this crossover, wow!
Sainz: “we become tire whisperers” 😂😂
Yooooo, please do a ride swap. Would love to see Carlos and Charles do a lap of the Charlotte Roval.
Now get them to do a seat swap around COTA, that would be amazing! Joey might be a bit on the tall side to fit in the car, though lol
He'd fit fine. Alex Albon & Estaban Ocon will be the tallest drivers starting 2024 at 1.86m (6'1 - George Russell is also 6'1 but "just" 1.85m)
And I believe these current-gen cars held a 6'4 driver at one point, though I can't remember who.
@@callmeshaggy5166 Then I’m all for it, get a swap going! I honestly forgot Alex, Esteban and George were 6’1. They never really show their heights that much.
Sure half of this was a Shell/Ferarri ad, a conversational feels much more natural than legacy advertisement. But also maybe yall should put Carlos in a Cup car 😂
the way Joey laughs is really bringing me a joy
Interesting content. Put the right persons onto the vdo and they will make you listen about lubricant ad for 12 minutes straight. 😂
F1 fans: "Nascar isnt real racing!"
Charles: "38 races?! 3.5 hours each?! And only 20 mins practice then qualify?! 🤯😳"
I think he got a new found respect at least lol
This is such an unexpected combo but I love it nonetheless!
They all seem genuinely interested in each other!
1:11, look at Charles' face, his "THIRTY... EIGHT?!"
Also, Shell, *PLEASE GIVE US THAT SEAT SWAP!!!!*
Awesome to see how each of them are so interested and surprised by facts of their diff disciplines
A really fun watch! Of course, getting that Shell jargon dropped very obviously, but great to hear racers talk to racers! If Charlos can respect Joey and NASCAR like this, everyone else can too…
As an f1 fan and a slight gambling addict, i was extremely on pissed that no cards were played
Super interesting to hear them compare their series, would love to see more like this
Love to see this. Feels like a more authentic way to do advertising and is great publicity for both sports and all the drivers!
Love stuff like this. It’s always fun to watch top level athletes discuss their sports.
No Josef Newgarden? He’s also a Shell Team Penske driver…
Carlos' 812 Competizione and Charles' 488 Pista are really awesome. I hope Charles also gets his dream 288 GTO one day.
"We're like 200", "That's 320"
I could have listened to them sharing their expertise for an hour. More of this!!!
Great to see this. I like how amazed they are with the others sport
this was truly awesome.!! as a race fan of both disciplines of the cars and racing series. trying to bring the whole motorsports together defiantly !!
the rising tide is great for us all! thank you, Shell driver swap needed for sure.
I need the whole conversation!! Great content.
its really cool to see that shell was able to unite to major teams and manufacturers. Ford and Ferrari
The road car part is the funniest part to me, Charles and Carlos both have Ferrari daily’s….poor Joey used to get a Ford Fusion 😂
Great Video Shell hope you do more like this
The collaboration we all needed
Who else was waiting for them to actually play a game of poker?
Yo, I loved this. I wanna see more cross promotion between F1 and Nascar in any compacity. We are all race fans. Both sports are exciting for different reasons.
We need more of this!’
Joey took delivery of a 2nd gen Ford GT 6 years ago. It's on Yt.
Love this, and would love more of it.
This is amazing, more of this please! 🙏
Genuinely cool to see something like this.
When I was 25 in '85. The 288GTO was my favorite car. It was for Europe only though.
I’d love to see more stuff like this!
This conversation was very informative.
Can you imagine 40 F1 cars on the track 😮 also I would just love a regular conversation between racing drivers across every discipline. I found this to be so interesting.
That was actually so interesting !
Really cool, besides all the directed and placed selling points for shell.
Some say they are still shuffling that deck to this day
Wait so does the video continue? I wanted to see what they were up to next. Considering it was a big add for shell, it was still pretty interesting. F1 and nascar should do more crossover videos.
As a european who got into f1 as a kid in the 90s i got into nascar and indycar a couple of years ago and i like all of them for different reasons. I like the equal respect I've been seeing. way to many snobs in the past wailing on about turning left. Call your buddies and drive all your cars as fast as you can on the interstate and than keep your foot in it for the off ramp while not straying more than 3ft from the other cars and tell me how it went.
I want MORE of this please
Ok this was excellent. Need more of these crossovers among sports stars.
This was pretty cool. More please.
great content shell 👍🏻
the moment he said "tire whisperer" made my day
As a fan of both sports....this is awesome!
Definitely need Joey and one of these guys to do a seat swap!
This collab is cool af, ngl
This was fantastic! Only thing that would have made it better is to add Josef Newgarden as he is another shell sponsored driver.
we need more videos with NASCAR and F1
This was great to watch! I love F1 but don't know that much about NASCAR, after this video my perspective on NASCAR definitely changed and I see that sport in a more positive light now. Best of luck of Joey Logano!
Its gotta be a tad weird for Carlos, I had that same feeling when Seb was leaving Ferrari. Meaning being somewhere your not wanted.
so did they get to play
The last minutes is just f1 drivers flexing haha. 😂😂
Sounds like Indy Car is using more of a renewable fuel, also from Shell.
respect between drivers should carry to the fans. They are both very difficult and different forms of racing.
This was a proper good one 🤩🤩
4:02 that police siren, made me take off my headset hahah
well done video!
This is a shell advertisement. Just Avery cool one with very cool guys
7:48 CL16 with the reliability made me have some flashbacks
Joey Logan’s was so smiley the whole time!
Ok, but I def need the ride swap to happen now. I wanna see Joey in a Ferrari F1 car
this video means so much to me
Love when NASCAR and F1 come together
The 812 is definitely my favorite supercar.
@Shell..is he one of expert in F1?..is he like a professsional motivator?..WOW he must be definetely popular and rich person now👌
Love this video.
Dudes talking cars and racing. Pretty cool! Need to do more ride swaps between Nascar and F1. Spread the word and create cool experiences for both the drivers and the people watching.
Joey carlos and Charles i would of never imagined it
Ok but can we get Josef Newgarden and Indycar involved? Josef and C2 would be AMAZING content! Or even better, competition between c2 and the bus bros!
Honestly I’d love to see Josef swap his Indy car with one of the F1 guys to hear their feedback. Plus I believe it was his dream to be in F1 anyway.
i was so hoping carlos would bring up how he used to always drive a golf around
Wonderful interview, informative and enjoyable. Kinda sad to think that Leclerc/Sainz duo will be torn apart, it is clearly visible they have a good relationship, a rarity that is under-appreciated in the sport.
