It's rough to release a game nowadays in a rough state since there are basically endless other games, movies and shows that are polished and want a slice of your time
Thank you! It means a lot to know you liked it! I haven't posted in a while because life has been crazy, but I'm almost done with my next video so that will be out by Saturday
Started playing this recently. Killed the Deathstalker yesterday after getting my ass kicked in the first fight. Then proceeded to kick its ass in return. Would love to see more of the game in the future but not under EA if it ever happens. Highly doubt it though. Loving how Wild Hearts feels.
@@Fenyxclips the overall game feel is definitely one of the best parts, sadly I agree that I don't think we will ever see a sequel 😞 but you never know, another publisher could give it another chance since the monster hunting genre still doesn't have any good competitors to monster Hunter
@@LockedInluke Would be great for Monster Hunter to have a competitor. WH had that potential so visibly there. So many satisfying moments either during the hunt or the finishing strike as one of the harder hitting attacks from the Kemeno is about to hit or about to enrage.
This was the first game I purchased on PS5 and absolutely loved it. Also, I'm a massive MH fan with thousands of hours in every game released. MH could learn a few things from Wildhearts.
Trying the game now that is on PSN plus with my friends and just got to chapter 2 and as huge monster hunter fan I've been loving Wild Hearts and cant wait to go home and play it, too bad it was EA and we most likely wont get a Wild Hearts 2 lol
It makes me so happy that ps+ has breathed some life into this game. Because even though there is a 95% chance we don't get another it's still a super fun game to play while we all wait for MH wilds
Same here, I used to play monster Hunter world with my best friend and something never clicked but wild hearts had what we wanted. I hope monster Hunter wilds can filled the spot that wild hearts left
As a dedicated MH fan i can say that i was so hyped for this game and played the shit out of it and i enjoyed it to the fullest. It just couldnt hold its own to MH sadly😅
i feel the pain of Wild Hearts fans, the game had a lot of potential he'll im still waiting for a Toukiden 3 or God Eater 4 (make something else tham Tales for Once Bandai!)
@@maxrosefoxanime7225 It really feels like ea was expecting monster Hunter world level of sales, because I don't understand how you could cut support so quickly when Capcom supports each monster Hunter game for years
This game was good. I ran the nodachi. but the speed of the late game monsters vs the speed of your building was what made the game hard and bad. I stopped after the deeply volatile wolf fight, that ish took me like 5 days. I seen they added a bunch of stuff but couldn’t bring myself back to play. Also they needed to make weapon mods better armor
Imo MHW/IB is _the_ greatest game ever made and MH is the best gaming franchise.... Wild Hearts was created as a junior competitor to MH and it honestly looked excellent. Its gameplay, new mechanics, new ideas, different bosses and systems looked pretty freaking fantastic for a first time competitor I'm SO pissed EA f@cked it over. Really hope it gains a cult following so a another one can be green lit
Yeah, they killed the game by launching it totally unoptimized and unfinished, the free dlc's were just things they took out because not ready for launch, and even if i find the game sometimes unnecessary over difficult it is an awesome take at the genre, not a bland MH clone.
EAs biggest mistake was trying to copy MH. They clearly did their own thing with heavily inspired MH gameplay. Thats fine. Take what works and do their own thing. They did that for the most part, but EA wanted record breaking results and to beat MH and it didnt. So they left it to die. This game was dead the SECOND the studio signed with EA as publisher.
I completely agree, it's basically impossible to into enter a genre of gaming and become the best game in the genre with your first release. Monster Hunter has had over 2 decades to become loved, I have no idea why EA constantly has such high expectations of it's developers.
@@LockedInluke precisely. I do really like Wild hearts and enjoy it for what it is, I recently actually got a used copy in mint condition, at my local Pawnshop for 25$. Which I'll admit, definitely helped me enjoy the game even more. Despite the issues it has. Thank God it wasn't an online only game and has singleplayer. Cause when the servers die off, atleast I'll still be able to enjoy the game.
I just love this game !! I tried MH and felt overwhelmed with information and something never clicked ! It felt like you had to try hard to enjoy the game... Something I do not feel with Wildhearts (just my personal opinion)
of course ea did. sadly ea and other companies see us as walking wallets not as people so thats no surprise. maybe if they didn't they would make more money
I think the perspective that we're just wallets is one of the main reasons why so many games fail recently. This is why Capcom has done so well recently, they understand they have to work for both our money and time.
I think the game died for 2 reasons. 1. The poor optimization on launch left a massive bad public impression to the game. Although it was (mostly) fixed later, people still think the game is "bad" and a large chunk of steam negative reviews are left there. 2. EA's shortsighting decision to pull out early. Apparently the game didn't do well enough, so EA gave up to cut cost maybe. What they didn't expect is that there are no new Monster Hunter games in both 2023 and 2024, and they abandoned their chance to fill the hole when there are literally no competition.
You know I saw this and well I was playing it just to finish afew loss ends. But I managed to help afew players online afew days again. But yup tsukuyomi was by far my favorite... still there was potential for the game. But yet EA screw them over
I'm glad there is still a community enjoying the end game. It's sad we may never see the games full potential, usually the second game in a franchise is where the game comes to life. All the systems that were a foundation get to be built out... I guess I'll just need to enjoy monster Hunter wild!
The game was kinda fun just got boring pretty fast and hella annoying monsters constantly attacking and you had to rely heavily or the katakuri so much to the point if you ran out of materials you were almost helpless unless of course if you were using the blade or a rope weapon then you never ran out and you never got hit
wild hearts die just because its EA period Im a fan of toukiden 1&2 and all of MH series but the reason i didnt get this is because performance issue and its EA
I think the biggest reason I wasn't drawn to wild hearts was its lack of diversity. There's hardly any diversity in the armor or weapons and especially in the play styles. Each weapon type necessitates almost an identical play style. It all felt so shallow.
Its on Playstation plus extra game catalog now.
Wild Hearts was so fun. Sadly it was plagued by performance issues and overall not a very polished experience

Wild hearts will always hold such a special place in my heart. It just needed more love!
That cult of the lamb music. Loving it

18:57 I still believe she’s alive. And we would have found her if we got a expansions
man, I really wish I was able to see what they were planning for the expansions if the game had been a huge success
Great video, but watching how you kept dying reminded how playing online would slowly make me go insane. Extraordinary game.
Yeah, he seems like the worst person to play with...the guy you ALWAYS have to revive cause they suck

I was interested in this game. Gameplay looked fun, but the performance issues and lack of content kinda turned me off
The pheonix bird kicked my ass when I fought it first and I think monster hunter is easy
The pheonix bird fight is insane the first time, it was honestly easier for me to kill it alone than with a group
I'm tried of ea and there bs with cuting support because a game doesn't make them money like bruh the game was good but ea don't wanna fix there mess

Can you still play this game? Is it offline too
You can still play it with friends and I believe the match making still works but I didn't use random matchmaking that often so I'm not 100%
You said u experienced no major performance issues, but was that on PC or Console?
Both me and my wife played on PS5 while my friend played on PC and had minor issues

I am sad EA left this beauty to die
Does it play like Toukaiden? Because, as much as I liked the game, it felt like dynasty warriors more than MH.
Idk man Rise feels more like Dynasty Warriors than MH. If Wild Hearts felt like Toukaiden then it might fit right in.
To me it feels closer to a hibrid between nioh and mh.
