Nice one Shroomie, love fishing at night, senses are so much more heightened. Nice bream, Whaler action and a blind shark.....cool. Blind sharks close their eyes when taken out of water. Herring is a good bait if brined properly. Great to see the different baits used and man you rock on those shorts. Cheers Gary 😊

Haha yes you moved like leopard pouncing on the prey. I have heard some sharks are good to eat so I will be trying to follow you footsteps and catch one to eat. Would love a silver ghost to but I think the sharks are more prevalent. Can’t wait for the next vid 👍

@@ShroomFishing Mate, I have said for years that I would not be a sardine, pilchard or mullet for quids. EVERYTHING wants to eat you lol! . Used to get a lot of Golden Trevs on herring up in FNQ, and a fair number of barra and Jacks. Never used them down south. Interesting you did not get a bite.

Fishing off the beach is always good fun. Buy yourself an esky and some freezer blocks. Every time you cut on the sand you blunt your knife.
Makes sense, I have a chopping board but carrying all that stuff and filming equipment had to take like 5 breaks to get up and back down haha
Hi mate, I used to go to Morth Gong Beach fishing. What you have to watch all the time are always Sharks people don’t know how many Sharks there are off the sure line. Hey mate! Great video as usual! What to try rock fishing in the morning? Bonitos are big and a active in time of the year. If you want to fish at night instead of early morning, may be squidding? They are also in season. Whatever works for you, we always love to watch you videos mate.

Personally I use herring all the time, I use something called a sabiki rig to catch them and I put them in the freezer too reuse. And they catch me a lot but I don’t fish off the beach I normally fish off a pier.

Michael, they were Dusky Whalers
herring is one of the best baits for mulloway and shark, way better than mullet from my experience. ive caught 30kg school sharks on half a herring, it needs to be fresh and you need to cut it in half so it bleeds .....also sinker goes on the bottom and bait on the side of the 3 way swivel for best results, your connecting with the sinker before the bait, good mulloway or snapper would head shake off that rig, using the sinker as leverage. now show us some sydney silver !
I haven’t given up on herring one of these days it’s going to produce! we were secretly hoping for some silver so I’ll be back!

Lol herring 😂 cut head off cut 5mm of tail off scrape scales off reverse bait on hook. Top finger mark bait or any reef fish top lizard bait an jew loose the weight watch what happens .😂😂😂😂😂. Funnyman. 😂 big herring like that 6/0long shank or 4/0 long shank weight is key =zero weight .
